I had lip filler done by Nurse Jennifer in March 2025 and unfortunately had a very poor experience. This was my first time ever getting lip filler, so I relied heavily on the provider's expertise and recommendations. I was encouraged to do a dental block for numbing, which left me numb much longer than expected. The bruising afterward was extensive, and I experienced pain and tenderness for weeks. I could feel not only the individual injection sites but also what felt like the path of the needle throughout my lips. As the filler settled, my lips became lumpy, uneven, and unnatural looking. They also felt firm and irregular to the touch. At my follow-up appointment, Jennifer told me the filler needed to be massaged. The massage was incredibly painful--so painful that my eyes were watering during the appointment. She also acknowledged that my lips were crooked, stating they "just needed a little more on the top of one side," but no complimentary correction was offered despite the poor outcome and the amount I had already spent. Considering the results, I'm now grateful that no additional filler was added. Four months later, I sought treatment from another injector because I was unhappy with the results. The difference was night and day. She was able to improve the appearance of my lips using only topical numbing cream, and I experienced little to no bruising afterward. She also explained that my lips appeared overfilled, which likely contributed to the lumpiness and uneven appearance. Even now, I can still see and feel filler remaining in the back of my lips. When I pull my lip down, there is a noticeable bulge that resembles a fat lip. The filler appears to have been placed farther back than necessary,. Looking back, I wish I had done more research before booking. My only additional complaint is that pricing was never clearly discussed beforehand. Because my lips were naturally very small, I agreed to two syringes during the appointment and was surprised by the final bill. As a first-time filler client, I would have appreciated more transparency regarding total costs before treatment began. I was also never given a receipt. I later called to request one and was told it would be emailed to me, but I never received it. Overall, this was an expensive and disappointing experience. I am in my 40s and decided I wanted to get my first peel. I chose the vi peel and set off doing my research. After contacting multiple establishments the best price for a vi peel package was given to me here, by the owner, Eric. He talked to me at length about my skin concerns and recommended vivace package as well. I priced that out online and the deal I was offered was more than competitive. I booked the vivace first. It might have been naomi? Because thats who i was told i booked with, took photos and numbed me, then Skylar came in and explained the procedure, what to expect, how to use products, etc. She was very knowledgeable. Skylar knew her stuff and explained every step of the way and even the history of products and how they work. The vivace didn't hurt at all. This place isn't close to me, about 45 min drive but totally worth the drive for the service and reasonable pricing. Also, do you research on quality as well, not just pricing. My understanding is Eric used to be in medical sales and stays on top of what's new in the market and only gets the best of the best. No outdated machines/technology here. I have been coming here for almost a year now getting Laser hair removal treatments. I had called the front desk and told the girl on the phone what I wanted to get done and she quoted me an excellent deal. Personally I hated spending $50 a month on Brazilian waxing. For just a little more I'm getting more more for my money. For example, now my underarms are always smooth and I have to shave maybe twice a month.... And I still have two more treatments to do. I'm sure touch-up treatments will be done but I'm really impressed. The staff is so warm and welcoming Everytime I come in. I would love to leave a 5 star review for Kimberly as she is phenomenal and the only person I trust for the last 3 years, but unfortunately management ruined this for me and I won't recommend Perceptions due to it. COVID happened and I get it threw a wrench in everyone's lives but don't tell customers you're going to make them a priority if you aren't. And then don't force them off the phone. They were very nice, patient and answered all my questions. With the overwhelming response through Groupon, I wasn't able to get in for about 5 weeks but since then I've been able to rebook every 2 months as the appointments are spaced 8 weeks apart. I have finished 4 of 6 visits and really pleased so far. I've stayed with Summer for my laser tech. She's so sweet, gentle and funny. I enjoy the quick appointments and can't wait to see the final results after 2 more visits. The only con... is they are so far! I get lip fillers with Jennifer. She is very nice, caring and easy to speak with. I've gotten lip fillers at other spas before and you could feel the fillers going through your lips and as if it was also going through your teeth (ouch), but here, you don't feel anything as they provide lidocaine injections in your mouth. I like to say that I have been a client of perceptions for about 5 years. I have seen many of the staff come and go , when I walk in , they know me by name . They have always been wonderful friendly and professional. I happen to be sitting in the lobby when a client came in and was clearly late and agitated. There was an exchange that I am not very familiar between her and the front desk Vita. Vita is very soft spoken very polite and always has a smile on her face. I have dealt with her few times. All I know is the customer in question happen to be loud and very aggressive and very belligerent . She made threats and hand gestures. She escalated the situation and finally the manager had in intervene. The customer started to write a review and read it out loud to hear for everyone in the lobby. I got called by the nurse for my service . This prompted me to write this review. What you read sometimes is not what the truth. I was a witness .
