***MAKE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE*** Don't go by those negative reviews. I can see why some reviewers say the owners wife is rude but I have also witnessed really rude customers. I just moved up to the Chester area and I needed to find a good nail salon close to home. After a horrible experience at the nail salon across the street I decided to walk in and see what they had to offer. Lily was very nice and helped me with my crying baby. She was patient and when she saw how worried I was about the baby crying she told me not to worry. I was concerned about messing up other customers relaxation time. My nails came out nice considering how many times I had to pull my nails out of the UV light to attend to the baby. I saw someone say that the fumes are strong but they do airbrush designs which is the main reason why it's so strong. It didn't bother me though. The prices are decent and way more affordable than that horrible place across the street. Oh by the way, I told lily about my horrible experience at that place and not once did she bad mouth them. That's professionalism to me. I haven't had my nails done by anyone else there but I heard from my mother in law that the other owner is also really good. I don't know his name. read more

I was a regular there for about 2 yrs because of convenience. Lilly, the owner, usually did my nails. She did a good job and was nice but nothing more. And if she did a little extra it was expensive (Please note that, I usually did my nails in the city when I worked there so I know what expensive is.) and not worth the cost so I kept it simple. I will say her husband Henry did a better job than her on nails. I ended up with him when Lily couldn't schedule me. I would not necessarily call them rude because they weren't to me. However, they are not a cheerful couple nor do they go out of their way to make a client happy or to have a cheery business. I stopped going because I started noticing that Lily charged me more on the days that there seemed to fewer customers in the salon. The 1st time it happened I didn't say anything because I noticed it when I got home after chking my change against what she actually did. However, the 2nd time it happened I asked her to explain the over chargers or why my routine stuff was costing more money (which amounted to about $10.00 more) and that's when her "English" went "bad" and she could not understand. What BS! I never expected her to try to get over on me even for a few dollars! Me a long time client & a good client. But because I'm a woman of principle, there is only one oppty to mess up and she did it. If you decide to try them ask them for the prices of services a head of time and have then explain charges in detail afterwards when you get the receipt. But I'm not going back! read more

I used to like this nail salon a lot until recently for several reasons. I've been coming here with friends for years prior to these instances that started happening in August 2018. My mother, sister and I each got pedicures and my mom also got a manicure, my mom went to pay and Lily charged her $100.00 for everything. Usually when I go by myself a pedicure is $20-25 and a regular manicure is max $20 and for whatever reason that day 3 $20 pedicures and 1 manicure is $100.00.. it should've been $80 and that's if the plain regular manicure was $20.00. Also, during the pedicure the water got so hot I had to take my feet out because she forgot to turn off the hot water. I continued to return, my next visit I had a 5:00 appointment for a gel fill with Henry and I didn't get in the chair till 5:45.. I waited 45 minutes with an appointment I made a week in advance. I still returned after that, I made another appointment at 5:15 for a fill with Henry and there was another customer in the chair which is fine I don't mind waiting 20 minutes or so, I understand it takes time and some people don't know what they want. But when I walked in I told them I had an appointment at 5:15 Lily looked really confused and she ran to the book and then spoke to Henry and all of a sudden the Women that was in the chair got up and sat down in the waiting area and Henry called me over. He did my nails super fast, no joke 38 minutes exactly (I know that because I made a call right before I got into the chair) and when I was leaving Henry called the other women back over to his chair. Turns out, they took another customer forgetting I was coming in with an appointment and when I came in they made her go back to the waiting room and my nails were completely rushed. I went there with a broken nail, he usually fixes them, that particular time he just put gel over it and in less then 24 hours later the same crack came back. Also, when I picked a color I picked a purple and there were a few other ones next to it I specifically pointed out which color I wanted, then when he started painting them it was the other purple color next to it, I didn't say anything because I don't want to be annoying and I get my nails done so often it doesn't even matter Looking at my nails there all different shapes and sizes and my nail is now completely broken after 4 days of a fill. Perfect nails would have been a close place for me to go to except they don't know how to do nails. First the wait was very long for a manicure. Anything more than a 30 min waiting I usually leave. From the time on the sofa to the time I got into the chair was exactly 23 mins. Also when you first walk in the smell of nail polish hits you so hard you get an instance headache. They need to vent the place better. Now to the Nail Tech. Let's just say after a manicure I shouldn't have dust particles under the nail polish. Very uneven color and missed a lot of spot. So unfortunately that will be a first and last time I ever go there. read more

Got a manicure pedicure and as they're drying I notice my nails are bumpy- I brought it to the manicurists attention and he said "it's because the polish you picked" ludicrous. Horrible customer service! We go to nail salons for self care and relaxation especially during the chaos of COVID-19. As per CDC guidelines all nail salons are to disinfect manicure and pedicure utensils, and tables, chairs, bowls and baths after each customer. This did not happen! We wiped down our own stuff. Other customers had to ask for a clean down of everything. Needless to say this is unacceptable. The irony of Perfect Nails--unfriendly staff and disregarded guidelines is not perfect. I'm usually not a critical person, however, when something has to be said, then it has to be said. I usually look at yelp before going somewhere for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to read the reviews, wish I had! First hint---is a Saturday morning and usually nail salons are full especially on a busy thoroughfare. But there was only one car in the lot, I'm like maybe they just opened. Ok I went in and a nice man opened the door and said they were opened. A woman by the name of "Lilly" took care of me. I needed a pedicure and to fix a chipped nail. Hint number 2 I asked her to fixed the one chipped nail. She started to just paint over it and not cut, file or put powder so it would be even. I'm like please even it out. Of course she did after telling her I want it even!! Maybe something was lost in translation. Gave the benefit of the doubt. Lastly, hint number 3---my pedicure. Mind you I usually get my feet done q2 weeks so my feet are in good shape. When she used that loofa, it was as if she was sanding down a horses shoe! I pulled my foot and almost pushed it against her chest on reflex because of the pain! immediately plunged it down the water. Looked at her and told her if she's having a bad day!!! I was not soft spoken because of the the incident prior. She was shocked and didn't know what to say. Told her to just paint my nails which she did it gently and professionally the way I had expected!! In reading most of the comments on Yelp, I concurred she is rude! I work too hard during the week to be treated by a woman who looks like she's angry at the world and picks and chooses who she is nice with. I'm a woman originally from the Bronx, educated with a PhD, and for sure you will not be disrespectful. Trust me she WAS going to do a good job on my feet! I usually go to Daisy's Nails in Warwick who are awesome but needed something quick near my home before driving out of state that morning. Never again. And folks please don't tolerate rudeness, I'm sure you guys want a relaxing pedi after a hard week, where you don't feel like punching out your nail technician- just saying Gave her a one because she did a good job polishing my toes and she has cute children. God awful. My sister and I had appointments at 6:30 for manis and pedis. I didn't even get started until 7:10. My feet were soaking the the water for 40 mins. My sister and I went to Perfect Nail Salon. We asked the price of a mani/pedi. Once the "technician" completed my sisters terrible mani/pedi we were told the price was more because she had to remove the gel. As soon as my sister pointed out that she asked for the price upfront, they changed their tone and gave her a cheaper price. We were then told that we did not have to come back ever - not sure whom the nasty person was, but rest assured; we will never return. read more

This place gets a solid 3 stars. It was okay. I only got a polish change on my toes an after they were dry, a few toes had bubbles in them so they got fixed and I went on my way. However, I get my nails done every two weeks religiously, fumes in a nail salon don't bother me. For whatever reason these fumes were so strong I couldn't wait to leave. After a while of walking into a nail salon the smell goes away but this was sickening the entire time...strange. Probably wit go back on purpose but I know it's here if I need it. read more

I'm sorry to write this negative review but I am No longer going to this place which I've been going for a few years already, I am deeply disappointed with them because I was a very loyal & generous tipper for years & what they pulled with me on February 11, 2019 was really not right at all! First of all I had my nails done by Henry prior & he cut me pretty badly on the side of my pinky nail just from filing it! I still payed & tipped him as a fair person that I am but I really shouldn't have. I went back to get them done again and I was with lily this time, she sanded off the old gel color & all of a sudden stops to tell me that she can't do the rest of the job on me because some lady walks in there 15 minutes AFTER I was there already and tells me she needs to tend to her! I looked at her in disbelief & tried to be patient so she then tells me to come back in an hour. I went back at 5 or 6 O'clock & still had me waiting there after what she pulled with me earlier! My nails were incomplete sanded down to the bare nail and in serious need to be finished but she (lily) just didn't care & just left me waiting to the side! Not nice at all after being a loyal & generous customer for years, considering I don't have that kind of money to keep up with but was always patronizing & fair to these people who operate this salon! I am done with this place & being treated like a sucker! It was very RUDE what they pulled with me & I highly DON'T recommend this place at all! This place has the rudest owners, Lilly and Henry. Last time Lilly did my nails and she used a cheap top coat and it looked awful. Today Henry did my nails and sat a foot back from his station so I had to lean all the way across and he kept pulling my arm and twisting my hand. I told him to stop and he told me to move closer; I couldn't feasibly be closer. Horrible experience every time. Won't go there again. read more

Henry the owner may do good nails ,but is very rude and inconsiderate of his clients. He has you wait up to 40 minutes even with an appointment and then when he calls you he very often leaves to have a cigarette or talk on the phone ,without even saying he's sorry or excuse me . The other girls in the shop give awful pedicures and you better be prepared to redo the polish when you get home !! His wife is nice but forgets to write in appointments she take and leaves her clients with no explanation or apology to take care of their children who run all over the place, and take over the couch ,meant for clients . I've always gone here even when the original owners were here as their partnership. The only issue I have and many other customers have is how rude the owner Henry and his wife are. His wife lily is a completely miserable person who always talks negatively about the customers in Vietnamese. She should and so should her husband, be more respectful and more professional considering they need customers in order to keep their business running. Kim is the best nail tech besides Henry. This nail salon has terrible customer service because of the owner Henry and his wife Lily. I continuously come here because Kim has great customer and she does my nails perfect every time. The wife is constantly rude to customers, she can barely speak English but yet knows exactly how to be nasty to their clients. She makes a joke when someone is upset about the way their nails toes or eyebrows came out. Henry does not do anything to help the situation. They really need to step up their customer service and Lily needs to leave. He can hire someone else who does nails and eyebrows WAY better to take her place.
