First off, I really hate to leave a bad review and I've been going back and forth to even leave…read morethis review but my nails are still super messed up from getting a gel manicure almost 2 months ago here. I used to frequent this place a couple years ago and then I found another nail place in the area that I love. But I decided to come back and give this spot another chance and unfortunately I had a bad experience. Instead of soaking off my previous gel manicure, the technician used the machine to scrap it off. My nails underneath burned as she did this and now that all the gel is off, I can see that a layer of my nail was removed in the process. Because of this, my nails are really messed up. They are brittle, breaking, and hurting. I usually get gel done every 3 weeks and I haven't been in a long time to get another manicure because my nails are so brittle and keep breaking from the manicure I got at this salon. I also went with my sister and she is having the same experience after we went here. It is unfortunate because the salon is lovely inside but I won't be back again.

When that was finished I was given over for my gel manicure to Anita who is also fantastic! She is very talented and while there was a little burning it was minimal and she resolved it quickly! Super sweet young ladies. Very professional and wonderful work. I highly recommend you check this place out! The prices are great too. Especially for all I had done!!! DESIREE IS A TRUE ARTIST!…read more This was my first time at the salon and I have to say that I'm now a fan! I saw Desiree for a full set (gel x) and a pedi. She is gentle, detailed and a true artist! I was lucky enough to sit next to her other client who had a beach themed set of nails that was so creative and fun! Desiree made me feel comfortable and right at home with her kindness and hospitality. She even made me a special tea with orange peels and honey. I love my pedi and my mani is totally unique and beautiful. She spent time doing nail art in cat eye paint and then put a chrome over it. The effect is very subtle and unusual in a good way. I'll definitely be back and will tell friends about this salon right next door to Sherman Oaks (fraction of the price) and Latina owned too! :)) This is exactly the type of small business I want to support. They're doing excellent work and it's family owned and operated, which feels warm and friendly, not stiff and corporate.

Today is September 25, and I now have five nails lifting, one completely off, and only nine nails still on. I was charged $145 plus tip, which I was happy to pay if the work matched the price -- but it absolutely did not. The shaping was off, the French square nails I asked for looked more like duck nails, and the nail art I specifically requested was not done correctly. I was already unhappy with how they looked, and the quality has proven even worse. On top of that, when I came in to get my thumbnails fixed, they told me to come in at 3:30. When I arrived, the tech asked me to wait until 5:00 instead. I declined, and she rushed through fixing my nails -- leaving gel underneath, crooked thumbnails, and nails that are already lifting again. This is highly unacceptable, especially at this price point. The service was unprofessional, the work was sloppy, and the nails did not last at all. I will never return and cannot recommend this salon.
