I was referred to use Breezy Pet Care and it couldn't have gone smoother. Joy was able to do a meet and greet ahead of time so she knew who would be coming into the home. During that time, they played together so Joy would have a fond memory. I was away for a full week. Everyday I received an update with a picture of Joy looking tired and happy. They had walks and playtime. My house was clean when I returned and really the whole process was seamless and affordable. This was my first time having someone stay at my house rather than bring Joy elsewhere and I loved that she got to stay home the whole time where she is most comfortable. It's also nice when you're away to know there is someone looking after your home. Plants watered, mail taken in, trash brought out on time. I would definitely recommend using this service and will be a returning customer!

Instead of a collaborative conversation, it felt like: "I'm the trained vet, so don't question me." The professionalism and compassion that I witnessed during our visit was also clear. The gentleness and kindness with which they treated my cat helped him to trust them, putting us both at ease. The staff here appear to be well educated, highly trained practitioners. The facility is designed to provide a safe, private, individualized process, with secure waiting rooms. Here my cat was free to exit the carrier in which he was brought, in order to meet with the doctor to be evaluated before treatment. When they took my cat into the treatment area, I was able to observe what was happening through a window in the patrician door. I was impressed with not just the orderliness and cleanliness of the facility, but the efficiency and seriousness of how the staff performed their duties. Since our recent visit my cat is back to his vibrant old self and honestly, the modest amount that I had to pay was nothing compared to the value of my cats' welfare.

I used to really like this veterinary clinic. The veterinarians were always caring, and my dog's…read moreexams were done in the exam room with me present, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. This appointment was my dog's annual checkup after he had recently survived a very serious illness. Because of everything he'd been through, I wanted to be involved in his exam and have the opportunity to discuss his recovery with the veterinarian. After we were placed in an exam room, the technician told me she was taking my dog to the back for a heartworm test and would be right back. Instead, more than 20 minutes passed. When she finally returned, I learned that his physical exam had already been completed and all of his vaccines had already been given while he was in the treatment area. The veterinarian did come into the exam room afterward, but by then I was so surprised and upset that the entire exam had already taken place without me that I wasn't able to have the conversation I had been hoping for. After everything my dog had recently been through, I had expected to be present for his examination and to discuss his recovery before it was over. To make matters worse, some of the information the technician relayed to the veterinarian was inaccurate, which only reinforced my concern that I wasn't included in the conversation about my dog's health. The following day, I received an automated text asking how Jack was doing. I replied by explaining my concerns about the appointment and how disappointed I was with the experience. I never received a response or acknowledgment from anyone at the clinic. Veterinary care is expensive, and I'm happy to pay for quality care. But I also expect to be part of my dog's examination and to have direct communication with the veterinarian, especially after a major medical event. I don't know why the clinic changed its procedures, but this experience was a significant step backward from the level of care and communication I had come to expect.

I want to share my experience with Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital (13741 Colorado Blvd, Thornton,…read moreCO) this past August 2025. Decades ago, I used them as my vet clinic, but they became too high in cost than other offices closer to me. It took me a long time to contemplate how I wanted to approach the unethical business practices happening at this business. On August 13, 2025, I contacted them about euthanasia for Noel, my almost 18-year-old kitty. At the time, Noel's health went down rapidly in a matter of 2 days. On that day, I made the difficult decision to have her humanely euthanized. I made a call to my established veterinary office and they were unable to schedule an appointment that day so I made calls to several vet offices looking for available appointments, but also getting price quotes, since we all need to be price conscious during these difficult times. Even though, Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital was priced higher, I chose to use their services. WHAT A MISTAKE! A friend and I were placed in a room after standing in their lobby for an extended amount of time after we arrived. In the room, while we waited to have the vet euthanize Noel, the vet tech managed the financial part of the transaction - IN THE EXAMINATION ROOM! My friend and I were crying our eyes out while I held on to Noel tightly for the last time and the amount charged was significantly HIGHER than what I was quoted on the phone. I wasn't in a position to leave and go to another clinic close by or the emergency vet hospital. Noel wasn't doing well, and I didn't want her to suffer. I value transparency and integrity in veterinary care, and I was disappointed to encounter price gouging or, at the very least, a failure to honor a clearly communicated quote. A week later or so, I called and eventually spoke to the office manager and explained the situation. I requested a refund to match the quoted price, and she was unreasonable about the situation. She acknowledged that a new employee provided the quote but was unwilling to honor it. She even told me the new employee would be disciplined because of the error. At that point, I mentioned perhaps coaching was a better choice. This experience left me feeling misled and financially strained, especially since I made decisions based on the information provided to me. I was very deliberate when I obtained and documented the quotes. I had each office's quotes written down giving a notebook page to each one I called. I asked the same questions to each office to make sure I had an accurate picture of what to expect before making the decision on what clinic to use. The total price they charged was $655.50 which included euthanasia, cremation with her ashes returned and the cremation urn. These charges were approximately $150 higher than originally quoted. Given my experience and what I feel was an exploitation of my grief, I would NEVER consider using Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital again. **UPDATE** - The Office Manager emailed and called me today (November 10th) offering me a full refund. I wonder why it had to come to this? It's sad that these small community businesses are being bought by these uncaring corporate businesses.

Our dog, Millie, is a bit finicky to say the least. When our previous dog walker told us that we…read moreneeded to find a new walker due to her reentry into the work force, we panicked. Jennifer came highly recommended by a couple of other dog walkers in the area and we couldn't be happier with the time, love, and security she provided Millie. Initially, Jennifer spent over an hour speaking with us about Millie's routine and preferences. We voiced our concerns with Millie being around other dogs and being scared to go out if it is raining or storming. Jennifer gave updates everyday about interactions with other dogs, whether they were good or bad. She also planned Millie's walk times around storms, if at all possible. Millie even got into the habit of jumping in the bathtub when it was storming and knocking everything down. Jennifer didn't even think twice when I asked her to remove my razor from the side of the bathtub so that Millie would not cut herself. She was amazing! Jennifer also gave us a lot of tips and contact information for a behaviorist when we became more and more concerned with her aggressive behavior. We always loved getting the text messages from Jennifer after their adventures in Chicago. Millie may become a star one day after going to the set of Chicago Fire, introducing herself to a Chicago Blackhawks player, and joining a pole dancing class at Flirty Girl Fitness. To sum it up, anyone would be incredibly lucky to be able to introduce Jennifer into their pet's life (not to mention their own). I wish we weren't moving out of state (or maybe that we could bring Jennifer with us)! Millie will greatly miss her.

The few times I was home but still had Jen walk Bacon, the way he lit up when she came in was just the best. I swear when we'd get to talking he'd be like "wrap it up guys, this is my time with Jen." We had to bring our sweet girl in again today for an injury, it was very last minute, an emergency, and I was very frazzled, but they took care of her SO well. As far as financials go, they give a very detailed estimate, with a range of what it could cost. Everything is broken down in great detail, and I know they try to cut costs for us, without it affecting our girls health. I'm VERY pleased and thankful for the crew here, everyone I've met (the technicians and the doctors) have genuinely been the sweetest, and I love seeing how gentle they are with my little baby.

After five…read moreminutes in an empty waiting room, we were greeted by a young woman who took our information without once looking at our puppy -- who was visibly frightened and in pain. Her manner was so detached that I started to wonder whether they even accepted emergency visits, so I asked. After a few long pauses, she said they did. She told us it would be a while before a doctor could see him. I asked how long and never got an answer. A second staff member came in, sat down at a computer, and didn't acknowledge us either. We left. I told them we were going elsewhere because we didn't feel welcome, and the response was a flat "Have a nice night." On paper, nobody did anything wrong -- and I want to be fair about that. But if you love animals, you can tell very quickly when you're standing in front of someone who doesn't. We went to VEG in Boulder instead, where they greeted us with warmth, and more importantly greeted our puppy and showed him affection while they got to work. I don't fault the woman at the front desk. This reads as a hiring and training problem, which falls to ownership and management. If you run a clinic for animals, basic compassion should be a minimum qualification for every person in the building. The vibe was off, and I wouldn't have trusted our puppy in their hands.

The staff were polite, but the level of expertise did not match what I expected for an exotic pet visit.
