Went in on a Sunday morning the Server did good morning and that we could seat anywhere. Service was excellent and food came out quickly and hot. We both had Christmas Huevos Ranchers was delicious! I usually prefer red sauce but their green chile was amazing. A must stop when you're traveling on I-10 through Deming NM.

This is for all my traveling friends blazing along I-10 in New Mexico. Exit right now to Deming and go to Irma's Mexican. What a lovely find this was. True New Mexico style mexican cooking. We had enchiladas and burritos and I wouldn't change a thing. This will be a regular stop on our Tucson to Austin drives. Reasonably priced, nice wait staff and a great bit of home style cooking. Pass by and ignore any negative reviews this place does a good job.

The service was very good. The food was good. All in my party enjoyed their meals. I wrote on one of the photos that when I ordered flautas they gave me corn tortillas. I'm from California and flautas are flour tortillas but I guess they are really differentiated by the size of the tortilla. They were definitely good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Parrilladas for 2 - FYI- I had already begun enjoying the meal.

We stopped here for early dinner on the way to the west coast and will for sure stop when traveling thru again. Adriana was so friendly and courteous during our time there. The Parrilladas for 2 was amazing. There was plenty of food and it was delicious. The fajita meat, cheese, corn tortillas with avocado and grilled onions were served on a dish -which was shaped like a fish- warmed by a sterno. In addition you are served a baked potato with plenty of butter each and a bowl of the delicious charro beans made with hatch chili. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has room for large groups and parking is on city street.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a must place to stop and eat !!

We asked a local person where should we have brunch and without hesitation they said go to Irma's. So we pulled up and went inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a delightful restaurant with bright colors and such a welcoming feel from the moment you step inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a warning that we'd be a bit on peak times, 30 minutes, and they was the case as every table was full. I took that as a great sign. If people are lining out the door, it must be great. We were given chips, amazing salsa and drinks quickly. And then they took our order shortly after. My food was hot and so tasty, it felt like it was slow cooked with all old family recipes. I got a sample plate with green chili and enchalada and taco, beans, rice and it was a huge plate so filling. I loved the salsa so much they sold me a huge cup on the side to bring home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you can make the time, this is a great place to sit, eat and relax. They even had a TV so hubs could catch the football game. It wasn't distracting, just a nice convenience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Will return next time I'm through town, and I've already recommended to friends.

    Steak quesadilla to go

I love mom and pop style Mexican restaurants and I was excited when I came across this one as we were passing through Deming. We called in an order for pick up and took it with us to the Walmart parking lot while we charged our truck. For ease of eating on the go, I decided on a steak quesadilla instead of my usual Mexican order of enchiladas. The quesadilla was delicious! Looking at the photos of the rice convinced me to get an order of it on the side as it's the perfect definition of what Mexican rice is supposed to be. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd love to eat in restaurant here but we're only ever passing through Deming at Christmas with our pups on our way from Albuquerque to San Diego so I'm not sure it'll happen but I'd be happy to pick up food to go still.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

He ordered the flutas 2 chicken and one beef with beans and rice and it came with side of sour cream & guacamole and I ordered the steak Tacos Mexican street style...I ordered tea and he got a Budweiser The food was very bland but we ate it. Best Mexican food in Deming, maybe anywhere. If you ask you can get green Chile for your chips instead of or with their regular salsa. Yum.

There's a small u shaped bar seating and larger dining areas on either side . I noticed a couple of ribbons on the counter and he mentioned his salsa , red chili snd BBQ has won local awards . He brought out a complimentary basket of chips and green Hatch chili salsa to start . Oh boy! This was the best salsa! Tasty with a kick but not too spicy . My daughter scooped up every last bit. He suggested the special burrito. ($13?) I took his advise and got it . It was humongous! Definitely enough to share . My daughter wanted the salmon dinner which was standard fare so, she helped me eat my burrito instead . My burrito was way better . It had everything but the kitchen sink in it . Sooo good . Even though we ate until we were full , we still had 1/2 a burrito left! (Ate the rest for breakfast the next day !) Glad we found this gem driving through on our road trip. * The owners Hatch chili salsa should be sold in jars !

We are so happy he found this gem! I ordered the cheese Christmas enchiladas plate, my husband ordered the build-your-own taco plate, and the kids ordered burritos. Everything was absolutely delicious! The green enchiladas were my favorite--the sauce was creamy, rich, and incredibly flavorful. I can definitely see why these enchiladas have earned such a great reputation. The tacos were completely decimated in our family...not a single bite was left! From the delicious food to the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere, this was one of our favorite meals of the trip. We'll absolutely be back the next time our road trips bring us to Texas. HIGHLY recommend!

Our waiter, Chase, quickly came to our table to offer us drinks. Chase was very attentive throughout the entire meal. He brought our food out quickly and checked on us as we ate to ensure we were not lacking anything. Excellent service!! Now for the food... The small bowl of chips didn't have a chance to empty before Chase brought another bowl (without us having to ask). We loved the salsa bar where we were able to select the salsas that we wanted to try. We chose the traditional, jalapeño and tomatillo, pico de galio, and chipotle. We agreed that all of them were delicious. My husband had the fish tacos. The serving size was great!! He would have preferred grilled fish rather than the breaded and fried fish; but all-in-all he said it was good. (For non-fish eaters like myself, the fish smell was quite strong and overpowered the smells of the rest of our meals). My daughter got the Monster build your own burrito with chicken. She loved it and said the grilled chicken was delicious!!! My daughter's boyfriend had the chicken enchiladas Christmas (green and red sauces for those who may not be familiar). He loved it! Like my daughter, he too enjoyed the grilled chicken that came in his enchiladas. I had the cheese enchiladas Christmas with 2 fried eggs and sauce on the side. The sauces were both delicious!!!! Everyone at the table enjoyed tasting the green sauce which had a creamy and cheesy consistency with the perfect amount of green chilies and heat. The red sauce was a traditional New Mexico red enchilada sauce with exactly the right amount of heat. My single complaint about my meal is that I could have counted the number of cheese shred pieces between each tortilla of the enchiladas. All of us liked the refried beans and Spanish rice that came with our meals.

Not sure if I believed any of those reasons but I ordered food to go because of the Yelp. After looking into the New Mexico restaurant liability insurance explanation, I now know that this place just flat out doesn't like dogs anywhere. I feel like "dog friendly" should be another option on Yelp since so many people now travel with their pets. I should have left because it was very hot and windy and the owners were extremely rude but, against my husbands wishes, I ordered to go based on the food reviews and also based on nostalgia (because the location was the exact location for great Mexican food in the 1980's. Now to the food: I ordered the large combo. It was good but not the best New Mexico Mexican food. The cheese enchiladas were okay. The taco was not crispy, probably because it was squeezed into a styrofoam container, and was made with hamburger meat. I was hoping for shredded beef. Oh well. The chile relleno was good, not the best. Overall, the food was good but I've had better. The green chile sauce was better than good. I honestly think that if we had been allowed to dine outdoors on the premises, the food would have been served on a bigger plate and I would have been able to distinguish what I was eating better. Would I eat here again...that's a big fat nope. Nor would they want me to, probably. The owner(s) were rude. The food was mediocre at best.
