Honestly I have had my dog Maxx from here for about 5 months. He was about $1,800 I believe but he was worth EVERY penny. I do have concerns with the health of the shop because it is VERY dusty in there. Maxx does eat poop and I'm not sure if that's because he was used to it being in a small area with poop. He was a little harder to potty train because he's very used to peeing anywhere. ( I've had four other dogs) He is such an amazing puppy and they did give a first free vet visit. Customer service is great and they give us their phone number if we ever needed help with him. They would message us anytime a new puppy that we wanted came into the store. I am very fortunate that he is very happy and healthy. I was very skeptical at first if he would have any diseases or anything but he's very healthy. I would directly buy from a breeder that's trustworthy next time. Maxx is like my baby so I wouldn't trade him for anything. The store does need higher maintenance. read more

Have gotten two perfect pups from there! No issues at the vet and a very smooth and easy process.

I purchased our Golden Retriever from Perfect Pets in 2024. She had giardia and a cold when we got her. All the vet cost were covered by perfect pets but it took three rounds to clear her up and my other 9 yr old dog got sick in the mix of it. The living conditions for the pups at this store are terrible. The smell is nauseating and there is dust everywhere. read more

I was a first time pet owner. I thought I did my research. 9 news covered them and said they used reputable breeders. I trusted that. I got my little Lucy from this store in 2020. She was three months old. She was from Angie and Casey Schaff of Nebraska land Pets. Lucy had giardia the whole first year of her life. She developed bladder and kidney problems. She passed away at 4.5 years from multiple organ failure. She ate poop as a baby, which I learned meant she was from a puppy mill. I put so much into my little girl. She was a service animal. I spent over 16,000 on her during her short life. This should never have happened. These animals deserve better lives. I am more knowledgeable now. Please check the breeders. Her breeder has 220 breeding pups in 2020. That screams puppy mill! Please do better research than I. Don't trust that this store uses reputable breeders. Do your research! She was on special food. She saw three veterinary specialists. The ultrasound showed she had small organs. Genetic. My vet said her demise was genetic and poor breeding. Which led me to my research. read more

Took the whole family here to look at puppies... walked out with norovirus !! This place is unethical and disgusting. Just plain gross. Puppies covered in their own pee and poo (how I believe we got sick) Some of the dogs are just ugly as all get out, obviously due to poor breeding. Overpriced. Unethical. Profiteering. BEWARE. The dogs here are from puppy mills. We adopted our Golden Retriever from Perfect Pets in 2019. DON'T adopt yours! Sure, they'll provide you with a lineage and charge a premium price tag, but it's all a sham. Our dog is great and makes us very happy, but he has LOTS of health problems and grew 40lbs larger than the lineage they claimed (to 105lbs!). For reference, the average golden is 65-75lbs. Adopt from here and accept the moral burden that you're supporting the poor breeding practices of puppy mills and the long-term health issues you'll end up paying for. read more

First time in, last time in. I was in the area so went in to get my rescue dog some things. I didn't expected to see the large amount of "breeder" puppies, as the employee explained they use the same breeders in nearby states. Everything was covered in dust. The products, the cases. I am not a person who writes reviews very, but I really have to thank and appreciate Mr. Jens for his dedication. My sister got a puppy as a gift for her 21st birthday. She and her friend came here and picked out her first puppy. I was quite surprised when I saw the puppy she brought home. Instead of the golden puppy she had always wanted, she picked out a corgi. My sister was there with the puppy the first day it came home. However, the next day, the puppy threw up and refused to eat. This was her first time taking care of a puppy. It is hard to describe the scene of her crying and calling me, but I asked her to call the store. She immediately called and brought the puppy back to the store, and met Jens. Jens reassured and assured my sister that he would take care of the puppy and make sure it was healthy. With more than 30 years of experience, he used his reputation to guarantee and was ready to take responsibility for any situation that occurred. The dog stayed at the shop for about a week and every day Jens or the staff sent videos to my sister about the dog. When she brought the dog back home, she changed the dog's name from Dream to Lisa because she thought that the name might not be suitable. Since then, Lisa has not had any minor illnesses and has become more intelligent and a bit mischievous as she grows up. After almost 3 years, I really can see a reflection of my sister in Lisa. At the same time, my sister has also matured and become more patient through the process of taking care of Lisa. I was looking for a York's mix , I started in May 2024. Perfect Pets had a Morkie, she is 5 months old and was priced at $1899, I was told if I really liked her I could possibly get her for $1399. She was purchased and taken back to the store. I would have taken her if she went below $1000. I visited the store and did not get a good feel for the prices of puppies that were 5 months old ,still in a enclosed area and not potty trained. The store had a awful odor. I kept looking and found a Yochon, she was 4 months old, priced at $699. She had not been out if a crate, not potty trained, she was wobbly on het feet from not walking. Perfect Pets had (has) Yochon born on the same date ,priced at $1699 at the time I purchased mine. I am sure they are siblings. What amazes me is why would anyone cage up a puppy for over 6 months, people love to look and puckup, not slot of people that will purchase for the amounts advertised. Especially, being caged up for so long. Its difficult to train a puppy that has not been outside. read more

It is hard to ignore the curiosity of where these animals came from or the exact treatment they receive or their health conditions.. I haven't done any research or thorough investigation on where these animals come from or what treatment they receive so I will not assume anything, even though I have read some of these reviews posted. Sometimes the dogs will have dry noses or smell a little off probably due to infection or being sick! I agree with previous reviews that the manager is condescending and rude to employees. I bought a darling puppy from here, for that I have no regrets because he has the sweetest temperament. However, there are too many dogs in this store, crowded into pens. My pup had gerardia, possibly worms (yet to be confirmed until the gerardia clears up) & ear mites. There is no way a Vet can make these determinations in the 5 day window allowed, to have the puppy examined by their preferred veterinarians. I would never again, purchase a pet who lived in these conditions prior to Rescue. I call it a rescue, because in my humble opinion, that is exactly what I did. Two years later and I couldn't be happier with my dog. I've read some more reviews out of boredom, and thank goodness my pup doesn't have a disease or sickness. He is 3 years old now, we in summit county, and do just about everything together. I'm honestly thankful he turned out to be a bigger dog (50 lbs) to tour in the winter and backpack in the summer. Every month, I go to a pet store similar to perfect pets to check out the conditions and keep myself educated. I have never seen so many puppies in one singular store. This is not a good sign. Perfect pets gets their puppies from Nebraskaland Pets, which is one of the largest puppy mill/dog brokers in the country. Angie and Casey Schaff run this kennel, and at the time of their last inspection they had 212 adult breeding dogs and 132 puppies. These breeder dogs are used for all they are worth and not given the life a dog deserves. There is no possible way these 212 breeder dogs are loved and cared for the way a responsible breeder would. If you are considering a doodle or similar breed, go meet the breeder in person. Responsible breeders usually only have a few litters a year and breed only ONE type of dog. Better yet, adopt! Me and my friends went one day the dogs are all in small cages have no room they have pee and poop all over them. and one of us volunteered there and he got cut by a needle trying to clean them we were told we would just clean cages fill water and food but they had us do the opposite and the most dangerous jobs like cleaning needles and its hard not to get cut by the needle he got sick and then we were told the puppies were from the largest mill in the country if your kid wants to volunteer please say no the workers also don't help at all with cleaning or helping guests and the puppies don't get help when they are attack by other dogs we saw three dogs attacking one poor dog we would not recommend buying dogs here. read more

We got our beautiful little Yorkiepoo from Perfect Pets on 4-26-22. We were very impressed with the condition of the store and the selection of beautiful healthy puppies. These people really do care about the animals in their care. Jens and Rose are wonderful people. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. Even if we had not purchased this puppy, I still would give them high marks. 2 days after we got this puppy we took her to our vet. We live 6 hours away from Perfect Pets so we did not use the veterinarians they suggest. Our veterinarian found this puppy to be in excellent health. Folks, when you read the bad reviews you see on yelp in regards to Perfect Pets, please understand that there are a LOT of people out there that tell terrible lies about any and all pet stores that sell animals. These people are offended by anyone who would buy any animal from a pet store instead of going to a shelter. False rhetoric that gets repeated by people who may or may not have even been to Perfect Pets. You got to realize that there are people with this pre-conceived negative notion and it does not matter what they see. There is a place for activists, I am glad they exist. BUT, it does not make them right. Give people a free pass to say whatever negative crap they want without any repercussions and all too often they will jump to it. Use your own brain, your own eyes, and common sense. Go in and talk to these people. See for yourselves. Rose is a very impressive and engaging person who you cannot help but to like. I honestly don't even know where to start with this place. The service is terrible. The employees are short with every guest, and are often rude. If you look young at this store, they'll throw you out. If you pick up a puppy for a few minutes, they'll hold your ID at the front of the store. The puppies are sweet and deserve much better treatment than what they receive here. Their cages are often neglected and smell awful for long periods of time. If you do fall in love with a puppy, be prepared to spend 5-10K on it. And trust me, you'll have to pay that much in vet fees afterwards because they all come from a puppy mill in Nebraska. You're gambling a whole lot of money by buying a pet here, since they're all either inbred or chronically sick and you'll notice it when it's too late. But honestly, what prompted me to write this review was one specific employee. I didn't catch her name, but she had long dark hair and a scowl that looked like it had been burned onto her face. First, she harassed my friend to show an ID in order to pick up a puppy, due to some recent apparent thefts. My friend offered her virtual ID because she left her wallet at home, and the employee treated her like a criminal for not having her physical ID out and ready at a pet store. Then, this woman approaches me after I've already held this puppy, taken him into the playpen, and was about to put him back. I was honestly considering making some phone calls to purchase him. She demands to see my ID and I say "sure, but honestly the way you've been approaching me and mg friend is more likely to scare customers away than protect your puppies." She looks me dead in the eye and responds "I don't really care what you think, we've had thefts recently" and walks away with my ID in hand and holds it at the register. What was odd about this wasn't that she wanted to protect the store against theft, but that she only asked for mine and my friend's IDs in a store with 10 customers inside. Profiling your customers doesn't prevent theft, it only leaves a bad taste in your customers' mouths. Either ask for IDs at the door or give up the effort all together. But, either way, that's a really strange policy for a store that doesn't sell drugs or alcohol. The last thing I'll add is that I've been coming here to cheer myself up and consider different breeds since I was a kid--they were located in the Southwest Plaza Mall then. I'm very sad to say my last visit to this store, and probably any like it, was today. Get better employees or shut down. You obviously aren't making any sales with service like this and prices like you advertise. The entire entrance is covered in pictures of security camera footage of people stealing puppies. If that doesn't drive you away, the rude employees will. read more

Horrible. Don't go, the dogs are man handled and we saw a dead hamster in the trash. It was traumatizing and I've seen they way some dogs are treated. These pets are treated horribly they keep them in small cages and the building is full of dust! The amount of dust is not only unhealthy to breathe in for people or the pets but it is a fire hazard. I don't blame the workers for this as they seem to work hard and be constantly paying attention. I blame whoever manages it overlooking sick dogs and being a commander towards the staff. A bald man was there and yelled at the dogs to stop barking while he was on the phone as well as belittling the staff which gives the vibe that he doesn't care not only about his staff but the animals. Health inspectors really need to check this place out and that man needs a serious attitude change towards his staff. Other than that the other employees were great! I came in here one week after quarantine started and fell in love with the cutest female mini Goldendoodle. I put down my deposit and came back a week later to pay the balance and take her home. Rose was super sweet to my new puppy and I. Luckily, I didn't do my research before buying my puppy because I would've discovered they used a puppy mill DBA Nebraskaland Pets Inc. I was told she came from a small breeder, but that is not the case. She had three parasites in her fecal exam that the pet store paid to treat but otherwise she has had no health problems. My puppy is absolutely perfect and I wouldn't trade her for the world. It just breaks my heart to imagine what kind of conditions she lived in the first eight weeks of her life. read more

I have been taking my dogs there for 2 years. She has always done a great job until the last 6 months or so. My older shitzu's ears kept getting thinner and thinner. The younger one was fine, with long flowing hair. I told her specifically NOT to cut their heads this time. I didn't want to tell her I have been unhappy with the recent cuts, just figured if she didn't cut their heads and ears at all, the ears would get thicker. She did the OPPOSITE. Cut both of their heads short and choppy. Including my Imperial who is supposed to be long and flowing. Then when I told her I was not happy and that she did it wrong, she made no effort to rectify it with me, didn't seem the least bit concerned. Since I got him I've brought two of my co workers in to get their puppies. (Auggie and Goldendoodle) We are all very happy with our 3 pups and would definitely recommend this place. Too many anti-pet store people are able to post reviews implying a connection to puppy mills, without even setting foot in the store or doing any legitimate fact checking. Rose and Jens are awesome people who truly love and care for all of the animals they have in the shop. The knowledge off the top of their heads is great. I found Jens to be very funny and approachable and Rose was a ball of energy. I have never spent so much time laughing and having a great time while looking for and purchasing a beautiful well taken care of puppy.
