This was an okay place. I'm going to go back because I always do. They seemed pretty chaotic even though it wasn't very full. Mom's fried potatoes were toasted so she was pretty crusty. BUT the minute she told them they fixed it fast. I really enjoyed my pork pulled sandwich. It's very homey inside which I'm a fan of, lots of regulars. We arrived midmorning on a Sunday and had no problem getting a table for eight. The service was very fast and the breakfast was served in under 10 minutes. The food portions were very large and I left with a full stomach. The omelette was packed with meats and cheese. It had good flavor and the sides we good as well, breakfast potatoes and English muffin. The place was clean and inviting. The prices were reasonable. I would have given it a five but that people I was with thought pancakes were dry. But they did have log cabin syrup and Heinz ketchup!! I would return next time in the area. read more

A quick breakfast after allergy shots at Annie's in the South Cape! Never disappointing-quality service and food! Today I had two breakfast tacos loaded with scrambled eggs, bacon,onions and tomatoes. There was such a big portion inside each taco, I couldn't believe it. Then grits and some potatoes. Dave had the Western Omelet with grits and an English muffin. Everything is cooked fresh and delicious. Freckles got a big doggie bag for her dinner lol! Annie's Restaurant 5-30-24 Stopped by Annie's for lunch today and this place was packed. We got a table fast, and waitress came right over and took our drink orders and gave us menus. She came back a short time later to take our orders. I ordered the club combo sandwich with fries and so did my wife. It did not take too long for our food to come out and boy this sandwich was huge. My mouth was not big enough to take a bite without crushing it down a little bit. This was one large sandwich. It tasted very good and everything on it tasted fresh. The fries were very good as they tasted like they were seasoned. Now you know why all the locals come here. It was all I could do to get the entire sandwich down as I was getting filled up and I still had a couple fries to go. I was too good to leave anything on my plate. My wife could not eat the entire meal, so she got a box to take some along home. We did eat the leftovers the next day and they were still good. I loved this place, it's very basic but has a great vibe with a lot of locals in there. If you want a fancy place with posh decor this is not the place for you. If you want great food and good conversation at reasonable prices this is the perfect place for you. They do run specials most days, you will just have to call of check on line for that particular day. I will give this place 4 out of 5 stars. WARNING this is one of the Cape Coral restaurants that punishes patrons for using a credit card, by charging a 3.5% "service fee" for all non cash payments. The service was ok, the food was very good. It is a nice place all in all. But the service fee charge is a big turn off. The amount wasn't much, but I really dislike money grabbing Managment. Will they soon be charging if you want to use their bathroom? Or charge for using salt & pepper? Typical American breakfast place with good food and service. A little overpriced. Portions are nice and food is consistently good. Staff is very good and keeps your coffee cup full. Lots of seating and clearly a local favorite. We have been a few times when in town and it is always packed. I have had their vegetable omelet which was very good. It took us awhile to find Annie's but we were quite determined based on feedback we had received here. So determined in fact, that my fiance and I got into a tiny spat over taking a left or a right but in the end the lady at a random Circle K pointed us in the exact wrong direction. In clear violation of the posted warning, we eventually settled in a neighboring businesses parking lot. Allegedly. Thankfully, nothing was towed per the clearly alleged warning but honestly, at the owner's expense, I'd have happily paid the fine for my meat lover's omelette. M'lady got herself some biscuits and gravy and loved them slightly less than my omelette. That is an assumption of my own because it'd be impossible she loved them more. This happens to be the first place I've added sausage gravy as a coating to my omelette and although my doctor advised otherwise it will not be the last. Sorry Robert. First and foremost Annie's is not perfect. But they have really good food and friendly family like atmosphere. I would like to mention there is NO $4.00 sodas. They are $3.00 and refillable. If something comes out of the kitchen that you don't like just speak up and the staff will do everything possible to make it right. Some complain about the 3.5% service fee for credit cards. I totally think there should be a sign on the door or the servers should make you aware before ordering. But this is a small family owned business that chose to NOT penalize the "cash" customers with higher prices!! Last but not least the prices on Yelp are NOT Annie's responsibility. They keep Facebook updated and provide a menu with clearly marked prices. If you think those are to high before you order you do have the opportunity to leave. Received menu at Annie's. $17.50 for an omelette!!! When I returned home I immediately called and spoke to the Manager. She said that she had no idea how to change things on the internet. Annies doesn't look like much from the outside... or the inside... a little dirty, outdated, dark, but don't let that fool you. Service at Annies is almost always fast and efficient and there has never been a mistake with my order. i usually go for breakfast. The pancakes are the best in Cape Coral.
