Stopped in to pick up food to go for the family. The young girl behind counter was nice but it was the end of day, ready for the day to be over. Seating inside and outside too. Colorful Mexican art vibe. My chile relleno burrito was good, I had them add ground beef to mine. The portions were somewhat small, maybe it's a California thing? Tacos Mirasol is an unpretentious ethnic Mexican street food restaurant. Yes you can eat-in if there's a table open. My 3 carne asada tacos (for around $10) were just the right amount of crispy grilled beef with cilantro and hot sauce to get me to Los Angeles. This is not fancy food but it is several grades above over-processed fast food. We managed to walk in just minutes before they closed and our fivesome somehow showed up along with two other parties of four. I can imagine being a tired employee, watching the clock, thinking "Just a few minutes more.." and then seeing 13 people walk in. Agggg But they were kind and patient and hustled and a few minutes later all 13 of us were being silently satisfied by their delicious food. The place will never win points for style. I am disappointed to see that this place didn't make it onto the Top 100 Tacos list. I traveled the country full-time for 6 years and tried the best rated tacos everywhere I went, and I never found a place better than Tacos Mirasol. They have the best tacos in the country, hands down. I have been numerous times, and they are always top notch. I have had the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and Carnitas. They are all so incredible! I am also a huge fan of their horchata, and I have heard that their lemonade is legendary (though I have not had it). If you are anywhere even remotely nearby, you need to go to Tacos Mirasol and get yourself some perfect tacos. read more

I always love checking out hole in a wall places and Tacos Mirasol was one I'm definitely glad I went. The place is not upscale by any means. In fact, if you look at it from outside from the street, you probably can't really tell how great of a restaurant this place was. The place looks a little rundown from outside..but once inside and having the food, you will realize it's simply one of a hole in a wall charm that locals and visitors on a roadtrip should just stop by. Everything is affordable and there is no formal table services here. Once you get in, you line up at a counter and order, pay, grab a seat and someone will bring out your food. I got a few shrimp and fish tacos (somehow not on the board above the counter..but I asked anyways since I saw a printed menu in a photo before checking the place out) along with a glass of fresh lemonada. You can choose how many tacos/types of meat you want. The total price was affordable..I believe it was less than $10 for me for a scrumptious meal, too! The food came out fast..and they also gave you complementary chips+salsa (how kind!). It's such a no frills place...and definitely a local's spot. I love how fresh and how non-sluggish I feel after eating the food. Usually I avoid Mexican/New MExican food because I often feel like I have to climb into a bed and nap after a heavy meal...but this one here at Tacos Mirasol wasn't so! I felt great and felt the food was made fresh + tasty as a bonus, too! Check this affordable tacos place out whether you are a local or someone on a roadtrip passing by this area! My husband and I live in Tucson and our travels brought us here because our daughter ate here last year during her travels and said we had to try it! We were the first customers on a Thursday morning - My husband got the #2 Ground beef. And I got the number six ground beef. His overall rating is 4.7: Highlights were the enchilada sauce, different from what you get in Tucson, no complaints! I gave it 4.2 - the beef was good but lacked individual seasoning, the rice and beans excellent! Service was fine! Price is good. What detracted was the chips were not even so-so, the salsa was hot spice wise, but not a lot of flavor... Too spicy for me. Any Place is a "hole in the wall" but clean and tidy! We were stopping through for gas and food on our way back to the west coast and decided to stop in Deming and give this place a try. What a gem! So glad we did! We're used to good Mexican food being from Southern California--Tacos Mirasol was on par (and even better!) than some of our favorite taco places in California. It was sooo good! Everything--the tacos, beans and rice, chips and salsa, home made hot sauces, customer service, prices--it's all there! This place is the real deal. Would highly recommend. We stopped there on our way to visit City of Rocks. I ordered and was told 5-10 min. After waiting and seeing customers come and go, I asked how much longer, and was told there were orders ahead of me. It's now 25 min later and if I hadn't paid already, I would've left. The best tacos in Deming. I mean no offense to the other wonderful Mexican Restaurants in Deming but Tacos Mirasol has the best tacos and lemonade. I always order the shredded brisket tacos - sometimes individually and sometimes in the plate which comes with rice and beans. I also love love love the lemonade; as many reviewers have noted it is made fresh. It can be a little sour for me so I take it home and add a little water in a larger glass. The salsa that comes with the tacos is delicious and unique, worth visiting just to try it. The restaurant itself is small inside and lots of people order take out. Regarding the space there are probably 4 tables with 4 seats and lots of room at the bar to sit. Recently, I visited to eat there and changed my mind due to availability of seating. However, I like the taco stand aspect of Tacos Marisol - I would hesitate to suggest they build a larger location. The pricing is very reasonable. The parking is complicated. You may have to park behind the building so if it's raining come prepared (don't worry rain is not a common occurrence in southern New Mexico). You will have to walk around the building through a dirt lot. If you are a local and have not visited Tacos Marisol - you are missing out. If you are driving through Tacos Marisol is the best for an authentic and truly delicious taco. read more

What a gem! I took a rest break in Deming on my way across the state and I'm so glad I happened to stop at Tacos Mirasol. I ordered two carne asada and two al pastor tacos and the bill was less than $10. Heads up - they only were accepting cash the day I ate here. The food took a couple minutes but that was because it was freshly prepared to order. The tortillas were lightly grilled and the meat was juicy and well seasoned. The red salsa went great on the asada tacos. I was in heaven. Friendly staff and a clean restroom plus the delicious food are all reasons I will come back next time I'm in town. read more

I was extremely happy that this place was open. Although they were closing in 30 minutes, we we're warmly greeted with chips and some dynamite salsa. It's a small place which I find delightful. Stopped int he town of Deming New Mexico for the night on my way across country. This was the only place open at 9pm. It is very authentic when it comes to Mexican food. The portions are huge and the prices are low. I had the chili relinos. Wow. These were fresh and good. Also had the mixed platter which included 5 different offerings. All for 9 bucks! It was fresh, tasty and wonderful. They serve up the usual chips and salsa. But this is fresh and spicy salsa. You can taste the difference. ALso ordered the large Limonade. They make it fresh when you order. For only $2.50 it had to be one of the best drinks to have with spicy food. It was not sweet. It was not tart. I loved it. I must admit, I hope to drive across country one day soon. I am definitely spending the night in Deming just to eat here. It is a great family run place. read more

Taco Mirasol has a large menu with standard Mexican fare. My husband and I both got a combo plate. He had 3 beef enchiladas with rice and beans and I had 3 carne asada tacos with rice and beans. They bring complimentary chips and salsa. Be warned, the salsa is quite spicy but very good. The meals had large portions, more than we could eat. The two entrees and 2 cans of soda came to around $24. We enjoyed the meals and would return if we are back in this area. The restaurant is close to downtown and is very clean and nicely decorated. We got carne asada, barbacoa, and chicken tacos as well as horchata. The tacos were street taco sized. The corn tortillas had a nice crisp to them. The barbacoa tacos were the fan favorite, and they are the reason that I'm writing a review in the first place! The carne asada tacos were also very tasty.
