The Cafe Restaurant, Cape Coral
Bruce K.

Perfect for a late breakfast as I'm slowly falling off the keto wagon. I had the "Gyro and feta" omelet which was great. Plenty of meat, plenty of cheese. and with great home fries on the side. A bit of ketchup and they were perfect. Service at 1pm was great even though the lunch rush was still going on. Mom and I had a delightful time. I'd eat here again! Ham and cheese omelette with hash browns.

Still a great omelette but it would great if the hash browns were brown and not tan. I'll ask that they brown them next time. Great service too.

Nice clean little diner with home style menu. Service was quick and the chicken salad sandwich was pretty good.

We stopped in for breakfast today (10/17/22). I chose the 2 egg breakfast with fried potatoes, sausage and a biscuit. I loved that they had the flavored creamers on the table. Our waitress was very attentive, though I didn't catch her name. Very reasonable prices l. For 2 meals and coffees it was $26.

A nice small cafe for a quick lunch. The food is delicious and fresh. I had a Caesar salad with chicken and my friend had an omelette with cheese and spinach. It looked good but she devoured it before snapping a photo. It's pretty standard and clean.

Greek omelette with spinach & feta cheese & English muffin

First time here. This restaurant is just an old school place, no special bells or whistles, food was good, I had a Greek omelette which was pretty good, with grits & English muffin, hub had the corned beef hash & eggs, just regular corned beef hash which he prefers over homemade.

Corned beef hash omlette, BLT, breakfast croissant and onion rings. Delish!

We started with the Boom Boom grouper bites and they were pretty good -- crispy, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. I also had a cup of the clam chowder and it was amazing. Super creamy, really flavorful, and loaded with clams. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée I had the lobster with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The lobster itself was good, just not the best I've ever had and a little on the tougher side. The mashed potatoes, however, were incredible and tasted totally homemade -- easily the best part of the plate. The broccoli was simple but good. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great chowder, tasty appetizers, and standout mashed potatoes. If you're in the area and don't mind a short wait at a smaller spot, it's definitely worth checking out.

So many great choices on the menu and we narrowed it down to the Florida Cracker Burger and the Del Boca Bista Grilled Cheese Sandwich. And so clean and the server was top-notch. I'm sure he was the manager because he was on top of the game today. The three of us came to lunch from Work # down the sidewalk and we were all impressed from the two cheeseburgers to the one grilled cheese . Now let's talk about those french fries....wow! My only complaint Yep I do have a complaint even though I've given it 5 stars because I do think they're going to correct this, and if they don't, my rating of five stars will not change. Because the food is fabulous. They do not have pickles. Pickle relish does not cut it. You have to have either a sliced pickle or a side of pickle for your hamburger. Please consider. I will be back soon and I hope I see pickles on the menu. Everything else they are killing it. I did not deduct a point or bring it down to 4 stars because of the pickle. This business is supporting local costs and that is a special place in my heart. Go Florida Boy!!!

One last thing that is not food/drink related is this, the bathrooms had signs that said "inclusive". I cannot stress how important and compassionate this is, especially during this time in our society. This shows that you as a company, value everyone who comes in to dine here regardless of who they are. The only negative for this place, and it really isn't a negative, is that you don't have another location in Winter Garden/Orlando Florida. If you did,we would be regulars.

Companion had the unlimited fish fry which was excellent that I wish we were just more hungry for. Freshly fried with a juicy white fish. Our server was extremely friendly and service was prompt. The layout was very similar to the original Anthony's which brought back fond memories. It appears they still have comedy shows on certain evenings. I think the clients are likely a little younger than before. We sat inside and it was quiet but they had a large crowd outside with live entertainment going. We were looking for a quiet dinner as seniors but the front deck was crowded with younger people who enjoyed the live music so there is really something for everyone. As compared to most other Cape Coral restaurants I found the prices extremely reasonable. And for the older crowd I see they still have liver and onions on the menu which was a staple when Anthony was there.
