The food was very appetizing with flair, generous servings, pleasant Waite staff, very clean surroundings! I would recommend this as a perfect lunch, brunch with enormous amount of take home servings. This is definitely a five star rating and everything you could possibly want or need for lunch or brunch. read more

Nice place with a very extensive menu. The server was very nice and the food was tasty and fresh. Would recommend for breakfast and lunch.

This Eggcetera is one of best breakfast and lunch restaurant in Fort Myers. We came here many times with friends for brunch. Today, we finished our exercise nearby and eight of us decided to get a quick bite. Naturally, we went to Eggcetera. As usual, we were seated quickly. Water, juices and coffee were flowing while we wait for our Western Omelet, Lox, Omelet, Sante Fe Omelet, Grits and Biscuit, Grilled Chicken bowls. They were well prepared! Well, they put up Santa Clause with a tropical shirt and sandals to greet patrons as you enter the main entrance. A little Floridian touch to Christmas! We have another wonderful meal in Eggcetera! read more

Such a wonderful place for brunch there's cute little breakfast and lunch spot. I love the name and is really clever. My hubby and I were looking for somewhere to get something to eat do the breakfast or lunch so this was a perfect place. We both decided on breakfast. He got the classic breakfast and I got the Village breakfast . They both were very satisfying and the perfect amount of food slightly too much for me but excellent. The only difference between the classic breakfast plate along with in the village is that mine the village came with bacon and that's the only addition and since I had four strips of bacon and I gave two of mine to my hubby, our server, Kevin was excellent made sure he took care of things in a pro Pt manner. Restrooms were very clean. The whole place was very inviting. We shall return again. read more

I have always had an excellent breakfast. However, last week I decided to have a Reuben sandwich and it was just awful. I felt sick for about a day and a half. I don't know if it was the meat the sauce or whatever but it was not good and I could not eat at all. There was hardly any sauerkraut on it. I would proudly promote breakfast, but do not order a Reuben. Harold. read more

I didn't have time to eat but I needed a coffee. I was very disappointed that they did not have specialty coffees considering they are a breakfast and brunch place. I ordered a coffee to go and was served in a styrofoam cup and no sugar in the raw. I had seen this place before and thought maybe one day I'll eat there but after knowing they don't have specialty coffees and no sugar in the raw, it's not likely I'll go back and try their food. The service was good, but when I want breakfast I need my cappuccino. read more

Great food and service. Kevin is a wonderful waiter. We always ask for him. Food delivered in a timely manner and also correct. .

We used to eat at Eggcetera frequently as the service & food were good. However, the food has not been good the past few times we went there, & last week I became very ill, suffering GI symptoms less than an hour after eating there. I question the cleanliness of the kitchen perhaps? Food was also overdone & unpalatable, & soup seemed to be "greasy" or oily. Something has changed drastically at Eggscetera, & it's very unfortunate. (Service remains good.) read more

The only greeting we got was "2 right?" no welcome or have a nice meal. Waited over five minutes to be served even though there were only five tables with customers. Had to refill my own coffee, I had to get my own takeout container. No one came to see how everything was, and no one said goodbye or have a nice day when we left even though 4 people were standing near the register. Won't be back. read more

Visited on a Tuesday at 12:30p. Ordered the "I don't give a f***" which came with an alcoholic beverage of my choice and was told "we will take care of the rest." The mimosa I received was delicious (and strong), the mystery meal was chicken and waffle with bacon, sausage gravy, over-easy eggs, and a fresh fruit cup on the side. Home-cooked food paired with locally sourced produce, friendly waitstaff (especially the guy with greying hair and loads of tattoos), quick service and very reasonable prices. Nothing negative to say at all! read more

We came in after what appeared to be the breakfast rush, and unfortunately the restaurant was quite dirty. The food was just okay, and the coffee wasn't the best. However, our server was incredibly kind, sweet, and attentive. She checked on us regularly and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Her positive attitude and attentiveness made up for many of the shortcomings and were definitely the highlight of our experience. read more

I always say its very hard to mess up breakfast. For a simple protein scramble...this was delicious and filling. Just the right amount for coming from a body sculpting spa. (Don't judge me). We headed over here with two hours of time to burn while Mom was having her surgery at the hospital across the way. No need to eat hospital cafeteria food when this is right here! At 7:30 am, we were warmly welcomed and seated. For about 20 minutes, we were the only ones in the restaurant so we had plenty of attention from the staff who took our order and refilled coffee. I chose the corned beef hash and eggs, quite pleased that they were able to poach them. They arrived perfect with a firm center and the hash was quite good with more beef than potato and there was also fried potatoes on the side. My brother had the farmer's omelet which came with a half avocado on top. A great portion and it looked perfect. Food was excellent, service was excellent and we had a very enjoyable meal. Plenty of time to get back across to the hospital and wait some more. And yes, mom is fine and recovering. [Review 20254 overall - 1757 in Florida - 1231 of 2023.] read more

Dined here two days in a row. Ordered takeout the first day and since they have changed their POS, it took forever to order from the server at the counter. She was nice, said she worked at the restaurant for 3 years, but everyone was flummoxed by the new POS. Ordered a Southern Scrambler (sub turkey sausage instead of pork sausage and gravy) w/breakfast potatoes, and when I got back, I received tasteless hash browns instead. My scrambler however was so perfectly made that I knew I would fulfill my promise of returning the next day to dine in. The next day, I dined in and let them know about the hash browns mix up and was told that's the only potato they have now as they no longer have breakfast potatoes. Apparently the menu was updated as well but not changed! So I ordered the scrambler again w/cheesy grits this time. The scrambler mistakenly came as an omelet this time, and although I was disappointed, it wasn't a deal breaker as I had to leave town and could not wait for a re-fire. Their toast is also 1 slice of bread cut in half which feels like cutting corners. I went to pay my check up front only to be told the check was not mine, and the check would be double what I was given. Bottom line is the folks in the kitchen can cook. But the taste the front of house left in my mouth, I don't think I will be back. read more

I've been here twice for breakfast. Love the fun different options. Can get what's considered "normal" breakfasts, but also things like "Little Italy" or "Polska" which have the ethnic flair such as Italian sausage and peppers or Polish sausage and sauerkraut (kapusta) with your eggs and toast. Can get very filling, hearty breakfasts but also as lighter options with egg whites. Service was quick and top notch. Wait staff came back regularly to check on status. read more

Today we ordered food for our office staff to go as previously we have been pleased with the food and service. However today we had a couple orders that were disappointing. The Cuban states it is pressed which it was not and it came on a hoagie roll, the pieces of meat looked like scraps, and it was not prepared as the menu stated. The second order did not have the side of sausage that was paid for but we did not receive it. There were 10 orders in our group but I would hope that someone is responsible for checking the orders prior to them being presented to the customer. The rest of our group was happy with their orders, and the food was good. read more

Prices are up here but it was packed on a Sunday late morning time. Five dollars for a glass of orange juice is a little pricey 15 bucks for an omelette. The prices never used to be this high. read more

So, the only "Cons" I have to report here is that my order wasn't as up to par as I would have liked it. I ordered their "Santa Fe Skillet". It consists of chicken, sautéed onions, jalapeños, with spicy Jack Cheese, two eggs cooked any style, your choice of toast, and sausage gravy ($10.95). To beat to the chase, everything was delicious - with the exception of the eggs. I ordered my eggs poached which in my book means when you fork into them the yolk is runny. I found this not to be the case. They had obviously been overcooked - not by much, but enough to categorize it as a "soft", not "poached" (IMO). That being said, everything else was very good. The service was friendly and courteous. Coffee refills were on time. The staff even sang "Happy Birthday" to an embarrassed, yet grateful, guest at an adjoining table. I love their mason jars with handles for your water (and the water is very good too). There's a slight up charge if you pay with a credit card. I don't know how much as we paid cash, but thought I'd let you all know. I'm going with a hearty 4 Stars. If you haven't been here, I'd recommend you check them out. I recently visited Eggcetera for the first time. I was craving a classic Reuben sandwich. It did not disappoint. The marble rye was thick cut and delicious. Great breakfast! I got the crepes and they were just fantastic. I finished the whole plate in a hurry, which I am normally not able to do. Their eggs are yummy too, and they even include a fresh slice of cantaloupe with it, a fun addition. The house coffee was decent, I sat and enjoyed several cups worth. Their maple syrup came in a cute glass bottle, and it was also warm which I usually consider the mark of a truly good breakfast place (warm syrup is what's up). Our waitress was the sweetest and funniest lady and she definitely helped make our visit more enjoyable. I'd come back here again just for the crepes though, I'd definitely recommend those! But so many other options on the menu sounded great too. I also appreciated they had lots of breakfast seafood items, like lobster eggs benedict which is a fun change up. read more

Happy to see breakfast skillets on the menu here. We don't have that as much where we live. So simple yet so good. We had a lobster skillet and western skillet. With that, had raisin toast. Why do they never mention raisin toast unless we ask. 3 stars bc our service was just okay and very rushed. Asked about using the check in offer and she said right away, we don't do this then she took my phone and the manager took it off. Good for quick breakfast on the way to Sanibel. We know Sanibel breakfasts would be a wait and here we had no wait. So good enough. No complaints, good skillets. They have outside patio seating and dog friendly! read more

I got there a bit "later" in the shift, but got a humongous chicken salad sandwich, just as I ordered it. It was delicious! I had to take half of it home, that's how big it was! The wine ( white) was sub-par. I'll leave it there. The waiter, while attentive, was hovering a bit too closely as it got closer to 2 pm. He was pleasant, but the body language was clear for me to pay up! Overall, a good place to go before 12! Enjoy! read more

Went for the first time today. It's very busy. Tables are close together and it kind of loud. Can't carry on a conversation, they need ceiling tile or something to buffer the noise. The sound is amplified because there is no ceiling buffer , it's bad. Definitely not on the relaxing side but the amount of customers tells me the food is probably pretty good. Our server was nice, very efficient, not overly friendly but definitely competent. It was super busy so I am guessing that was why she was in a hurry to take our order. Hand sanitizer on all the tables so that was a nice touch.Food was awesome. My wrap was Parmesan and the filling was grilled chicken, red onion, goat cheese and spinach ,strawberries and walnuts . Amazing. Food was worth the visit. Ambiance not so much, Next time I' ll eat outside ... read more

I have frequent the restaurant several times in the past with my husband and enjoyed the quinoa salad. I wanted to introduce a friend to the restaurant and ordered the Sanibel salad. It was dry and had so much grizzle in the chicken. I asked for some extra balsamic and was told it was an extra $.75 cuz it was expensive. I was deeply disappointed and only ate 1/2 of the salad.
