This was my first time at Perceptions, and the staff was great! As soon as I walked in the door, the staff welcomed me with a smile. I had an IPL and was very happy with my RN Jennifer. She answered all of my questions before and after treatment. She was happy to answer my questions about her qualifications , and was so kind. Throughout the treatment she kept asking me how I was doing and reminded me if I felt uncomfotable that we could take a break. We chated about our families and it was a really nice experience. After treatment she gave me aftercare instructions and walked me up front to make my next appointment. I would definatly recommend Jennifer she is a great asset to Perceptions. I went there for laser hair removal (first time ever) and just left my first appointment so I can't say how effective it is yet, but my experience there was very pleasant. Came here because of a Groupon! Usually not sure what to expect - do people get irked by these? Are they happy because it brings in new business? In any case, I was impressed upon walking in. Comfy couches, lots of magazines and Latisse! So happy to find a distributor. My Groupon was for a 60 minute massage. I got there about 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork, etc. and the masseuse never showed! Meanwhile, they offered me a complimentary brow wax, which I was in need of. So after waiting for about 15 minutes past my appointment time, I had to reschedule, this time they upgraded me to 90 minutes! I was out of Latisse, so I was able to purchase it there - that was a bonus. Second time around, finally was led to a subdued, candle-lit room with Enya-esque music in the background. I forgot the masseuse's name (I have her card somewhere...) but it was not the one who flaked initially. I asked for firm pressure (I like to feel some pain) and yes, she delivered. They have monthly plans starting at $65 a month - includes either a facial or 60 min massage - and I am tempted to indulge in some self care. Definitely plan on coming back, with or without a Groupon. read more

I have had botox a few times prior to coming to see NP Summer but it had never been a great experience. In the past I either ended up with a crooked forehead and droopy eyelids or no effects at al. Summer took the time to listen and got me the exact Botox experience I had always been searching for. She makes great recommendations but ultimately listens and does what you are comfortable with. I hadn't considered laser hair removal until I had a couple friends refer me to this place. They both have their armpits done, and I started to really consider getting my armpits done after I had seen their results. I finished my 5th session today, and have 2 more left for my armpits. I can't even begin to describe how exciting my results have been so far. Not only is the service good and the place is really clean, but the people who do the laser are so so nice and have made my experience great each time I've gone. I've had different people every appointment, and they've all been great honestly. The people at the front desk are also so sweet and have made me feel so welcomed each time I have entered the building. I see Summer for Botox, and she is absolutely fantastic. She makes the entire procedure go smoothly and she is really calming when she's making the injections. When I ask her about other procedures I never feel bad for coming off as vain or "insecure." She is very professional and explains things in a medical way. I've recommended Summer to my friends and sister. I wouldn't steer them wrong, she is 5 stars and probably a factor in my LOVE of Botox. And Perceptions staff is very friendly. The ladies that work here are phenomenal! Summer did my bikini area (laser hair removal) and she was so professional yet friendly! I have lived around Fair Oaks for years, but I've never heard of Perceptions for some reason. I'm amazed that they're not as popular as they should be. Before knowing about Perceptions Aesthetic Spa, I did my underarms at LaserAway for $830 (8 treatments), and after finding out that I could've done it for $199 (6 treatments) at Perceptions, I was so upset that I chose to go to LaserAway because of that massive price difference. WOW! I have been a client of Perceptions for many years now. I've had facials, massages, laser hair removal, waxing, Emsculpt and IPL laser treatments done here. I have had problems with my skin for a while and now that I am on Skin Medica and Sente products, my skin has really cleared up. For my acne, I saw really incredible results from the IPL treatment. (Shout out to Jennifer for being such an awesome nurse during this process). Post treatment, my hyperpigmentation lifted to the surface of my skin and fell off within a few days. Just in a couple days I was able to see less redness from my acne scarring. All the staff was really friendly and helpful - they have always aided me in answering any questions. read more

Elle and Kimberly are the reason I've been a loyal customer here for over 3 years! I started seeing Elle for Botox a few years ago, and I'm always really pleased with the natural results - no startled or surprised looks when she's behind the needle. I've been contemplating getting my lips done for many years, and was finally ready this last month. Elle gave me great advice, and was very conservative with enhancing my lips to a more plump version of their natural shape. I couldn't be more pleased with the results!! Kimberly is a phenomenal aesthetician, and I'm convinced her hands are magical. Not only is she an expert at reading what my skin needs, but her spa room has a soothing, zen-like vibe. Getting my monthly facial with Kimberly is my favorite day of the month. She always recommends the best skincare products, and never has a pushy, "salesman" approach. This practice is operating illegally. They do not have a doctor onsite at all times (required by California law) and the owner pretends/refers to himself as the doctor (he has a bachelor's degree in Physiology). If there were to be an actual medical emergency, there would be no doctor there to help. I've already reported them to the California Medical Board and am pursuing my own personal options as far as civil litigation goes. Editing due to lie written below (8/2): I am not a former, disgruntled employee. I, in fact, have never worked for Perceptions or Eric. Eric, the owner (who wrote the below response), routinely refers to himself as a doctor. Eric does not have a PHD, nor is a physician onsite at all times. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to ask to speak with/see the actual doctor every time they go to Perceptions. I'd love to list more, but have been advised by my attorneys not to. Don't be surprised if Perceptions is out of business in a few months, and please make sure you ask for the "doctor's" credentials when you are in. By law, any place injecting fillers such as Botox must have a licensed physician onsite at all times and every new patient MUST be seen by one before receiving any services. THIS IS THE LAW. Corinne (physician assistant) has only worked at Perceptions for approximately 1-month (from what I have noticed in coming in over the past 2-years). Before that, not a single patient (that I know, as some of my friends come here) ever saw a doctor or physician assistant (including myself). I presume that adds up to thousands of patients.... She also only seems to work a few days a week? Given she wasn't in the last 3 times I was at Perceptions. Once again, Perceptions is operating ILLEGALLY. If you have been to Perceptions and were not seen before/after by an actual doctor or physician assistant, please message me. @Eric, I suggest you lawyer up. read more

Perceptions is such an incredible business and aesthetic spa. I'd recommend to anyone in the area. If I had to, I would make the drive here even if it was further away!! I've gone to both the Roseville and fair oaks location:) Both are decorated in the cutest way and are so clean! The staff is so friendly, organized, and kindhearted. Right when you walk in, the receptionists welcome you and make you feel at home. Karrin is also the sweetest person ever-- so helpful, welcoming, and reassuring. She called me before my appointment to make sure I knew the details of my procedure and what the healing would look like. Eric is also amazing. They make the business run so smoothly. I got my lips done with Violetta, and she did them exactly how I wanted them. She was very knowledgeable, explained every step and detail to me, so comforting, and made the experience so enjoying. I've been coming to Elle for Botox for a little over a year now, had the most incredible facial with Kim and I am always in love with my results. Elle has a way of being so incredibly sweet while still being completely honest, and Kim is so knowledgeable and must have some magic in those fingers. I've told all my friends and family how much I love them and all of the girls at the front desk, everyone has always been so kind, understanding, and so very accommodating, literally anything you need or would like to know they will gladly help you with. I bought a Groupon for bikini laser hair removal a few months ago and made my appointment to Start the sessions. I was told I would have the same nurse doing the treatment every time since exposing your "bikini area" could be a little awkward to a different person every time. Well I have been in 5 times now and every time I have had a different nurse performing the laser hair removal. Besides that, I gave them two stars because every time I've been in for a treatment I'm being up sold to buy laser hair removal for other areas which is not included on the Groupon. Each laser treatment keeps getting faster and less personal, I was in yesterday and the nurse was done in less than a minute.. doesn't seem very effective. The receptionists have been very friendly and accommodating with getting me in. Don't know that I'll be getting anymore services here once the sessions are done. read more

EDIT: $75 fee for needing to reschedule an appointment that literally takes less than 10 minutes. They do not care about the health of their staff or other patients. $75 to be a normal, considerate person and not spread what ever I'm sick with around. I wanted to reschedule! It wasn't like I was just bailing on you! Instead of me finishing my ~$450 payment plan you get $75. Yay you. I have always been 15 minutes or more early to my appointments. I have an appointment today but I woke up sick this morning. I get to pay a giant cancellation fee to come in and not spread my sickness around. I used to like this place but now I know their sanitation standards are terrible. I'm contagious and you are going to be using a lazer that touches my face, then that lazer will touch other people's faces. So I am paying that fee and I said I would like to stop all future payments on the services I paid you for since I will no longer be using you. They want me to come in and fill out paper work so I can stop giving them money. HA. Is the one time I need to cancel worth the money for you guys? I've never cancelled before! I'm always early! I am so happy I found this place! The girls helped me through all my phone calls with numerous questions lol! I love that I am I greeted/checked in right upon arrival and the girls in the front are professional. Jennifer is amazing with her work and made me feel very comfortable during my visits. I am one week post juvaderm lip fillers (1 syringe) and super happy with how they are looking! The process itself was easy - very little pain since she used lidocaine to numb the area. My other experience with fillers, at a DIFFERENT place ... it didn't feel all that great lol.
