I came by on a Sunday. After finding two other places closed on my quest for an oil change I came into this store with no appointment. They were booked up so I was set to try another day. No need though. The assistant manager said if I was willing to have the oil change take a little longer (15 minutes) they would happily squeeze me in. Woohoo. I was willing to wait, no worries. I have a new car which is only a problem because of course the needed information was not in the computer. That all worked out well and we actually made it out of there in a very reasonable amount of time, and we didn't have a longer wait. We brought another of our cars in a couple days later. I requested a service I thought I might need. When the manager saw the work order and when it was determined the service was not necessary he advised me not to waste money on it. On the Fourth of July we were on our way to the Anacortes ferry terminal, and they were one of the few places open on the fourth and we just so happened to get a flat 3 miles away and they took us in even though they were slammed for the 4th and spent 30 min on us immediately and prioritized us and left. Made traveling with a 2 and 4 year old totally worth it an they cake through like super hero's !!!!! I'd go again and again if we lived close . read more

The manager at this store treated me like garbage. I bought tires from them a few months ago but didn't get their extra roadside insurance plan. When my new tire with basically no wear and tear literally separated from my rim on the freeway and I almost died, they said "that's what happens when you drive over things like nails ma'am." There's no puncture or anything, just clean total separation from the rim. I said it must have been a manufacturers error because this is obviously a defect and he still was incredibly rude and kept trying to blow me off. On top of it all they couldn't even find my order in their computer systems. Never go here. They will lose your information and treat you badly. read more

Walked into the store with one other customer whose car was already being worked on. The guy at the counter who was less than 2 feet away had his face buried in the computer. I waited for 5 minutes, and he never acknowledged i was there. Walked around the store and back to the counter...he is still buried on the computer. Dropped my keys on the counter, nothing. Said HUH rather loudly....nothing. Walked out of the store and left. NEVER going back to that one!!! We're a touring band and deal with greedy and rude mechanics all the time with van troubles but I'm so glad we found this place. The entire staff was super nice and fixed the electrical issues we were having with our van and trailer for a great price and even put on our spare tire on for us for free! Totally recommend this place, they'll even let you skate behind the building! read more

I will never take a car to this place again. We had a am appointment for Saturday and it is now Sunday at 4 ( they are closed) and we still do not have our car back. We had to call them 3 times Saturday to get any information about what was going on. Then they needed more time to check out the A/C issue so we left it there for them for Sunday. My hubby called them at 330 and was told they would call us back in a few minutes and no call was received. He uses this car for work which now we wont have for tomorrow and all his work gear is in the car. When you have an appointment that when your car should be worked on not 5 hours after and into the next day. Absolutely Ridiculous. read more

Horrible service by far took in my car and they checked out my tire, after saying that they were finish I realized the next day it was still leaking and on top of that they lost my tire valve cover, they didn't even say anything about it and put a cheap one on. Honestly that's unprofessional! Will be going back to get the problem fixed but I don't think I will be going again after that! read more

False advertising, liars! My tire blew out in Everett & against my gut i let a friend book my an appointment at Pep Boys instead of Les Schwab or Discount. The first weird thing was they told me about a special ordering fee for my rare tires; my car is nearly30, but does not normally require special antique handling. When I got there (after they were aware I was coming & I agreed to the silly rare tire fee) I had to wait forever before being acknowledged, they were rude about where to park, & the overall feeling was that I was a total hassle for them. When I was finally able to have my car serviced, I was told all 4 tires would need to be changed; I explained that the tires were less than a year old that's why the blowout was a shock. The salesman was rude and said they'd already ordered these rare tires x4 and that if I didn't buy the set thean basically I was SOL & they would not service my car. I bought all 4, it was late & the car was already tireless, grrrr. I specifically asked what their service covered, etc. I was told that the warranty covered the life of the tire. I was there for hours as they serviced good ol boy repeat customers that just walked in before finishing my car. The guy talked to a friend that dropped in during ringing me out, not even a thank you or please come again. A week later one tire was flat so I called & was told that new tires need time to settle- news to me (not my 1st tire buying experience, just the worst.), so Les Schwab put air in & told me that was not normal/ok. I called back and the guy on the phone said "Oh, so your a tire expert then?" and refused to make an appointment to exchange the tire. After a few more weeks of weekly air filling, at $1.25 a shot, I called back only to be told that I need to read my warranty because they don't "cover my inability to keep the tire properly inflated.". I called again @90 days then at a year, same deal. It's now over a year and the tire now needs to be filled daily so I need to buy a new one because Pep Boys DOES NOT stand behind the life of the tire. After buying 3 tires that I did not need I feel cheated & ripped off. I will replace Pep Boy's shoddy work w/a tire from anywhere else! I would do no stars if that was an option! read more

Definitely not a place ill ever go again. Walked in to get my tires mounted and balanced but not a single worker came to ask if i needed help. One customer was sitting in the room waiting for his car. Walked to the shop and around the front still nothing. 15minutes later i start my truck and start driving off and all i got was a guy looking up for a second then back down. I was able to get in a last minute appointment and just in time for the snow storm that hit our area. Ryan was personable and took great care of my car. I had goodies in the back for a potluck and my suit jacket in which he made sure my tires were out of the way of those important items. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon when all the other tire places were closed. Even though they were slammed, Terry was able to get me in, get a nail out of my tire, fill it and send me on my way. The tire wasn't leaking any air, so he didn't charge me for the service. On top of that, he was very kind to my two kids and even gave them a fruit snack out of his own lunch. It's nearly impossible to find service like this anymore. They've got a loyal new customer! read more

I don't know how much they spend on keeping customers. But after getting my tires balanced my center cap is missing. When I go to ask about it they have to walk around the truck and when he See's the missing cap he remembers that it was gone when I got there. I have had good luck there before but when I get lied to,I just find another place to get work done. read more

Been a Pep Boys customer for a few years. Use to have older employees behind the counter and working on your vehicle who were good at customer service and troubleshooting problems. This year 2014, took my Chevy pickup in for new tires. Upon lifting the truck the mechanic and I notice the calipers leaking. So got a new rear break job on top the new tires. I left the truck there at 3 pm and it wasn't till 630 pm I was able to drive it home. After driving the truck the next day I noticed my truck didn't stop as it should. The peddle would go down half way to the floor and extra weight on the peddle was required to get the vehicle to stop. Stopped by the shop, talked to the mechanic and he said Chevy breaks were spongy. After a month, because its a secondary vehicle, I made an appointment to have them check out the break adjustment and the bleeding of the breaks. After a 2:45 appointment I was left sitting there till 4 and everyone else who didn't have warranty work was placed ahead of me. When I was getting my tires changed. It took there mechanics .5 hours to change the tires and the break specialist 3 hours to change the rear break pads and the truck hardly stops. Then upon bringing it back I was told a lift was down which you don't need to bleed your breaks... Since the old guys are gone, these guys are only capable of changing tires. Do not bring your vehicle here for anything else!!! read more

These guys are the worst! They were three days late getting the tires they promised to order for me. They had me back my boat trailer behind the building, only to change their minds and had me re-park it in front. I had asked them to balance the tires. They did not! They left one of my stud bots out, said it fell out in their hand but never returned the bolt. Two of the four tires went flat in my garage two days later. When I took the tires to Firestone to get them fixed, the bead on the wheel was totally rusted. They did not bother to even take a brush to it before mounting the new tires. They put black rubber stems in my chrome wheels. When a brought all this to their attention they were nothing short of rude. This place should be your absolute last choice for tires! read more

First off, let me say I have not only had a HORRIBLE experience with one PEP BOYS, but with upwards of a half dozen stores all the way from the Midwest to the west coast. Every single location was an awful experience, only to be exceeded every time by a WORSE experience at any additional PEP BOYS location. Let me begin with my experience in Indiana, where a simple break job turned into 4 visits, with damaged rims, lugs and shotty break work, which eventually failed driving through California, causing them to fail driving up and down steep mountains. Upon my visit to the California location, they informed me that they found various parts of the breaks were never hooked up properly and those loose parts got lodged between the breaks themselves, locking them up. I was also told, that there were parts, that I had previously paid for, that were never even installed. The California location ALLEGEDLY "fixed" the problem only for the breaks to go out AGAIN as I drove through the Cascade Mountains, coming into Washington State. In Washington, I took it to the Everett location, where they allegedly "fixed" the problem, telling me that a couple springs came loose, so they "replaced" the entire hardware kit, which ended up going out a month later... AGAIN. Now, having been at the stores over a half dozen times, I went to the PEP BOYS location in Marysville, WA, hoping to start fresh and rid myself of any future terrible experiences, and to save you (as the reader) time, let me just say that this ISSUE has reoccurred 6 plus ADDITIONAL times, making my visits to PEP BOYS add up to something in the mid-teens. I have spoken with the general and regional managers, I have also called the corporate office several times, being promised a call from the Vice President of the company, who has yet to speak with me about resolving the issue. Everything to do with my experience at PEP BOYS has been a SICKENING expense to me and I'm writing this now after waiting more than a week for someone to resolve this problem, which only reflects the POOR quality of their customer service and their LACK of empathy, urgency or even practical sense of resolution at my request for a refund at this point is DISGUSTING. So, according to the customer relations line, I must wait ANOTHER 24-48 hours, at which point, they may or may not contact me, because it's been 5 days since I was initially promised a call. I would highly recommend that NO ONE EVER comes here, regardless of age or experience. Nor would I consider this company anything more than another COLD-NATURED franchise that just wants your money and doesn't care about the customer. Considering my experiences throughout the country, at each location with BAD customer care and multiple DAMAGES to my vehicle, I would think this is enough validation for you to consider NEVER coming or sending anyone to PEP BOYS. Not to mention, my vehicle is currently at a premium dealership, telling me now, that the majority of the things that Pep Boys had done were installed IMPROPERLY and need to be replaced entirely. read more

I dropped my truck off for two new tires after calling and setting up an apt. i had to take time off work to do this, when i got back to work they called me back saying they did not have the tires in stock and would have to order and would be a week out... i took time off work again to go get my truck. the next week i went and had the tires installed and an alignment. I don't think they did anything to the truck for alignment. the truck drives even worse now (before it wasn't bad just tire wear issues) now i cant even drive it down I-5 without it veering from lane to lane on its own.... will not recommend this place. read more
