    Light turns on after electrical grease is applied.

    Last week I discovered my passenger side low beam was not turning on. I assumed there was an issue with the bulb so I purchased an upgrade to help me see at night. This new light also did not power on. I there is no fuse for low beams on my truck and not much information online so I decided I was out of my depth and needed to bring it in The team at Fausak was straight forward upon our first interaction so they took my keys and I sat down to wait. Around 10-15 minutes later the man I checked in with came over and told me that the power canbus was faulty and that is why the light wouldn't turn on. I informed him that my previous bulb in that spot also would not come on. I asked if they could try powering the light outside of the car to see if that was indeed the case. I asked if they had any electrical grease they could use to make ensure the best possible connection. They told me that a regular halogen bulb they had in the shop worked fine on the connection and that they couldn't power the light without feeding power through the canbas which doesn't work. Charged me $63.75 for the diagnostic. I took the truck to home depot to get electrical grease, applied some and the light came right on and works without issue. Not sure why the mechanic decided to latch onto the idea that the hardware was bad and not explore any other possible solutions to my problem. It would have been easy to plug the light into the drivers side to see if it would come on but they decided not to do that. His conclusion almost sent me into a lengthy warranty process because he was not thorough and did not really listen to my questions/requests. Nice people but I would like to see more focus on solving the problem and less about upselling a new lightbulb.

    Don't waste your time going here either. Not if you have a nice vehicle. Take it to a reputable shop that knows what they are doing.

    Back in April of this year I took my wife's car to Christian brothers. I had the coils and spark…read moreplugs were placed with parts I had purchased from Ford. I understood that they would not warranty the parts themselves, but I did expect them to be installed properly. My wife's car had 103,000 miles on it at this point and within a month of Christian brothers replacing all the coils in spark plugs one of the coils burned out. I had a reputable mechanic replace it thinking it was just an oddity. Within a few more weeks 2 more coils were dying. My wife thought it might be transmission problems and took it to a reputable transmission shop they ran the OBD2 and it showed that the coils in a couple of cylinders were going bad. Within 10 minutes of that diagnosis my wife had the car to Christian brothers. at this point there ws 107,000mi on the car. She showed them OBD2 the report and they basically thumbed their noses at it and said they had to run their own even though it's the same report. This cost I believe around $160, for the exact same test. They were rather curt about it to her, at this point she was exasperated and took it back to the other reputable mechanic who looked at the report and said, yes I see. I had him just go ahead and replace all the plugs and coils again. When I went to Christian brothers to discuss this matter with them they said because I provided the parts they have no warranty even though on the Christian brothers invoice it clearly says "Christian brothers automotive guarantees proper installation of guest supply parts that are designed manufactured and suitable for the guests vehicle in its current condition." I provided the parts Ford sold me and CB agreed that they were the right parts. They (CB) failed to gap the plugs. My wife's car requires a 0.031 gap and CB left the gap at 0.060 and said not gapping is "industry standard". While that is a standard excuse maybe, the mechanic should have been astute enough to check to make sure that he was properly installing them. The over gap caused the coils to work twice as hard or more than they would have if properly gapped the new plugs, thus burning the plugs and damaging the new coils. Gapping is basic engine maintenance practice. When I used to do my own maintenance, way back when, that was the first thing I did...gap the plug properly. Christian brothers does not want to honor this warranty. I am only happy that their mistake did not destroy my wife's car engine. If CB as a company really stands by their own warranties, they should refund their charges and the cost of having them all replaced again because of their improper installation.

I really enjoyed the updated text from the technician every step of the way. My radiator needs replacing and CBA has an amazing turn around time. The shop is state of the art, the waiting area is peaceful and homely. You're clearly more than just money to Christian Brothers. Mathew Brown is a wonderful family man, with a kind heart and pure motives. You won't be taken advantage of when your vehicle knowledge is limited either. I can't say enough good things about a process we all see as stressful! CBA is the ' Chick Filet' of automotive repairs!

Then he had to leave as his shift ended while we were in the middle of getting things figured out on my available options, well after that my man Joe the service manager ; stepped in and not only figured out and finalized the absolute best option , better than I could've asked for , but he just went above and beyond even that awesome situation that both he and Alexander created for my particulate issue , I know this is a long review , but theee guys were just true gentleman. Also, I might add, they were quite busy during all this and in particular the second half of this when Joe stepped in to help , he was running the place by himself . They might've had a bad day, so be patient that's with anywhere you go understand that they've got a lot of things that tie hands up and all they wanna do is get the best thing for you, so if you need to have some get some patience, but most likely you won't run any situations where you'll need those cause these guys will certainly take care of y'all. The manager, Brad, called, explained the situation, and offered a service voucher to help make things right. He was professional and respectful on the call, and I appreciate that they addressed my concerns quickly. While the price difference wasn't completely refunded, I'm satisfied with the response and their effort to resolve the issue. Overcharged and pressured for repairs I never requested I went to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Daphne, AL for a basic tire and oil service after being quoted $321 "out the door." When I picked up my vehicle, the bill was over $100 higher than the quote. Staff blamed a "call center mistake" but refused to honor the original price. They also printed a repair estimate for nearly $5,000 worth of additional work that I never asked for, claiming someone had "verbally authorized" it -- which was completely untrue. On top of that, parts of the job were incomplete when I got the vehicle back. They didn't put spare tire back under my vehicle like I asked and no oil change sticker was applied or updated. I've contacted Mavis corporate about the overcharge and false authorization, and I've filed a complaint with the Alabama Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Be careful here !!
