The Shocking Price and Service Integrity Issues The quality of the work does not justify the final price, which we believe was a serious overcharge and took advantage of our vulnerable situation as non-locals who were clearly stressed. Service Price Paid Basic Work Performed My Service $250 Soft Gel Full Cover Tips + Basic Nail Art (chrome/striping) + Basic Pedicure (no spa additions). Mom's Service $175 Hard Gel Fill + Basic Nail Art (on 1-2 fingers) + Basic Pedicure (regular polish, no jelly/hot stone/soaks). The itemized charges on the screen included terms like "Level 2 Nail Art" to justify the excessive cost for what was genuinely basic, common nail art. Red Flags During Checkout The end of the service raised serious concerns about their business practices: System "Failure": The salon's card systems were suddenly "down," and we were asked to Zelle the total payment. This felt suspicious and unprofessional, especially in a tourist area. Lack of Trust: We overheard staff making comments to each other, such as, "They're leaving right after this," displaying a clear distrust of us as customers. I had openly explained our circumstances and even shared a past negative experience where I was scammed by another salon's over-inflated pricing/tipping practices. Conclusion After returning home and consulting with multiple professional nail technicians nationwide, it is clear that my mother and I were grossly overcharged. While I understand prices vary, this felt like an intentional exploitation of non-local customers who were not in the mental state to contest high prices. We paid immediately to avoid any conflict, but the feeling of being taken advantage of is incredibly disappointing. If you are looking to be seriously overcharged for basic nail services, this is the place to go. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this salon.
