I can't say enough good things about Sit Means Sit in Littleton! From the very first session, the team was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely invested in helping both me and my dog succeed. Judson and Blaine were absolutely amazing -- patient, knowledgeable, and so good at explaining each step of the training process. They took the time to understand my dog's personality and tailored the sessions perfectly. You can really tell they love what they do and care deeply about the dogs they work with. In just a short time, I saw such a positive change in my dog's behavior. Walks are more enjoyable, recall is so much better, and our bond feels stronger than ever. The whole experience was worth every penny, and the ongoing support from the trainers has been awesome. If you're looking for results and a team that truly goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Sit Means Sit in Littleton especially Judson and Blaine. They're the best! Thank you guys so much ! read more

I love these guys. I was/am new to rescuing, and the first few weeks with my pup were stressful to say the least... mostly because I didn't have the right education or understanding of working with a rescue, nevermind a Working Breed (the rescue had completely mislabeled his paperwork, but I love him with my whole heart nonetheless). After calling every possible training facility and trainer in the West Metro region, expressing major concern about Shadow having possible aggression issues, Jon + Judson + Blaine very patiently heard me out, answered every question I had, put my mind at ease, and also showed me that he does not in fact have aggression issues, just had some fear and needed to have his confidence built up. This was a stark contrast to a "professional trainer" (I will NEVER do business with nor recommend Canine Dimensions, particularly Summer Rhodes) who basically told me: (1) my puppy's behavior was beyond unnatural, and (2) I was not the right person for this dog, which was devastating to hear. Turns out my pup is a total love bug, very intelligent, and these guys were and are critical to my boy's development and learning. Thank you guys!!! read more

Clean and well maintained facility, professional staff, comfortable environment. Both my puppy, Charlie, and I had a great experience with our trainer Judson Brown. When I was about to give up, Judson was encouraging and positive which built my confidence as well as Charlie's. By putting in the work week to week I have a much calmer dog who is learning and growing. We will definitely take advantage of refresher lessons to make sure we are both doing things correctly. If I could give 10 stars I would. Extraordinary people who are pros in training. It was an incredible experience for me and my Zoe. They worked with both of us with patience and answered questions in detail. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for any issues you may have with your 4 legged buddy. After the first day there was a total difference in her. I was just amazed. Thank you to everyone for giving me the tools to truly enjoy Zoe! I will miss you! read more

I had a great experience getting trained to train my dog, Malex. My trainer, Judson Brown did a fantastic job of getting to know me and my Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. The 1st couple of sessions were great basics/e-collar training and after that I was asked what I wanted to work on. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit Dog Training - South Denver the owner, Jon and Judson. Malex and I can't wait to come back for the free refreshers. Thanks guys! read more

Excellent experience! My puppy is 13 months old and in just three sessions she's become far more responsive to basic commands and is less hyper around people (she's a jumper). I can't recommend Sit Means Sit (South Denver) enough. Thank you all!!! read more

We absolutely loved our experience at Sit Means Sit! Our sweet Lucy was struggling in several ways and we saw immediate improvement. She is such a happier and calmer dog since we went through the training program with Jon and his team. We are forever grateful to all of the trainers for providing such a supportive and educational environment for Lucy to thrive. 100% would recommend to anyone with a pup! read more

We had Gina as our primary trainer, with Abel stepping in for our 4th session. I was amazed at the difference with my dog after only 1 session! We had adopted him as a 10 month old rescue from Foothills Animal Shelter after he was returned in less than 24 hours his first time out. He was big, strong, mouthy, jumped up, and cats, squirrels and bunnies sent him straight into the "red zone": barking, pulling, jumping, and completely unresponsive to any commands. Gina exudes calm energy, gave clear corrections, and showed me how to help Sokka be his best doggy self! Abel's session provided a few more pointers and a fresh point of view to make sure I was doing everything possible so the dog could figure out what I wanted him to do as quickly as possible. Highly recommend! read more

Sit Means Sit - I'm so happy to be a "good boy!" Thanks Gina & Abel! - Pet Training Near Me - Littleton, Colorado

Odie is a stubborn dog, let me tell you. After puppy training classes, a different board and train program and multiple DIY trainings, we were scared that we weren't ever going to be able to control him. We decided to give sit means sit a shot. Initially, we were worried that it was a more aggressive approach, but we couldn't be more wrong. It's everything we could have asked for and more. We enrolled Odie in the two week board and train program and it did wonders! Odie came back listening, not nipping, and most importantly a better dog. Unlike other programs, these changes in behavior lasted. He is a well trained dog that still has his goofy personality! It was 100% worth the investment. Now we get compliments everywhere we go! Abel has been amazing working with Odie. He is so calm and you can tell Odie absolutely loves him. He follows up consistently with us to make sure Odie is being the best dog he can. Something other programs failed to do. Thank you so much sit means sit. I honestly think we'd be lost without you. Fellow yelpers, give them a try. I promise they won't disappoint! read more

Lydia & Bud did an amazing job training my 9 month old Lab (and me!) with leash walks, and her listening to me amongst all of the worldly distractions that she tends to focus on. My pup loves these two and I trust Sit Means Sit with my precious little girl. read more

WONDERFUL!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Jon & Abel went above and beyond to ensure my (not so easy) puppy was safe, secure and thriving while in their care. During the 10 immersion program I received consistent updates and photos I saw my little one excelling at every task asked of him. I feel compelled to share my positive experience; a true example of what a wonderful life changing program sit means sits offers. Both my huge (potentially intimidating) dogs are my everything. Both will be able to live healthy successful lives because of their training with SMS I trust SMS south Denver with my babies. It was the best decision I could make and will proudly stand this company as the results speak for themselves. This experience far exceeded our expectations! We bought the (6) 1 hour classes with the dog's lifetime of follow up training. It was worth every penny. The facility is clean. The trainers are SO nice. They really take their time to understand what YOU want to get out of the training. They are super patient with you and make sure you understand how to do the commands. Things that we learned (beyond what we already taught my dog): Sit without getting up, going and staying in a place, how to keep his attention with all kinds of distractions, how to walk with him next to me, how to walk loose without pulling, how to not jump on people, how to greet people while sitting, how to not be afraid of loud noises, how to come on command. My dog's behavior has improved SO much. He is much less reactive on walks when we run into dogs that he doesn't like. He listens off leash. He doesn't run away when we get his harness put on. This was THE BEST investment I could have made for my pup! read more

Love love love Abel at Sit Means Sit!! He seriously changed the way we are raising our pup! She's so well behaved! The cost is sooooo worth it!! I can't say enough! read more

Sit Means Sit - Miss Lola - Pet Training Near Me - Littleton, Colorado

I adopted two 8 month old rescue Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mixes a few months ago. The rescue outfit estimated they had been living on their own for many months based on their poor health and low weight. They recovered very fast, and as their health improved it was clear I needed to get these high energy, hard to control dogs into training. Sit Means Sit was a perfect match. Abel Rodriguez worked wonders! After just a few classes our dogs were obeying basic commands such as sit, place, come, etc. By the end of the training I could walk them off leash. I could never have achieved these results on my own. I know this is a work in progress, and plan to continue with monthly classes. Abel really has a way with dogs, and clearly loves what he does. He not only is skilled with obedience issues but has a wealth of knowledge on behavioral issues. For anyone looking for dog training, I highly recommend Sit Means Sit. Abel gets an A+ in my book! read more

Our little girl Stella was a handful. She is a Corgi/Cattle Dog so all herding dog. Stella is good with humans but her siblings and other dogs, she wanted to lead. She would walk by and snip, bark. We tried time out and medication even a spanking. Nothing was working. Our 2 males would always be very still when she would walk by. Almost like if you avoid eye contact, she'll go away. Now, she listens and follows commands. She understands with or without her collar. She will get a treat here and there but her training reward, is strictly praise. This class really taught her manners/boundaries and to have less anxiety. It was well worth the time and money spent. The staff is really great. They worked with her but with us also. We needed guidance and knowledge to help read more

The only reason for not giving 5 stars is price - but you do get what you pay for!! Our experience with Sit Means Sit has been amazing! When my then 7mo old BHS rescue puppy Bella and I first consulted with Jon I was ready to return her!! I was stressed out, depressed and overwhelmed! Bella even chewed off of her leash while we were talking to Jon! Now, at 9mos (and only four sessions) she has turned into a bearable, trainable pup with lots more to learn, BUT we don't feel anything is out of reach today because of Sit Means Sit! read more

I am so very pleased with the progress my dog and I are making by working with Jon. I was initially concerned that Jon's expertise is focused on larger, athletic dogs, exemplified by his German Shepherd. My dog is a Shih Tzu and as for athleticism -- well, he only has one eye. I was not sure about having my dog wear a collar. Jon had great rapport with my little dog from the very first moment! And he was patient with me too. The collar has worked out fine. My dog became calmer, and I became happier! read more

Abel and Jon have been great to work with! I initially held off on training for a few months because of the cost but now I wish I would have started earlier because I saw a change from day 1. I used to dread taking my big Saint Bernard on walks because he would bark at other dogs and pull but after some lessons with Abel, my dog Apollo is an angel. He meets and greets all sorts of dogs and doesn't react to other dogs anymore. I feel so much more in control and enjoy taking Apollo out to breweries and parks now. Totally recommend this Sit Means Sit location as they have really made me enjoy walking my dog again! read more
