Everything you want or need on the food side. Local specialties, American too. We had enchiladas and a meat burrito. The enchiladas were excellent as was the red sauce. Very nice service and clean bathrooms.

Biscuits and gravy were awesome.

First of all, the service was impeccable. My waitress was so sweet and gave me excellent suggestions, so I opted for the biscuits and gravy since I was starving-I still could only eat one of them: flaky, buttery and delicious with a creamy sausage gravy that was also spot on. The side of bacon I ordered was also perfection, and the offer strong and dark, just the way I like it. I decided to order a cheese enchilada to go for dinner as I wanted to taste their red chile, which again, had a great flavor with just enough spice to leave my lips tingling after each bite. The beans and rice were good too. I had often passed this place, eyeing its colorful patio that looks like the ideal spot for a margarita. I will be back to try more of their New Mexican dishes.

Good service, seat your self. Food came out quickly. They offer outside dining and indoor. Lots of room for groups. Food was very good with good flavor and portions. Sopapilla were large, probably a 10" square folded corner to corner. Highly recommend.

We love this restaurant. Nice drive, delicious food, great service. Nice dining area. I love the tacos. We had a fabulous time in the area.

We came to the area for roasted Hatch before the festival. We had to stop in for lunch here as Anthony Bourdain did say the Enchilada sauce was the best. When we walked it we were greeted immediately told to sit where we want. I love the oil cloth covered tables, and old Mexico decor. Nothing fancy yet cozy like I'm at someone's home. Everything on the menu emphasized the beautiful Hatch. I ordered the Enchiladas one with red sauce one with green which came with rice and beans. My hubby ordered a Combo plate that was unbelievably large, and beautiful. I wish we took photos of the food, but after eating the salsa that was unlike any salsa I have ever had...just couldn't. The flavors of the sauce were remarkable as if a lovely Grandmother is in the kitchen cooking her special dishes. There is no hard alcohol. I don't know about beer or wine as they are open until 3:00 pm. We had giant glasses of water because the spice was so smooth, and addictive you can't stop eating.

Hatch has a variety of great restaurants...but glad we picked this one. The menu is chock full of options touting the red and green peppers and sauces the area is known for. Fast, friendly service and the food was spot on. Dining outside allows dogs.

I looked up Pepper Pot just to see if they were still in business. As I had the pleasure of going there before. Reading the reviews, I get it. Locals are treated better, big deal. Servers having a bad day, it happens. Life is life, and sometimes a toss of the dice. I still plan on returning, when I can. I simply loved their menudo. Delicioso. If things do not work out, Se la vie. Hatch Chilies are the best in my opinion. Peace.

This place is so cute! Indoor and outdoor seating, very reasonably priced and delicious breakfast (both American and Mexican style). Food came out quickly. It's a great stop for anyone traveling between las cruces and ABQ along the 25.

Very welcoming host and service. We sat outside on the patio, the weather was beautiful and windy. The salsa is delicious and perfectly spicy. We ordered pepper pot burritos, it was good, flavorful and spicy. Not my all time favorite Mexican food but I'm glad we stopped here. Cute town.

Very generous portions of delicious Mexican food. Their chips and homemade salsa is very tasty. I had the chili rellenos with cheese. Very very good. Definitely going back when I'm in Hatch

Great service, lovely staff, lively atmosphere with lots of locals, and amazing food. I loved the crispy onion rings and the green chili cheeseburger when I am visiting Hatch, NM. The combination plate was enjoyed by my husband since you get a variety of food but the taco was my favorite! Highly recommend giving this place the locals love a try!

Nice little place to stop in Hatch. The service was good and the food was yummy. A large menu . We ordered the combo plate so we could taste a few different things. They serve chips and salsa at the table The chili relleno was pan fried and not too hot. The cheese enchilada were good and also had a beef taco. Very generous portions and we didn't leave hungry! They also have a great looking cheeseburger a fries . Fun place!

Plenty of shade on the patio

I had the chiles rellenos Christmas style with rice and beans. Absolutely delicious and an excellent example of how to use Hatch chiles.

Average place, green chili was good but placed on top of factory tortillas, not much seemed homemade.

Delicious food! It's a hole in the wall place with actually spicy green chile, which we prefer.

The historic restaurant really shines where it counts -- fantastic food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. The host was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in for lunch, and our server offered great suggestions from the menu -- which features a wide variety of Mexican, New Mexican, and breakfast fare. I decided to get the Sopaipilla Compuesta ($15), a pair of sopaipillas topped with red and green chile. It was packed with authentic, rich flavor and made for an incredibly delicious and filling dish. My dining companion enjoyed the Veggie Omelette ($14), which was equally well-prepared, fresh, and portioned generously. If you are looking for authentic homestyle New Mexican cooking steeped in local history, La Nueva Casita Cafe is an absolute must-visit in Las Cruces!

Some of the best Mexican food east of California!…read more Great quality and great prices. We stop here every time we cross the country. Just a few blocks away from the freeway with plenty of parking.

Short background, as I understand it,... Si Senor restaurants, located in Las Cruces, Deming, and…read moreChandler, are independently owned by different members of the Castillo family (so they are not owned by the same people.... just members of the same family). This includes two Si Senors, and Si Senor Express in Las Cruces, one location in Deming, and one location in Chandler, AZ. I've been to all five. Each location offers a different level of quality, of basically the same menu (some more than others). I have reviewed the other four in their own separate reviews here on Yelp. (HINT: My favorite locations are the Lohman in LC, and the one in Chandler. I used to like the Express, but they have cut corners too much, including slicing their stuffed sopaipillas in half to only include the top portion of the pastry). The Deming location is perhaps the second least favorite of the author of this review (leaving their White Sage Ct one for last). To start with, the service was excellent. Not sure, but it seemed that family members of the owner were waiting tables and working the register. They were on point, and were doing a good job, never idle, always cleaning or preparing for the morning crowd. The food, however, wasn't up to par with the other restaurants. Ok, so maybe better than some other restaurants, just not the family's other ones... The prices at all locations are different. The Deming prices are very reasonable, and a big factor as to why we stopped here on our recent trip through Deming. The dish I ordered was to have been smothered in green chile and cheese. There was about a tablespoon of cheese, and maybe 1/8 C of chopped chile. The other thing was their weird tasting sopaipillas. Not bad, just weird. They had a hint of vanilla flavoring, making them sweet and donut like tasting. Which is ok if you have some for desert, and actually good. But I usually don't. I use them to scoop up my plate. But also, makes for some weird tasting stuffed sopaipillas. One thing of note, is that the LC and, if I recall correctly, the Chandler location, has the four 1/4 C salsas; a red, green, cream cheese and green chile, chorizo and bean. Here, there was just the one, the red, which made us sad, but it was different than the red included at the other restaurants, it was much BETTER! Really tdf. The chips were house made and really crunchy, which I like. 5 stars on the salsa and chips! Overall, would we eat here again? Sure. The price is right, the staff are spot on, and the salsa is excellent. I'll just order something else next time. They do have an "American food" portion to their menu. May be worth a try...?
