It took a bit before my waitress was able to get to my table but when she got to me, she was super personable and helpful with my order. I ordered their Barbacoa Beef Tacos with a side of black beans and a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered 4 drinks: coffee, water, orange juice, and their Morning Meditation drink. I wanted to have brunch here as soon as I saw their new seasonal menu. The berry lavender french toast was so good. I can't get enough of the lavender whipped cream. It is definitely my new favorite. We came to this location a few times. The staff is always friendly. Since this is the only location in Cape Coral, it can get busy during the prime time. First time at this First Watch and we were pleasantly surprised by the service, cleanliness and decor. The coffee was extra delish and the water comes to the table in a small decanter. I had the smoked salmon frittata with a side of home made breakfast potatoes. It was very good and filled with salmon and roasted vegetables. I found that both the frittata and potatoes were a little too salty for me. Dave had homemade pecan pancakes. He loved the fact that the syrup came in a warmed server. Today I ordered breakfast for my office staff and when the food arrived two of the meals had rotten avocados . I called the restaurant which is 10 minutes away from our store to inform them of the situation and that I had pictures taken of the food immediately upon arrival. The manager Eduardo did came on the phone and immediately tried to tell me that the avocados were discolored due to the heat of the food. Then I explained to him that inside the avocados there were black dots and all around them. The manager Eduardo basically said and I quote " what do you want " I said to him sir I would first like a little respect and for you to listen , he then proceeded to say he was listening and that the avocados are not rotten . Towards the end of the conversation about who was right and who was an avocado expert . Eduardo never once apologized and I had to drive back for a new redo on the order . I drove with the order back so he could see that I didn't want anything other than bring it to his attention so no one else gets rotten avocado but to no avail . He was dismissive , rude kept looking up as I tried to speak and ask for his attention nicely. I short I would not recommend anyone getting take out from this First Watch because the manager Eduardo will never apologize or take accountability due to the fact that he is to self serving and give zero respect to his customers he needs to go back to training on how to respectfully navigate a client . He was deliberately rude and dismissive to me and my daughter in law . Completely inappropriate! read more

Food is great generally and just so very so so other times. Hit or miss. My complaint is that I used to always order a Traditional Breakfast. Two eggs but only one piece of toast. So last time, I asked if I could have two pieces of toast. Server said "Sure". Afterwards, I received my bill. They charged me $2.49 for an extra piece of toast! Never going back. It's sweet but the ginger comes through. * Service and atmosphere: the service was attentive. the coffee was solid, and they give you a whole carafe of it too-- No waiting for the server to come around for your refill! The prices are fair and the portions were BIG. IMO these are hallmarks of a good diner. It's a farmhouse style interior with lots of natural light. The tables are big wooden and solid-- nothing rickety. And the chairs are SOFT and UPHOLSTERED I have to reiterate how comfy these chairs are! The resturant was so crowded and noisy. Not relaxing at all. The waitress was so busy we only saw her once to take the order, once to bring drinks and once to bring the check. A runner brought out the food and we were never checked on after that. I wanted to try the cornbread and it was awful. It was hard like it was old and tasted awful. My benedict was supposed to have avacado but only have one little sliver. I was disappointed in my meal. My husband said his omelet was good. We weren't happy overall and won't be back. We had a party of six who went for brunch yesterday. The food was excellent. My banana stuffed French toast was superb. Coffee fresh & plentiful. Our only complaint was that all the food came out at the same time, but it was clear that some of it was ready beforehand and sitting about as it was decidedly lukewarm by the time it arrived. Being hungry and polite, we just ate what was put in front of us. It would have been better if they just served out each dish as it was ready and not waiting about. This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat lunch. However, the meal I had this afternoon was an exception to the normal standard I had come to expect. I ordered a sandwich and bowl of soup. The Market veggie sandwich was really skimpy. There was very little zucchini, like almost none, and few mushrooms as well. It was mostly spinach and cheese. I didn't taste the pesto and, it didn't even cover the bread on one side. :0( The soup was still delicious, however, I was never given a soup spoon, so I had to eat it using my teaspoon. After two requests, the proper spoon was provided. Not a big deal, however all the other times before when I ordered it, I was always given a soup spoon at the time it was served. Ok, what changed? Hopefully, just a bad day. The sandwich was basically flat. Not like the ones I received before and not at all like it is portrayed in the photo. Must have been just that sandwich, as the lunchmeat one my friend had was stacked except, they forgot the mayo and she did not receive a soup spoon as well. Come on, do better!
