I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a bagel. For $8 I received one egg, one sausage patty. The egg was over cooked. And the sandwich was just lack luster and no love for it. Also pictured is grits that came out cold. Our waitress did not come back until it was time to drop the check. I mentioned to her that the grits came out cold and there they sat. She said she would take the $3 off. But the cold grits was not the issue. Issue was the sandwich was not made with pride and so I got what I got. read more

Located on Pine Island Rd in Matlacha, this wonderful places was worth the 2hrs and 45 mins drive from Tampa! The vibes and the energy once we stepped in were refreshing! Somehow all the staff had big smiles on their faces and they were chatty about any questions or the history of the place. I went to the self-serving coffee corner. Mmmm - fresh coffee pots and a bowl of each coffee for a sniff-test in front of them! I got the chocolate-cinnamon-hazelnut one with almond milk. It was a taste buds celebration! Service was excellent and we even had a local youngster helping the busy staff with incredible amount of knowledge, confidence & professionalism! She was simply adorable! The food was just as excellent as everything else there... The eggs Benedict with salmon were delicious and the Hollandaise sauce was out of this world! Each bite melted in my mouth accompanied by home-style oven potatoes baked to perfection. The French toast didn't disappoint and was the perfect combination of sweet and juicy. The Cajun skillet offered amazingly tasting combo of eggs, sausage, blackened shrimp, tomatoes, bell peppers and cheddar. This place has the perfect name. Perfect Cup does serve the perfect cup of coffee. As you enter the restaurant the aroma of fragrant fresh ground beans hits you. I ordered an iced latte without any additions. . The coffee had the richest deep flavor with just a hint of chocolate. Besides coffee, Perfect Cup has a full breakfast and lunch menu. There were three Benedict's on the menu, Traditional with Bacon, Spinach, and Crab. There of us opted for the Crab Benedict and were not disappointed. The eggs were huge and perfectly poached. There was a nice amount of lump crab meat along with the Hollandaise sauce. 15 year old enjoyed his waffles and sausage. From the outside Perfect Cup looks like a tiny hole in the wall coffee shop. Looks can be deceiving. Inside it has two nice size rooms to accommodate customers The place must not be a secret as it was pretty full. Service was so friendly. Our sever gave us great suggestions. We ate here several times while we were staying in Matlacha. Their coffee is excellent - top of the line. And so many flavors!! Their breakfasts are hot and fresh. The omelets are amazing. Everything we ever had was so, so good. One time we had lunch. The patty melt was incredible. Their potatoes are crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Wow, a super adorable stop on a very cute island. The big draw here is the coffee. They brew their own and it's so good! They also have dairy free milks for whatever kind of latte you're interested in. I tried the 2, 2, 2 meal which came with French toast, bacon, and eggs and was very happy with my meal, though it was a little greasy for my taste. Others in the group tried the pancakes and omelets which they enjoyed too. It can get busy and parking can be tough to find, so I'd recommend going early. read more

I came here with no expectations however, I was reasonably impressed with the food and service. The self service coffee bar was nice, so you don't have the servers walking around topping up everyone's cups. My toddler was kept busy with the crayons and drawing paper supplied by the server, a great surprise this was because he loves colors and colors :) The venue was quite busy during breakfast. The food here is good. Breakfast and lunch only offered. I was a regular customer and ate here whenever I wanted a real breakfast. However the management here are Covid deniers, and even during the raging pandemic, the staff would not mask. Most of their customers seemed to agree with that position as well. This is a beach cafe, with great coffee and great food. We ate there three times within a week and really enjoyed breakfast. Their corned beef hash is delicious and their eggs were cooked perfectly. They get very busy so it's best to get there early. read more

What a great breakfast! Great omelet with sausage and jack cheese, house potatoes and sour dough bread. I usually don't like "fluffy" omelets they're to airy but this was just right. Kinda in between flat & fluffy. A large portion, more than I could eat and I'm a big eater!
