Happy doggo!
Minji K.

The most reasonably priced spot for dog grooming! Dropped off my dog at 1pm and two hours later she was all done. So quick! The groomer did a great job and can't be happier, the picture says it all! Thank you City Bark!

We got referred to City Bark by a fellow pet parent. It is convenient and close to our home. But that is not the reason that we take our precious baby there. The staff is always friendly, it is clean, and the groomer Hope is the best. When we mention Hope's name our pup gets really excited! We have been to several other groomers, but none are comparable to service and price. Dave and Julie Garnett

We are so happy to have found City Bark for our pup, Wally. We started taking him here once a week when he was just over four months to give him a break from staying at home all day. The staff was very helpful and suggested he start with just half days of play since he was young. As he got older, we took him more often when needed and ended up buying a package to save a bit of money. The staff does a good job of getting to know you and your dog and they knew our names within the first few visits. Wally started off in "Smalls" when he was a puppy, and they've slowly and carefully transitioned him into the larger dog group, also known as "Bigs". They always give me a run-down of how his day was, who he played with, if he ate all his lunch, took a swim, etc. It really does feel like a very personal experience, even though they are watching a lot of dogs. We've used City Bark for boarding as well, and have never had any issues. Something to note is that your dog must be dropped off before 5 PM on the day their reservation begins. Boarding is also a completely customizable experience. You can choose type of room (standard, suite, inside/outside), amount of play time, if they receive a bed time treat, etc. We usually do a half day of play time every day Wally is in boarding, but also leave it in their hands should he need more or less. The facility is clean and welcoming. The lobby is large and has cameras so you can see all the rooms. I love that you can also watch these cameras online! They feature a "Dog of the Month" behind the counter, which is adorable. There is also food and toys available for purchase. Dogs have access to indoor play rooms, outdoor potty areas, outdoor play areas and the pool. I want to go to doggy daycare! The only bummer about daycare is that Wally doesn't always come home smelling the best, but with the amount of hair he has and his knack for laying on the floor and rolling around, it's bound to happen - no stars off for that, more just a heads up. They do offer baths though, so if your pup is there for a while, you can take advantage of that. The staff cleans up accidents quickly which is great. I would highly recommend City Bark on 8th Avenue to anyone looking for a fun experience for their pup during the day or while they're away. The staff is attentive, facility is great and Wally always comes home tired and ready to eat and sleep.

We used Denver Pro Pet Sitting while we were on vacation and it was an absolute lifesaver. They checked in on our cats, made sure everything was taken care of, and sent updates that made it clear our little furballs were living their best lives while we were gone. Reliable, communicative, and clearly people who genuinely care about animals. It's such a relief knowing your pets are in good hands instead of just hoping the automatic feeder doesn't become their new enemy. 10/10 would trust them with our cats again. Pretty sure the cats didn't even miss us.

You can text, email, or respond in the portal. The sitters give you great detail on your pets bathroom and eating habits and medications. They also provide lots and lots of pictures! I was unfortunate enough to have an emergency while on vacation with no way to get home quickly or call anyone. Nelson and my sitter were absolutely amazing in handling the situation with urgency, care, and communicated with me the best they could given my limited availability. I hope I never have another emergency when I'm gone, but if I do, it's Denver Pro Pet Sitting I want taking care of my pets. Finally, they do their best to assign the same sitter every time. I really love seeing my sitter comment on my dog's health improvements since previous visits and makes me feel like they genuinely care about my pets and their well being.

It's changed. As many of the older post note, they staff use to be amazing, the service (photos of…read moreyour pup during The day) and programs (included free dog trainings during daycare; costume parties; raffles; etc.) exceptional, but all that changed in the past few months. I first noticed my dog was coming home with tons of energy when it use to be he crashed as soon as he was in the door. Then the daily text messages with pics of my pup unexpectedly stopped. Where it use to be every holiday or sport season was celebrated with dog costume photo shoots or other events, none have occurred in over two months. The last straw was when I picked up my pup last week and he reeked of dirty dog kennel. If anything, the dogs previously always smelled of whatever flowery odor powder they would spray on them before. During one pickup I was told a team from Austin were training at the location. Then two weeks later all the staff I knew were gone and I was told the franchise was under new ownership. While the new family owners are nice, the whole shop seems understaffed and drastically changed. I was willing to pay the high amount they charge because the pup was happy and the services were over the top, I'm now looking for another location that is either the same high level service the shop use to be or the current service level at a more appropriate price.

The problem I've found with a lot of groomers is they are booked 6+ weeks out. Unfortunately, when I need to book a groom it's most likely b/c I've spilled queso or some other drippy snack in my dog's head hair and I need a groomer today, not 6 weeks from now. Woof in Boots was able to get me in the same week I called. When I dropped her off I spoke with the groomer and explained my dog's new anxiety contributed to her recent diagnoses of Cushing's Disease. My dog is now a nervous nelly when I bring her to the groomers. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog here. The groomer assured me she would stop immediately if it got to be too much for my old lady. My dog was done in less than 2 hours (I've bene places where they've kept her for 5+ hours). When I picked her up she was free roaming in the secure doggy area. She had her tongue hanging out and seemed happy. I loved that she was cage-free after her groom since she has PTSD from all her surgeries (and being caged). I will definitely be back for all my grooming needs - and most likely day care as well!

The Sunday I went there was lots of parking in front and along the side streets. The facility itself seemed to need some attention & upkeep - the front glass window was cracked & the inside lobby looked a bit disorganized. In addition, customers are not allowed to tour the facility. As with most boarding places, all dogs need to have an evaluation before a reservation can be made. At this facility dogs have daycare with boarding. There is no charge for the evaluation. I made my evaluation time for drop off at 10am & pick up at 2pm on a Sunday. Thank goodness I received a reminder text the morning of because the text also said the lobby is closed from 10-4pm on Sundays. No one mentioned this when I made the appointment. I would have been very disappointed had I gotten there & it was closed. I did call & they asked if I could be there a little early & someone would be in the lobby for pickup at 2pm. I was not happy at pickup when I discovered poop all over one side, by the ear & neck on one of my dogs. The employee was surprised & apologetic, he took her in the back & gave her a bath. The employee was very friendly & personable. At Woof & Boots he said they try to be accommodating & flexible. For example, if some dogs like people more (than dogs) they allow them to hang out with the staff in the lobby, which is gated. They also offer the Bordetella Vaccine for $35 & provide a First Day Report Card with picture of your dog(s).

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. It's WELL worth the investment, and you will be amazed at the difference you will see in your dog. Thank you Loyal Hound & Juliet!!

I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me. Then in the car back she threw up all over the car three times. Had to immediately take her to the emergency vet where they immediately flagged her for severe and deadly dehydration (see pic with her level of lethargy in the ER). We had to stay the entire night in the emergency room with her after having extensive travels back from our trip which was taxing physically mentally emotionally as well as financially and will take us a very long time to recover from.
