I had a reservation there for months on a trip of a lifetime I planned for months. A few short days before my trip, I was informed of Kennel cough at the facility, but it was too late for me to make other plans. My baby got kennel cough and Come, Sit Stay informed me I had to pick up my dog immediately, but I was out of the country and felt helpless. I'll note they took no precautions to ensure she didn't get kennel cough even knowing she's a vulnerable breed. Only after I said I had no options, they agreed to quarantine my pet, but her conditioned worsened so they shipped her off to a pet hospital where I incurred an over $3,000 bill. My pet could have returned to Come, Sit, Stay after she was out of danger but they wanted nothing to do with it. They gave me a small stipend, which doesn't come close to the money I'm out and when I came to pick up my pet, the so-called manager was defensive and shifted the blame to the pet hospital asking me: "oh, they were't transparent with you?" Don't bother signing your dog up if they are not a "young dog" or have any sort of history that involves any type of surgery, regardless of whether they received a clean bill of health and a full recovery. They will be considered not a good candidate for DayPlay and will reject them. I had used them when my pup was younger and loved them but the fact that now they will not allow her to return because she had a past surgery and is considered too old at 7 years old and they need to do this for her "safety"? Sounds like a cop out. Should be left up to the pet parent to decide as they are the only ones that know their dog. My dog can hike 14er's, swim, run for miles, play, but not attend a dog Daycare? Find someone else who actually cares that you don't want to keep your dog cooped up in a house all day and pay them instead. read more

I used Come Sit Stay for my 11 month old pup, Coors while I was on a skiing trip over Christmas and they were great! It was Coors' first time being boarded overnight so I was really worried, but the staff at Come Sit Stay were able to relieve all my worry! The best part?! The available add-on amenities! I've been wanting to teach Coors how to swim (he's a golden retriever and all my past goldens loved to swim) and they have a heated pool (with life jackets). Obviously in Denver it's impossible to find a pool for dogs unless you or a friend have one so I was so excited for him! I can't wait to see the pictures of him swimming! They don't have webcams to watch in real time, but they do a good job of posting pics throughout the stay! Coors looked SO happy (see attached picture). The managers are rude, do not listen to rational questions or respond with a solution based customer satisfaction focused approach. I started taking my Labrador puppy, Walter White here when he was 4.5 months old. He has grownup love his all day dayplay. If you want to bring your pup here, you'll need to do an evaluation. They're very booked for dayplay, so it's best to make a reservation at least 2-3 weeks in advanced You need to make sure your pup has all the right vaccinations and forward it to Come Sit Stay prior. On the day of the evaluation, they'll take a pic of your pup and bring them back to the play area. Unfortunately parent hoomans aren't allowed back there. At the end of the day, they'll provide a report card that shows how your pup did (if they have regular stool, were shy or playful, aggressive or happy). I decided after Walters evaluation to go with the pack of 20 full day dayplays. It was the best choice I made for Walter. He comes here every Tuesday and Thursday. Afterwards, he's soo tired and happy. Every so often, the employees will post a pic of your pup. It just captures the essence of how happy your pup is playing all day with their favorite friends. It's also a great way to socialize your puppy! (But be warned, if your puppy is not neutered or spayed, you made have to reconsider. They will give you a warning if your dog shows signs of mounting towards other dogs.) Ive also decided to bring my puppy here for the level I dog training with Holly. It's a 5 week course that consists of 1 hr classes each week. This is the good citizen class that consists of ten items to be evaluated on: Accepting a friendly stranger. Sitting politely for petting. Allowing basic grooming procedures. Walking on a loose lead. Walking through a crowd. Sitting and lying down on command and staying in place. Coming when called. Reacting appropriately to another dog. Reacting appropriately to distractions. Calmly enduring supervised separation from the owner. If you're committed your dog will excel. It all depends on the owners motivation to religiously train your dog! read more

I have shared this story with a lot of people, and every single one has been appalled; I have no doubts that what we experienced at Come Sit Stay was NOT an isolated incident, and it is important that all pet owners are informed before trusting this facility. We attended the beginners puppy group class with our small (9 lbs) puppy. 'Lead' trainer Holly (who also does their board-and-train dogs) used what she considers to be a sound method for correcting dogs who want to grab the leash and harness and play tug of war (normal puppy behavior). Our puppy was newly recovering from an injured paw and was still sore and very weak in his front leg. She wanted to illustrate for me how to 'show him who was boss', and proceeded to twist his collar around her finger to choke him and pull up and twist the scruff of his neck into her fist while he cried and yelped through what breath he could get. He was clearly frightened and in pain. Towards the end of this, he attempted to lunge after her hand, to which she responded by shoving him onto the cement floor. When she let go, he sulked back to me with his head down. He was shaking and leaned hard on my leg, and she told me that he was likely to bite people and be aggressive and that I needed to get him under control immediately. He was evaluated the next week by a certified, highly respected dog trainer with over 17 years of experience following a career as a vet tech, and she saw no signs of aggression in him. It's been 5 months and he has turned into the most confident, wonderful dog. Never ONCE have I had to use harsh physical punishment like this, and through many vet visits, x-rays, and blood panels that most puppies never have to experience, he has not once shown aggression to a vet tech, veterinarian, or surgeon. As a matter of fact, they often comment on how even tempered and great he is. He lunged after her hand because she scared and hurt him. What she did was not fair and we consider it abusive. Both Holly and the owner of Come Sit Stay defended the use of techniques like this and I have NO doubts that they are using aversive, harsh, physically punishing corrections on the dogs in their care, without regard for their well being. The fact that they defend this in a puppy kindergarten class, even on a small breed injured puppy, is very telling. The latest research and science into dog behavior and training has indicated that using aversive, fear based, dominance techniques in training can and does cause massive aggression and behavior problems. They are very, very lucky that our puppy is so amenable and bounced back from this, because some other dogs would not have. Please avoid this facility if you care about the health, temperament, and well being of your beloved family pet. There are some INCREDIBLE trainers and home boarding options available that will love your pet and treat them with respect. . .not punish them for being a dog. read more

Our Mutt, Norman, has been going to Come, Sit, Stay Littleton for several months now (what a spoiled dog!) It's just a few miles down the road from our place and they almost always have availability but best to call ahead as sometimes they book up. PROS 1. Huge location, they separate large, small, and older dogs, and there's an indoor pool 2. When you're overnight boarding, there's an array of room sizes to choose from 3. You get a report card emailed to you with overnight boarding 4. Staff are majorly friendly and you can tell they love animals. One day on pickup, one of the owners walked Norman to our car and chatted with me for a few minutes. CONS 1. Be aware that your doggie may come home with cuts or bruises. They don't allow the dogs to fight, but it's common for scrapes to occur. They document anything that may have gone down, but best to check if you're concerned. Norman came home one day with what looked like blood on his mouth and when I called they didn't have a record of fighting; in fact they said he was in their "green" group which means he's a friendly. I was nervous to send him back after that but there have never been any problems and he LOVES going. 2. Not really a con but I'd love if they had doggie cams so I could check on my pooch, especially when he's boarded for multiple days if I'm working out of town. Price is on par with Camp Bow Wow but I prefer this company because it's closer to home, a clean, new facility, and the staff are awesome. Highly recommended. read more

My Samoyed has been going to Doggie Daycare at Come Sit Stay in Littleton for a few months now. The facility is amazing. It has been completely designed for dogs. The ventilation indoors is top notch. I've never smelled a dog or cat or bird while there. The front desk staff are always awesome! The back staff that watch the animals love their jobs. Every time I see them they have a smile on their face! The dogs have an indoor/outdoor area to hang out in that has a pool with limited hours. Though I haven't seen any dogs in the pool yet, as the summer heats up I'm sure I will. We are about to put our dog in boarding with them for 2 weeks. I will update this post with how it went. I've already contacted them to discuss details and they have settled most of my worries, which include dietary restrictions, daily treats, noise level from fireworks, and what to bring. read more

I stopped by CSS on Sunday only to find it completely closed even though the stickers on the door said they were open all day Sunday (I don't remember the exact hours posted, but the stickers stated they opened early in the morning and did not close until late in the day.) I called today to ask about their hours on Sunday and was told they have very limited hours and are not open all day. Weird. Why does the posted time on the door say they are open all day? I wanted to bring my dog here to swim. However, it is impossible to work with this business. The gal who answered the phone was pleasant enough, but her tone of voice made it very clear that CSS does not want my business. I asked if I could bring my dog in on a weekend for an initial visit/assessment. She said they do not do any assessments on weekends for swimming UNLESS the dog is boarded overnight. I live near their facility so why would I want to board my dog overnight if I am not out of town? I think they just want to charge exorbitant fees and try to make more money by demanding that my dog board overnight. That makes no sense. So I asked the gal if there was ANY other way I could get my dog into their facility to swim. She said I would have to meet with their trainer on a weekday but the only hours this was possible was from 11 to 1. So basically, I would have to take time off from work to accommodate their schedule. No times after work? No weekends? I think most people who want to take their dog to daycare WORK and that is why they want to take their dog to daycare. CSS does not seem like they care or want your business. The staff answering the phone made it very clear that they would never make any exceptions to their "rules". But.....if you unnecessarily board your dog at night for no reason, they would be glad to take your money and let your dog swim. Otherwise, forget it. read more

The facility is gorgeous with a happy vibe. The dogs have a great play area and a nice pool to enjoy. I left my dog there for 25 days -- we're in the middle of moving and he needed a safe place to hang out. He also is a "complicated" dog. They handled him and his needs beautifully. DO NOT TAKE ANY PET HERE. We are filing a lawsuit against this company today we've been going here for years our dog recently had to stay over a week who is now in the vet with a fever bite marks lacerations on his butt scrape marks and a broken or torn muscle in his shoulder. Called and I spoke to Sara andCalled and I spoke to Sara and then I was transferred to one of the owners who was not helpful at all tried to blame our dog offered to do nothing I offered them to just pay for the x-rays and the visit and they refused to do that saying they would get back to me later today on a couple extra days of stay for free which I told him I was not interested in as my dog is currently sitting at vet. I did a little more digging and they found out that there were notes in their system that we're not relayed to me they admitted their fault and still refused to do anything. Pathetic way to treat your clients. Will keep everyone in the loop as our lawsuit goes forward we gave them a chance to make it right and they showed how much they really care. read more

While my dog has only been there less than a handful of times I can definitely tell he really enjoys his time there and always comes home tired and happy. The downside is that they do book up far in advance but I do appreciate the fact that they limit the dogs as I'm sure it can get out of hand if there are too many dogs at one time. read more

I adopted a dog who completed their 1550 dollar 3 week obedience course and he knows no basic commands whatsoever. He obviously was taught absolutely nothing. I sent an email several days ago asking them what if anything they claim to have taught him and still have received no reply. I posted a negative review to their FB page and magically they reply 24 hours later; saying how they strive for customer service and would've handled this privately....bullshit. They only bothered to reply because I made their duplicitous practices public. We LOVE Come Sit Stay. We've been boarding our dog here since it pretty much opened in Littleton. We've had issues with our dog coming home sick from other facilities but NEVER here! The prices and vaccination policies are more than reasonable. The included day play is great as you don't have to worry or pay extra for your dog to get some guaranteed time outside of a kennel. Obviously, you can add extra special time if you've got a super energetic dog and I love that you can have them get a bath before they come home to save a trip to the groomers after all that hard play. Our dog is starting to get older so I'm not sure he's going to be able to tolerate all the fun in a few years but I'm glad that I've had such a reliable facility to take him when we've had to go out of town. The only thing that would send this facility over the top is live action cameras to see your dog having fun BUT they do a great job of posting photos on social media so you can see some of the fun your pup got to have. read more

I would CSS give 6 stars if I could. After having mediocre to terrible experiences in doggy daycares that also offer boarding, my trainer recommended I try CSS for my out of state trip. The facility was very clean, the staff was professional, and a manager came out to talk to me upon drop off right away, as they had made a note on my account that she had some issues I needed to make sure they knew about ahead of time. The personalization in my pup's stay was outstanding, and any worries I had about how she would do melted away. I have a very anxious German Shepherd rescue, and they not only accommodated her anxiety, but helped her to relax and socialize in her group play. I could tell when I picked her up that she had been well cared for, as the manager on duty enthusiastically told me about how they had bonded over the weekend (made my heart soar! thank you! Molly says 'woof!'). I will DEFINITELY be bringing her back for boarding. read more

I've been taking our dogs here for years. The care is great and the attendants seem like they really care about the guests. There is a good selection of room sizes, and some are very spacious. Their training is also very good, we've done many classes with them, with great results. If you read a review that says their training is bad, you can bet that it's really the owner. I have been boarding my dogs at different kennels over the years and I have to tell you that Come Sit Stay is very disappointing. With two weeks notice of cancellation they would not refund my deposit, their manager kept repeating like a programmed broken record that the $75 deposit is "non-refundable" even when I asked if they could use the deposit as a credit for the next reservation, there was no customer service! As a locally owned business you would think they would care about their reputation. I have had to cancel during a holiday at other boarders before and NEVER did they keep my deposit.
