my jeep was running hot and took it in. they said it needed a radiator cap. I picked in up 3 miles don't the road it wasn't running hot it overheated and damaged the engine. called the store and the person said with an attitude that "I don't fix them" I called corp and no call back just a broken jeep. they also did the oil change and didn't reset the light. I have no confidence that was done. I look forward to hearing how they will make this right. read more

Joe went far above and beyond. I was shocked that he took care of an issue that many other Pep boys gave me the run around over. Thank you for valuing my business and honoring my warranty - joes a stand up guy and I will come to Daphne Pep boys in the future when I need service read more

Great experience . I had the pleasure of working with ALEXANDER, and I can't express enough just how patient , knowledgeable , and helpful he was in finding the best option for my particular situation . Then he had to leave as his shift ended while we were in the middle of getting things figured out on my available options, well after that my man Joe the service manager ; stepped in and not only figured out and finalized the absolute best option , better than I could've asked for , but he just went above and beyond even that awesome situation that both he and Alexander created for my particulate issue , I know this is a long review , but theee guys were just true gentleman. Also, I might add, they were quite busy during all this and in particular the second half of this when Joe stepped in to help , he was running the place by himself . Thanks a million y'all are awesome thanks and God bless y'all! I wanted to add additional comments that I Almost forgot, not to anyone's fault but my own because all these guys certainly made. Memorable impression on me tonight. Kenny also was a gem He actually was a big part and helping us find the tire that we originally thought didn't exist after thinking it did exist so he came in with the clutch and he was just a great guy. Super knowledgeable super friendly, cool cat very happy to meet him and grateful for for his hard work. Then there's Chris young man's got white years of potential ahead of him. He's a young guy hustling around there doing work getting it done ,yes sir no sir ,hard to find that in his generation if I'm quite honest, not that I'm really old but I'll say that I got the pleasure of talking to him for a while too and he is a heck of a kid heck of a man really And he's going places they need to look at him for potential of moving him in some managerial position. Whenever time comes should he want that. If nothing else all these guys deserve a little bit of a raise I know Pep Boys has the money you wanna keep good employees pay a little bit more a little bit goes along way too. Things aren't cheap these days. You gotta keep good help around and if I was Pep Boys, I'd want to keep all these guys around. It certainly would improve their lives greatly, and affect Pep Boys, none if there is any of these guys pay all their pay but that's my two cents what do I know? I'm just a successful small business owner. Anyways, that's that it's a long review. Hope people read this and understand what the deal is now sometimes when you come in here they might be slammed. They might've had a bad day, so be patient that's with anywhere you go understand that they've got a lot of things that tie hands up and all they wanna do is get the best thing for you, so if you need to have some get some patience, but most likely you won't run any situations where you'll need those cause these guys will certainly take care of y'all. Peace and love to all, be goor to each other and yourselves. read more

Excellent, fast service on my oil change and tire rotation and the price was the cheapest I've ever paid for this type of service! Friendly staff. I highly recommend! read more

I have used them several times since moving to the area, that have always been able to fit me in that day. Purchased some tires online and they were the only reasonable shop in town that would install them. Needed an alignment and they had it done within 45mins. Nice bunch of people running and working in the shop. They did have a car ahead of me that they we're having an issue with so the guy came and explained that as soon as they could get the car done they would start mine, I noticed that as they we're working together on the car when he had free time he would start prepping my truck so they could get done faster. read more

Never seen four mechanics sit and stand around and do absolutely nothing but talk to each other while customers wait. Until this. Literally every mechanic. The manager walked through some bushes to a car dealership next door and was over there pretty much the whole hour we sat there watching no cars get worked on. Finally we got out of our vehicle and stood behind the truck we had dropped off for new tires. When they saw us staring at our truck up in the rack they came out, said not a word, spent five minutes lugging the tires on, and then everyone stopped working again and went inside to ring up the bill. And then of course the bill was $100 more than quoted on the phone. Won't be back. read more

Cody is AHmazing! I've been in for a couple services over that past year and he has helped me with all of them every time!

Very obviously short staffed. Currently have been waiting 3 hours to get new tires even though I had an appointment. The staff are very friendly, but they definitely need to hire more people. While waiting for my car in the lobby I've heard them say multiple times to people coming in that it will take hours to get to them. You could probably go to a different Auto care center and it be less time waiting and cheaper. read more

TL;DR unless your car is super easy or you can afford an extended vacation in glorious Daphne, AL - GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Car lost its mind on i10, on a Sunday. Limped into town and called a wrecker, only place open was pep boys. Checked into a motel, because general consensus is water pump, and that's easy enough. Three days later they admit it's more than just the water pump and they can't find the parts (apparently I left the water pump pulley on i10). I find a Suzuki parts warehouse online, that's still open, in 10 minutes. I pay to overnight it. Mind you, if they'd looked on the internet Monday, or just told me Monday, it would have been there in the same time without anyone paying for overnight shipping! Anyway, Thursday it sits. Friday part gets there. Saturday I'm calling - remember, I'm still staying in a motel? Saturday they are telling me that they broke the gasket (were they really going to try and reuse a gasket??) and had to order another one, that would be there for 5. I know there is no way they are going to put my car back together in two hours, so another wad of cash out the window for the motel. Sunday my car is ready, but the ac is blowing hot. They tell me I need a new ac compressor. I call a Lyft, pay $12xx for my car and get the hell out of town. Back home in New Orleans, the Freon is over full. There's nothing wrong with my compressor. One star for whoever came clean when he talked to a man, and opened the door to me finding my own part. And even though he was possibly trying to gouge me for another $12xx for an ac compressor I didn't need, Kenny was calm and rational and explained things clearly, and in the end, he did get my car running again. Water pump Water pump drive belt Drive belt tensioner Serpentine belt O ring Labor $35 for misc shop supplies and $147.73 for a limited labor warranty is just icing on the $1252.58 cake. If I was local, I probably would have given them 4 stars. If they would have been honest and said they didn't know what they were doing, or let me know they couldn't find the part on Monday, I would have rented a car, got on with my life, and still given them 4 stars. Stalling me for 3 days, wasting a day for the part to ship, and then wasting another day because somebody broke a gasket at $63/night? If I wasn't a teacher with room on the credit card, I'd be fired and homeless, because that grand total is a month of rent and bills. read more

Just a wonderful experience... Saved my bacon! Lee and Matt are over the top customer oriented in the work outcome was awesome!

been here for over 1 and half hours counter guy sucks tire guy video chatting instead of changing my tire I do t recommend this place at all

Needed a flat tire changed out in a rush. The guys at his location, I believe they names are Lee and Matt, were awesome. Recommend stopping by if you need something minor done, they made time for me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Respect gets respect, I think people forget that when things are wrong with their car and they get frustrated, taking it out on the people there to help. read more

Terrible experience! Customer service and trading was definitely lacking. I will never bit another Pep Boys again!!

I really want to like Pep Boys because I can book them through Car Advise which saves me a lot of money... however I am yet to be anything but disappointed by the services preformed at this shop. Today they actually locked my husband out of his car and he was forced to call someone to come and unlock his doors (this cost us $65) - management offered no apology and became very hostile with me when I expressed my frustration with the issue. We took our car across the street to Express Oil and they did a great job as always (for just a few dollars more than we would have paid at Pep Boys) - (and with no surprise bills from the locksmith.) Express never disappoints! Prior to this my last visit at this location was for my own car and was a simple oil change and tire rotation. I left my car there and they were supposed to call when done ... they never called. I called several hours after my car should have been ready to pick up and after some confusion they told me it was done - I picked it up to find my service light was still on; I chose to believe they just didn't know how to reset it (though they obviously should) but frankly now can't help but believe they never even serviced my car. Don't go here. read more

Great experience all around! I usually shy away from auto stores as I'm not mechanically inclined and they could talk circles around me and I would have no clue...but we're semi-new to the area, needed some work done and I have no interest in going to a dealership. I brought my husband with me and let him do the talking. We went in for an oil change, seasonal maintenance and to have a "sound" looked into. We ended up needing a bit of work done. We knew it would take a good part of the day, so we dropped our van off at 7am and didn't wait. Les was more than helpful. He called us before doing any of the work and he was our point of contact all day. He is a very helpful, friendly, knowledgable man that gave me the feeling that whatever he found wrong with my van, he was going to make sure our kids and I were safe, without racking up unnecessary charges. He applied several discounts to help the final cost (and after coming home and price comparing parts and labor...our final cost was comparable to having gone anywhere else.) The only way we would have gotten it done cheaper would have been to do the labor ourselves, but there's no way...our wheel bearing was rusted on and took the mechanic 2 hours to get released! They also had the van ready by the end of the day. I can tell a positive difference in the way my van drives. It may have 171,000 Miles on it, but I feel safe in it and we will definitely be back! Les also made it a point to sign me up for their rewards program, which we qualified for rewards benefits due to the work we had done. We would have missed out if he wouldn't have said anything. Thank you Les! You have made me feel comfortable to return to your shop, without my husband as an interpreter...lol! read more

I will never go back. I went in for the first time and while I waited on an oil change and tire rotation (that took way longer than expected considering my car was taken in when I arrived, between an hour and a half to 2 hours) not one but TWO different people came in who'd had work done previously and were having issues. One person said he didn't believe the things had been done that he'd been told had been done to his vehicle, (and surely paid for) as it was still shaking. The other person said they had oil everywhere after driving a short distance. Though I don't know all the details of their experiences, I will say that the woman at the desk was less than friendly and I didn't even get a sticker showing when my oil was due to be changed again. This place seemed really shady and apathetic. The restroom was disgusting too. I only tried the place out because i was given a coupon, but never again. I'm very skeptical about what was and wasn't done to my car! I'm half expected a wheel to fall off while driving. read more
