We had thought they had her one the right path until she woke up with a hole in her eye one morning. We were so lucky to have found this place right that same day. They were so fast at answering my call, they fit me in right away and you can tell the Doctor was so amazing he did his very best to try and avoid surgery right away. Right away he diagnosed her with an eye ulcer and gave us the correct medication. Today I'm going to a follow up appointment and the eye literally healed. On top of healing he found what was going on with her eyes the prior months. Don't look anywhere else this is the best place ! Thank you guys so much for taking care of Roxy.

Be wary when coming to this clinic for a diagnosis for your animal. My dog suddenly went blind & I…read morewas referred here to see if it was just blindness or something more and Dr. Burgesser diagnosed him w/ a terminally ill brain disease without giving the ERG test which would have ruled out SARDS and he would have properly been able to diagnose the brain disease. He never told me the prognosis; my veterinarian was the one who asked me if that had been discussed & relayed that info to me. He also made it sound like even if I had gone to neurology for an MRI & LP, the treatment would have been the same & treating it right away would increase his chances of living longer, so of course I opted for treatment! For the last 4 months, my dog has been on steroid & immunosuppressant medications which have caused his liver to enlarge and some serious GI symptoms as well. A few weeks ago, due to the GI issues, we had to decrease one of his meds and my vet expected his brain disease to take over and for him to die! This has been an emotional rollercoaster and has caused unnecessary harm to my dog!! We went to some specialists last week to see what we could do about the liver & they were the ones that pointed out Dr. Burgesser had ruled out SARDS with his basic eye tests but never gave the ERG, which is the test that would have ruled it out for sure, especially because his breed was more prone to SARDS. We got the ERG done yesterday and it was flat lined, which means he's completely blind and he doesn't have the brain disease. Of course, I was relieved, but I can't help but feel A LOT of animosity towards Dr. Burgesser for not only not mentioning this test and offering it to us to rule out SARDS, but for not being forthright about the prognosis in the beginning even. He went straight for the worst-case diagnosis and treatment that never should have happened in the first place! I am praying that there is no long-term damage of any kind to my dog from the meds. Although I'm sure he has helped a lot of animals, I wanted to share my story, so people are aware of this & to be cautious, especially if their pet gets diagnosed with a serious illness/disease by him. Get a second opinion at the very least.

She and her assistant Whitney are always prompt, professional, friendly, and very thorough. Dr Marshall has been working on my horse for about 3 years and my gelding, Ben, loves having her work on him. She has taken the time to not only watch him move on a lunge line or in hand but also under saddle, insuring that she knows exactly what is going on with him so she can treat him accordingly. A few weeks ago, Ben was in a bad pasture accident. I immediately called Dr. Gibson but she was unavailable so I rushed him to CSUVTH where his wounds were cleaned and his belly was ultra sounded and he was given the all clear. 5 days later, Dr Gibson came to see him and after her initial exam she called CSUVTH and made an appointment for him to be seen again the next morning. She was concerned that he might have a previously undiagnosed fracture. She even went so far as to reach out to me later that night to insure that I knew all that she wanted CSU to x-ray and ultrasound. Again, Ben was sent home with a clean bill of health and Dr. Marshall came back out 5 days later to acupuncture and adjust him. Ben was still very stiff and sore so Dr. Marshall took her time and worked on him at the pace he could handle, talking to and petting him constantly to assure him that he did not want to hurt but rather help him. I highly recommend Dr. Marshall for your horse's lameness and full body care and treatment. She is terrific!
