Purchased a battery November 2022. I was in San Antonio and my battery went dead. (Not even two years old). Lexus sent someone to jump my battery. The man told me that I had the wrong battery for my car. I drove to a Pep Boys and purchased a new battery. The man at Pep Boys shook his head and agreed that I had the wrong battery. I feel ripped off and concerned as a woman I don't like being stranded. I expect that the person installing the battery not take advantage of me. I have all the paperwork to back my claim. read more

After realizing that one of my tail lights was out, this Pep Boys was the first auto parts store I saw so I decided to go in and ask them for some help. I wish I hadn't because the man helping me didn't seem like he wanted to be there. He was trying to sell me a light which "may or may not fit your CR-V" as he said AND then they wanted me to wait 30 minutes to an hour to just get the light replaced. I can't say enough good things about the gentlemen who helped me out at this location. Randy is such a brilliant mechanic! He was able to diagnose & fix a brake issue when another mechanic I hired prior could not. I am from Tucson Az. An needed some repair don't. On my wife's 93 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4 K2500 3/4 ton with a 454 BBC . place it this way these guys went out of there way by calling other auto shops to get my part. They were friendly an my wife's truck ran even better . they let me know evey step of the way whats going on an showed me every detail what's up. Truck made it back to az 1200 miles. They fixed my car in a timely manner, however they broke one of the emblems on my car and then refused to admit fault even though it was attached upon arrival. I would not trust them again with my car, seems very unprofessional to break something and then not offer to comp me for it. Would not go back again and would not recommend to others. read more

I have to give them two stars because even though they "fixed" my leaking radiator hose, my car is still overheating. I've taken it back there TWICE and the next occasion would've made a third time, however, I'll just cut my losses and do business with better mechanics. This place is horrible I went in for a routine oil change which they said they did after a simple inspection they never changed the oil. After I complained they changed the oil but put the oil filter in the wrong way which I don't even know how is possible. Then after I took my vehicle home and sensors were going off they said they would have to order parts and wouldn't be able to fix it they also took the bottom strip off the door of my van I had to take my car to firestone to fix the oil change and now all the managers don't return my phone calls. read more

Pep boys does not warrant their tires. Instead they warrant the customer. That is so wrong.

If you have a fleet account you are the absolute last priority. Absolutely no customer service or honesty from the guys at this place.
