I decided last minute on a Saturday night 45 minutes before closing to try and do a walk to get a full set they did not hesitate and said yes and they were not mad at me for it. Not once did I feel out of place or uncomfortable. BEWARE of the scam from Lovel Nails on MadisonAve! I had a gift certificate from Christmas for $70 and went in for a pedicure. The man at the counter refused to take it stating he had just purchased the business but it was the same card in the certificate envelop, same name and phone number. The moment I started recording sayi I would turn them in as this is completely unethical he said "ok I'll take it" at that point there was no way I was comfortable getting my feet worked on. read more

Gosh I really don't like leaving a 1 star review but honestly I had such a bad experience I don't want anyone to even waste their hard working money here. I paid $45 (50 with tip) for a gel manicure and my nails peeled off the next day. The gentlemen who painted my nails got the color all up in my cuticles that it literally just peeled off the entire nail the next day. I came in few days later to just get them re painted at the least (to get some of my moneys worth) and one lady started painting then another took over, did such a bad job.. I asked her if she thinks it looks good and she said yes. I'll let you guys be the judge. I WISH this nail salon got the recognition they deserve , i won't lie I was very skeptical going in because of other reviews but decided to go anyways AND IM SO GLAD I DID !! I have been going to a different salon for years and they charge me an arm and leg for dip nails. I went to Lovely Nails today and Tommy welcomed me in with a huge smile and the entire appointment I could not stop laughing. Tommy is a pure joy to be around , throughout my entire appointment he had told me if I didn't like anything or went home and had changed my mind I could come back and he would re do then FOR free. Visited this salon yesterday. The atmosphere was great the workers were nice and friendly! The place was very clean and tidy. Clean walls and equipment. Even the stations were in order, Tommy greeted us with a warm welcome and so did the rest of the staff, made it very relaxing. Beverly and Helen were our mail artist for the day, and they both did an amazing job! Definitely ask for them! Beverly was very attentive during the service and kept checking up if I was doing ok or if she was being rough, and Everything was great once again did a great job! I came in about 2 weeks ago, the lady that did my nails was really nice but unfortunately her work was not the best. Almost all of my nails are crooked, and a couple days after getting them done most of them started to lift on the sides and the acrylic on the top of my nails is really thin. read more

Got a manicure and pedicure today. They were really nice but the person doing mine was clearly rushing through it. She didn't massage my feet at all and it looks like my 4 year old painted my nails. I came in today for a mani/pedi and the beginning of my service was awesome. The man that works here was very sweet and made great conversation and listened to my needs! My appointment took a turn for the worse when a woman took over. She spent more time on the phone than actually tending to my nails and tried to push my nail off of my skin on my thumb so far that I jumped with pain and had to tell her to stop. She didn't do a top coat on my right hand and kept leaving me to upsell gel to the two girls that came in that had said multiple times they wanted regular paint. She then left me again to call at least 4 different numbers to get them to come in next for a mani/pedi. Attached is the aftermath of my thumb incident that is STILL in pain. I really wish I could give this place a better rating but it was just awful. My girlfriend and I made an appointment for this past Sunday at 2 pm and were surprised to find an empty salon. Only one other lady was in there getting a pedicure. They must be extremely short staffed because when I tried to book an appointment a day in advance, they kept pushing my time further into the afternoon claiming they were full. Whateves- no big deal. This pregnant lady has been on bedrest and could not WAIT to get her toes done as I can no longer reach (8 months pregnant here) and my doctor just barely had approved me to leave the house once in a while. Well the gal doing my toes did a real number on my left big toe. She was scraping it really hard with the file and it completely ripped off the top layer of skin around my nail bed (see attached photo- I've got the pink toes). She also tried to help me get my flip flops back on and completely smudged my big toes polish (photo doesn't do it justice), but instead of doing that toe over she just put more paint on top of it, so it's no longer smooth- but is bumpy and weird looking. My girlfriend's toes (black toenails), wasn't even painted all the way. We had already left to grab some Starbucks when we noticed that the paint job she got was sloppy- parts around her toe had nail polish splatters and then parts of the toenail were completely MISSING paint (see her pinkie toe). Not to mention but the entire time other people were showing up for their appointments and so the two workers there were "multi tasking" with us. We weren't even getting dedicated service! They'd do one thing for us, then switch to another person to work on them for a bit. They even had some poor guy who had booked an appointment for the day but they couldn't accommodate him because someone showed up an hour late to their appointment and they took the late person instead of rescheduling them. Very unfair to the guy who showed up to his appointment on time. I know they were "busy" since it was just the two of them, but how did they think that it was acceptable for us to leave the salon like this while charging Us full price still? Yesterday the staff was very attentive and carried conversations with my friends and I. They were even understanding when I had gotten lost and arrived after my group.
