During the mani pedi they use hot stones to massage as well, this was a first time experience for me. They also didnt try to upsell me on add on items which was appreciated. I was dragged here the other week by my girlfriend who convinced me that pedicures are not only for women. The ladies here are really attentive and accommodating. Vivian (I think she's the owner) let us sing a duet on their karaoke machine--which was just distracting enough to not be weirded out by someone touching my feet. Great atmosphere, great service. The girlfriend says it definitely has a more friendly vibe than some of the other nail salons she's been to in the OC area. I don't know much about pedicures, but I felt really relaxed and the gf was really happy with her nails too. An average and no frills nail salon. I came here with a group of 6 for a friends Bachlorette Party. Even though we had made an appointment awhile in advance to forewarn them about the size of the group. They seemed to neglect writing down the appointment time for all of us and only had about three staff members working at the time we walked in (two more staff later arrived about 30-45 minutes after we arrived at our 10am appointment). Because of this, we were at the salon close to two hours, which isn't bad, but it could have been prevented. For $35 I got a no frills manicure and pedicure and had my callus' removed. I love the fact that the price here is so cheap, but you get what you pay for. For a $20 pedicure, I got a quick 30 second massage on each leg, my callus' removed, my toes worked on and a nice polish put on them. For my $15 manicure, I got a skimpy 15 second massage on each arm and a quick nail trim and polish. The lady that did my manicure and pedicure did a great job on painting my nails (they're so pretty now!) and she was very friendly and nice. Overall, I got what I paid for at this nail salon. I guess I'm just used to paying ~$50-60 for a mani/pedi and getting a longer massage for my arms and legs (which is what I really crave when I come to get my nails done) and just have an hour long relaxation time just for me. On a random side note, this place has karaoke that you can sing with while you get pampered. Such a random touch, but it seems to fit with the whole theme of this off the wall salon. Overall, this isn't somewhere I'd go regularly, but I'll be back when I need my nails to look pretty and want to make my wallet happy too. Happy nail going! read more

I live in Los Angeles and was only in Irvine to run an errand and decided to get my nails done while I was here. I quickly yelped nail salons in the area and found this place. As soon as I walked in I didnt know what to expect, especially just walking into a nail salon its always a hit or miss, but I guess I lucked out since this salon was absolutely amazing. I wished they were located in LA just so I can keep going back. They gave the best massages and took their time and I didnt want my mani-pedi to end. I was actually sad when it was over because it was such a relaxing experience. My nails looked great and my manicure actually lasted for over a week, which is unusual for regular polish. Since moving from Irvine to Lake Forest, I couldn't justify driving 20 minutes north to go to my normal salon in Tustin. After doing some research on Yelp, I decided to give Perfect Nails a try. I was super torn between giving them 3 or 4 stars. The decor is really outdated, and I wouldn't say it's particularly nice inside, but it's clean. For $25 I got a full set which is the best I've found anywhere (I expected to spend $45). My nail technician was Kevin, he wasn't friendly or unfriendly, he was straight to the point and did everything in an hour. He did a great job and my nails came out exactly how I wanted. As other reviewers have described, it is definitely no frills. They don't try to upsell you, but they also are not chatty or particularly friendly. You won't get the "all about you" treatment like more upscale salons. I'll probably go back because it's literally down the street from my house and the price is amazing...I just wish they'd update the atmosphere so it didn't feel so dull. Highly recommend if you just want a salon that's straight to the point and really inexpensive! read more

I was in desperate need of a pedi so on my lunch I strolled down to Perfect Nails wishing for just that. "Susan" was my pedicurist. I use the parenthesis because, well I think you know why. Well, "Susan" was actually very sweet. Wasn't too chatty which I liked and was very attentive and detailed. I had told her that my lunch was over at 1:30 and she reassured me at 1:20 that we'd be done in time. Well at 1:50 I started to sweat. I get that she was really into creating her design but if I knew it was going to take 30 minutes just for her paint them I would have passed. Especially since her design was not one I picked and something I'm not crazy about. When I tell her I gotta go after she's finally done, she then realizes that my lunch was over at 1:30 and claims that she forgets. She rushes to get my bill, put my sandals back on, etc. No harm, no foul. Susan was sweet regardless. I'm happy with my toes, don't get me wrong. But I'm not ecstatic. And for $30 +tip, I don't know... I might have to pass. I'm a $20 pedicure kind of girl. Sure they did more like slide a rock up and down my feet and calves but that's not $10 worthy to me. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in OC! The ladies there are absolutely the sweetest I've met at a nail salon! I casually came in around 7 PM asking if they are still open. They stayed open just for me! And my pedicure took about 45 minutes. I couldn't believe how gracious they were in taking me in. A lot of people turn late comers down. But she took her time and gave me the best pedicure, including a hot stone massage on my legs and feet. She was really helpful in helping me pick out a color, explaining which colors were less sheer and brighter. It's even decorated really well, with fun dressing room signs and pretty colors everywhere. They have a large flat screen TV for your enjoyment. I highly recommend it! read more

Good place to go for a no-frills mani or pedi if you're not too big on the fancy pampering or top notch service. Can't complain about the prices at all but the place could use a tune-up. $20 for a regular pedi $12 for a regular mani $28 for a gel manicure (the kind that lasts a loong time) Came for a pedi with my mom, who got a gel manicure. I burned my foot placing it in the WAYY over-heated foot soak and almost jumped out of the tub. The lady who did my toes wasn't much of a talker. She communicated via grunting the whole time and gruffly jerked my feet wherever she wanted them. However, the work on my toes were solid. She paid a lot of attention to getting the margins and edges flush and even got in a 1 minute foot massage/rub per foot. There seemed to be a lot of nail color choices, but a lot of them looked sorta old and settled on the bottom. As long as you pick a color and shake it up...it'll look good as semi-new! One thing that got on my nerves though. Had 2 magazines on my arm rest and was reading one. A new customer came in and sat down. A pedicurist came over and asked me if I was done with the magazine. I hesitated but said yes, and instead of replacing it with another magazine, she just took it can gave it to the new customer even though there was a HUUGE stack of magazines no one was reading on the side. -_- What the crap. Mom's gel manicure apparently was done old school style. Instead of using the chemical drops that are gentle on your hands/skin/nails, they still use an alcohol soak, which are harsher for you overall. read more

I was recommended by my hair salon to check them out after my hair appt. I just wanted a spa pedicure so off I went since I was already in the area. $30 for a 10 min. paint job. I'm not even going to really blame this one the lady that did my pedicure, but the establishment itself. Why? It's because they had no dryer! As soon as the 2nd coat was applied, the lady put my flip flops back on then applied the top coat. Seemingly the process is to just have you leave right after. NO. That's not how a good nail shop works, fancy or not. With that, my toe quickly got smeared within steps of me walking out. I walked back in to get it fixed, and they manually attached a mini fan to a cart to have it point at my toes. WHAAT??? I couldn't believe my eyes! They clipped it to a cart and I had to raise my toes so it could be close to the fan. Smh. This obviously has never been a procedure to ensure their clients nails were dry before having them leave. The place was not at all busy and if it was, still this last step is a must which I had to even ask for and only got a reaction afterwards with the manager. My cuticles weren't clipped to the best, either. It just felt like a pedicure that I could of gotten done cheaper somewhere else, minus the spa chair. Needless to say, I won't be coming back or recommend this place. *added. Just saw mani/pedi is $30. I could of gotten a full mani / pedi for the same price?!! 1 star it is!! read more

BEST Pedicure I've ever had! I upgraded to a deluxe pedicure (because treat yo self!), and didn't regret it even if it cost a little more. Peach exfoliating scrub, cooling mint mask on my calves and toes, callus removing cream, extra massage, and finishing off with a hot stone massage. All in a massage chair. So far, so good. I got a mani/pedi at this place exactly a week ago and I am happy to report that my nails are still looking to be in decent shape. The shine and lustre is diminished, which is to be expected at this point. But so far, no chipping or polish cracking off! And I have not been easy on my hands this week (unfortunately, we don't have a dishwasher! oh my!). They carry OPI and Essie polishes AND they do not appear to be diluting the polishes. (You mani/pedi veterans out there know what I speak of.) The facilities are clean. They definitely have the karaoke and Celine Dion on blast at this place. It is pretty hilarious. Karaoke and nail salon = genius. (No, I'm not being ironic.) The nail work, seems to be holding up. There was no skimping on top coat or nail cleanup. The gal was super friendly. It was my first time in this place and the gal seemed to be taking a genuine interest in trying to remember my name and getting to know me a bit in hopes of converting me into a regular. And they definitely seem to have a loyal following i.e., being on a 1st name basis with lots of folks, a couple people only wanting to be serviced by a particular person, etc. The prices are fair for south OC. I paid $30 w/o tip for a basic mani/pedi. (I still cannot get over that I can find similar levels of service and quality in LA for $10-15 less...seriously mind-boggling....how do these OC ladies maintain themselves at these prices?!?) Pros: Durable nail work. Fair price. Friendly service. Good polish color selection (NOT heavily dominated by crazy-ass neon green!). OPI and Essie (the standards). Cons: They are a bit crowded during lunch and Fridays (best to make an appointment). I know the Karaoke is entertaining but as a potential regular, I can see that sometimes it might be nice to see some tv programming or a movie instead of the karaoke and singing. read more
