I had purchased a multisession laser hair removal package for my wife back in March. I had done a lot of research and chose Eternity Med Spa since they had the Soprano XL Diode machine made by Alma Laser and an esthetician with 8+ years of experience. The first two appointments in March and April that my wife had with Angie were a good experience. Everything started to fall apart starting with the June appointment. Angie, the experienced esthetician that had done such a great job, was no longer there, the new lady didn't do a thorough job, then the Soprano laser broke and the replacement machine was older, less powerful, and hurt much more. The next two sessions were such poor experiences that the office manager offered to credit my wife for the sessions. They promised that they were getting the Soprano laser fixed and scheduled her for her next appointment. When she showed up for that appointment, the Soprano still wasn't working, but they didn't bother to notify her before she drove out for her appointment. They continued to promise that the Soprano was getting fixed and scheduled her for further appointments but they were never able to deliver. Since my wife has a neuromuscular condition (that was communicated before the purchase of the laser treatment package), it was very important to keep her on the high quality Soprano machine. With each new appointment my wife would find out that the Soprano still wasn't fixed because she was proactively calling since the staff apparently couldn't keep notes in their system or be responsible for communicating with us. After many canceled and failed appointments we decided we were done with them and just needed a refund. We had many conversations with the office manager and she said on October 27th that they would give us a refund since they were unable to deliver on the services. The doctor that owns the business apparently decided that he didn't want to give a refund and wanted more time to try to get the Soprano fixed, even though they have had months without progress. I had two calls with him but he no longer returns my calls and won't give us a refund. Since he refuses to give us a refund for the services that he can't provide and he won't return my calls, we have requested our credit card company to dispute the charge to get the refund. This has been a terrible experience with this business and a great waste of our time. I recommend that everyone should avoid them at all costs. read more

I was a customer of Eternity Med Spa for over a year and loved it. Tera ran the business and Angie, who did the lasering, was excellent. Then one day I showed up for my appointment and the entire staff had changed. They didn't mention anything to me about it when they confirmed over the phone the day before. Plus, when I arrived at my appointment time, the door was locked and I had to stand outside until someone showed up (late). This place used to be great, but there has been a big change of management and the dozens of 4-5 star reviews before May of 2014 do not reflect the current business. Can I not give zero stars?? UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES - I have been getting laser hair removal here for almost a year. Booked an appointment for a new area about two weeks ago. SPECIFICALLY SAID that I was calling to make an appointment WITH ANGIE. I was NOT told that Angie, who is fabulous and I trust implicitly, was no longer there. I thought it was weird that Tara didn't answer the phone, but assumed someone else was just filling in. I spelled out exactly the conversation I had with Angie the last time I was in and exactly what I was booking, along with reminding her of the price I was quoted. Got there for my appointment today, new people... gave me a story about needing to sign a new disclosure "because it's 2014." Um, it's JUNE. And I've been seen three times in 2014. Clearly, the old agreement was with ANGIE. Things continued to get sketchier. After finding out that the staff had changed, I reminded the receptionist of the price I'd been quoted AND HAD DISCUSSED WITH HER ON THE PHONE. She did not say it was an issue. Then she gave me the weird new disclosure to sign and picked up a phone call while I stood waiting for 15 minutes. There was clearly no one in the back with the new person, Summer, but she didn't come out and introduce herself or anything. It was like they were completely unprepared. But it did give me an opportunity to text my husband, google Angie, and discover Yelp reviews written by longtime clients who had been burned by the new laser technician. When the receptionist finally got off the phone, she started quoting me a price that was more than I had discussed with her on the phone and also when I arrived. I asked if I was being told that they were not going to honor the quote I'd already been given and she said that I was getting a very good deal because the actual cost would be over $800. I asked why I was not given this information when I called. Apparently, people are only being told the staff has changed if they ask that directly. So I called and asked for an appointment with Angie and you think it's ethical to not tell me that she no longer works there? And you are unwilling to honor the price I was quoted AND DISCUSSED WITH YOU TWICE?! I was told she could "call Dr. Martinez and see if he would honor it." I told her to call Dr. Martinez and tell him that his unethical business practices were not earning him ANY of my money and that he could look forward to my negative review on Yelp. Interestingly, though Yelp policies say businesses have no way to remove negative reviews, several negative reviews of the new staff and questionable business practices that I read on my phone in my car immediately after exiting the building are no longer visible... which seems pretty sketchy as well. My advice to anyone considering allowing someone to put a laser against their skin is this: a well-qualified person you trust is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing. It was my first time at a skin spa and was quite scared as well as skeptical. I'm a 31 bi-racial woman and went in to see if they could help me get rid of some cystic acne scars that come up over the last few months. Going from having flawless skin to having huge dark ugly spots in random areas of my face was devastating!. I met with RN Summer and she went over the process with incredible detail as well as care. I felt welcomed and most of all cared for. I was not looked at as $$ as many other consultations seem. After she explained the procedure I felt ready to go and more confident about my decision than I ever had before. The service was amazing, pleasant and I definitely have a Spa that I can call "mine" for life! I went in for the Pixel Laser treatment. I am also an ex smoker and spent much of my 20's having fun in the sun! From the river, snow sports, out door sports ie. After my treatment, my skin was red and a bit sensitive to the touch (sunburn like) but the overall procedure was painless. I loved how summer took her time with me and was thorough. Looking forward to seeing the end results of Summer's work. So far I am already seeing results my skin is looking more even, lively, and smoother after day 2 post treatment. I had bought 3 laser hair removal treatments from a Living Social deal that I could not pass up! I've had laser treatments over 5 years ago and they have definitely come come a long way. It was very easy to set up an appointment. Tara was friendly as was Angie who was the one who did the treatment. It's a pretty simple & fast treatment and I saw results after just one visit. I've used my Living Social deal and was informed that the owner of Eternity Med Spa will still honor the Living Social price, which is GREAT news! Came here for my first Botox treatment recently. I was nervous, but the nurse Summer was great and made me feel totally comfortable. She really knew her stuff, listed off all the facial muscle groups, and walked me through the whole process to make sure I got the results I wanted. The procedure itself was weird but gentle at the same time. She gave me fair warning before poking me, which I appreciated, and it hurt as little as sticking a needle into your forehead can hurt. Overall, a simple, painless experience. Now for the results... LOVE IT! My wrinkles disappeared with a relatively low dose of Botox, and I'm still able to move the muscles and it looks amazing. This year has been all about taking care of my skin! So after researching and reading a lot of reviews I went ahead with Eternity MedSpa. Not only because they had amazing reviews, they were close to my work, but they also seemed to offer fair pricing and financing options. I spoke with Angie about photo rejuvenation, pixel laser treatments, fillers, and botox. The girl is knowledable! She will be completely 100% honest with you too, I didn't want to be sold into something I didn't need yet and she made feel totally comfortable. I also felt comfortable because she had some amazing skin!! So after about 20 minutes of talking about what I would benefit from we decided on a couple procedures. I got Botox on the side of my eyes! I was so excited to get this done, Botox is a preventative and I'm all about preventing anything. I was glad to hear that everything else was fine. I was also thinking about doing filler but in the end we decided that it wasn't extremely necessary. So glad she was honest with me! Loved her. I like the place. The ladies that did the procedures are very nice. I got the LivingSocial deal for 6 laser hair removal treatments. To be honest at first I felt like I was selling out, but slowly I realized I was afraid because I've never done anything like this. Since I have really sensitive skin shaving made things worse, even painful at times. It made me so self conscience I would wear a lot of clothes to cover-up, even in the melting heat of summer... no joke. I've been working so hard for most of my years to helping others, taking time for my own needs was never part of my plans. Once I realized there was nothing wrong with that, I did it. I have to say it was a really great investment. It achieves the same results as waxing but faster. Even though the ladies that did my treatments were really nice, the reason I gave the place 4 out of 5 is because the receptionist is not really friendly. At first I felt like I made a mistake by purchasing the treatments because she made me feel like I didn't belong there. Checking in every time was uncomfortable. It wasn't until at the very end, after my last treatment, did she convey any warmth and that was when she said goodbye.*shrug*. I got the Living Social deal for laser treatment. Before my appointment I was freaking out about pain and didn't know what to expect. I put topical anesthetic on just in case for my upper lip. When I went in, I met with Angie. Super nice!! Very professional, and has a lot of experience with clients. She put me at ease and explained every little step. She was also honest about the pain and since I was scared, she started off with the smallest laser dosage. By then my anesthetic was in full power and when she started the procedure, I honestly didn't feel a thing! The laser was gliding over my upper lip and in less than a minute she was done. So pleasant! I don't know how it feels without anesthetic but if you have it, don't worry at all. I recommend getting topical anesthetic with 5% lidocaine if you're worried! I found this place through Living Social and bought 6 laser treatments. I had gone to a place all the way in Folsom for laser treatment. After my fist visit with Angie at Eternity, I immediately cancelled my appt with the Folsom office and scheduled my follow up treatments with Angie. The pain level was significantly decreased and Angie took my sensitvity into consideration. They have a cold air hose that helps to cool down the skin and distract from the treatment. I enjoy my visits with Angie, she is professional, knowledgeable and I leave happy and pain free. read more

Today was my third visit and each time I've been in, there is nobody else there except (and not even necessarily) the previous appointment exiting, or if you are on your way out, the next appointment coming in! They do not engage in the process of overlooking. This place is uber profesh ;) the waiting room is neat, clean and odorned in a beachy spa chic motif but as I said, you won't be waiting long. Staff is very knowledgeable and what especially caught my attention is for my lip augmentation, Cynthia was very precise and took her time in making sure that I achieved the results I wanted without letting me go too big at first - no duck lips!!! I love this place regardless of recent staff changes. EMS always has professionals here that are highly knowledgeable. Even though I saw some complaints here about staff change and lack of organization... Coming from a business background, having such changes will create some administrative issues regardless of how smooth the transition is. What a scam!!! I paid over $800 for laser hair removal. They closed the Natomas location, canceled or scheduled EVERY appointment I made... When I did actually get to go to an appointment, I would have a brand new tech, whom I'd never seen before. They went through at least a dozen employees. They wouldnt want to numb me, or leave the cream on. The settings were different, how they went over my skin, the entire process was ALWAYS different. I couldn't get consistent appointments, they stopped answering their phones. They dont return calla.. I'd show up and it was always closed. I went last week and walked into the Docs main clinic across the hall and they said the Business was CLOSED and to write a letter. Wouldnt let me talk to the owner (Hes the Dr there) The office was still fully furnished, no signs on the door saying its closed.... but I'm out $800 with NO results and no one to contact directly!!! read more

I wish that I were able to get an appointment. I bought a groupon about 2 weeks go and decided to call and make the appointment yesterday. Because I've never been in there weight loss program, I would need to see their doctor first. Seeing the doctor is not a problem for me at all, I get it. But why offer this weight loss program deal if the doctor will only be available on Tuesday's around 12:00 for months on end. That probably should've been stated in the small print next to the appointment required notice. Being that I work during the week, like most people, I probably won't be able to get in before the groupon expires. She politely pointed out as well, that I need to use it by the expiration date. I've been coming here since Tara and Angie were running the place, and while I was initially hesitant about the staff change I haven't noticed any major changes. I have PCOS and as a result have some issues with hirsutism, and this place has been a life saver for me. All of the people who I've worked with have been very knowledgable and helpful, and when I had some minor skin issues after my last appointment, they took my feedback into consideration for my next appointment. Reasonably priced and clean! I'll also note that I live hundreds of miles away, and I come back here every time I'm in town because of the great job they do. This review is for my second treatment for under arms at Eternity Med Spa, which will be my 8th treatment overall b/c I had six treatment at another place that needed touchup. Between my first and second treatment here I noticed no results, the hair did not fall out or grow back thinner. I brought this to the esthetician attention during my second appointment and she increased the setting on the laser machine, which did produce more noticeable results within days. I noticed my underarm hair didn't grow back immediately as it did before after the first treatment. With the increase setting on the machine I did noticed some sensation during treatment, it feels like being flicked with a rubber band. However that is expected during treatment and for sensitive folks like myself take 2 ibuprofen before or after treatment to manage the discomfort. Overall the staff are wonderful, they call a day before and gave a courtesy reminder of the appointment. They also worked with me when an unexpected obligation came up and I needed to reschedule, they were able to squeeze me in that same day. read more

Juliana is a "no frills" aesthetician. There's no foo foo stuff just straight clinical skin care. She's extremely knowledgeable and no matter what she decides to do to your skin, the price is always the same. Not sure about other reviewers getting $85 per treatment because that was only my first treatment then $105 from there. Still just a small investment for great skin. Going to consult with Angie next time too and I'm very excited based on what I've read about her read more
