The staff first of all. Very lazy and unprofessional. They steal the associates money that work hard for it. They exercise major favoritism to associates that kiss their little tuchies. They are afraid to keep their doors open at certain locations because they don't want to deal with the associates complaints about how they conduct their scandalous business. I've worked for this company and I still can not get paid properly. This is a (scandalous and mediocre agency! It was 100% better when it was ,"labor ready inc." This new corporation sucks major balls. read more

I have spent over a week now trying to get work from PeopleReady with no help from the company. Both their website and JobStack app tell me I need to finish onboarding before I can accept work offers, but everytime I follow their link to my profile it says all forms completed. I reached out to my local branch 1595 in Clairemont San Diego who told me I had to take 4 assessment tests online to complete onboarding. I finish these within an hour of meeting with 1595 branch and inform them immediately as asked by responding to their original email with "Done". Three days later I reach out my branch again (same rep) asking how long it will take to process my onboarding since I still had no access to applying to jobs. I was told, "you only completed 1 of 4 assessments". I inform the branch rep (same rep) that I had in fact completed all four at the same time and emailed that exact rep days ago to inform them I had completed the assessments. I then asked again how long it usually takes to finish onboarding so I can start working. Again, my question was not answered and was told the same message over and over again, "I'll let you know when we receive your assessment scores from corporate office". I tried calling the corporate customer service line (1-253-383-9101) to speak with someone regarding the issue and was kept on hold for over 45mins with not a single response from a live person. I've read a bunch of other negative reviews about my local branch, and with zero response from the parent companies own customer service line, I'm not sure that this company cares at all about getting people to work. They should change their name from PeopleReady to PeopleWaitingInLimbo. read more

PeopleReady - Employment Agencies Near Me - San Diego, California

They do actively seek employment opportunities and continuously keep you informed as they arise. They even have a next day paycheck option so you don't have to wait a week or 2 for your next paycheck. They'll even pay partial if you show up on time but the worksite cancelled the job at the last minute. read more

I had the same issue with some of the locations around Central MN. St Cloud is really on it about you getting paid the same day. You usually do if you have pay card. They contractor that you work for have up to 24 hrs to submit times. There were times I had to waits a full week or even more just to get paid. It has gotten in so much trouble with my responsibilities. I wouldn't sweat them about calling your times you will get into trouble with People Ready. That is the only issue I have with People Ready. read more

I've worked with people ready and this branch for at LEAST 7 years and they've always treated me nicely, and when I ask for something, like a pay out or a new debit card, or even when I ask for a personal request, they get it done right away or in a timely manner. They've also been very understanding of my situation (when its necessary) and have never given me any problems. I very much prefer working from this branch, and I personally like the people that work in the office. Even though there's several other temp agencies in the area that I can go to and work for, this branch has been and will continue to be my first choice when I'm out here looking for work. read more

The worst people ready I've ever talked to yet, they're either racist or really selective because they never have any work when i call..since oocotberof last year , i already go another job and moved on but ive been calling and checking to see and nope they always say they dont i ask why they dont have an answer ..something fishy about this offce I've called for months just to check bc I've never talk to an office that didn't have any work for months before and this is it..SD people ready i mean La mesa and chula vista ones are an oddball to say it nicely ..they tell me they don't have work and then they'll say they have to hang up..i already go a job somewhere else I just been calling to see if they were telling the truth or not..and since there's no way they never get work it means they're lying..bad office bad people ..go knock on doors and ask for work youre better off than these national security bullshit turds read more

My apologies, I forgotten to mention. That they do not honor the company policy. You are supposed to get paid the same day. This specific office, will tell you personally that the 24 hour mark starts when you clock out. So this specific office will make you wait 24 hours after you clock out to pay you. And will have you sitting on the side of the road, out of gas while waiting on your paycheck. Asking do I have some to get some gas, until I get paid. Yep, the person to call is the office to get my paycheck. Hence, they had me on the side of the highway, out of gas waiting on my paycheck. Definitely beware read more

The most unreliable and unresponsive, irresponsible branch of PeopleReady. Extremely unprofessional and hangs up, does not pay on time. I wouldn't be surprised if they engage in bribery and steal from employees! read more

We have given this company now called People Ready four tries this week. They don't send confident people. They haven't showed up on time and when we called to speak to the manager she stated that she herself would show up on the jobsite today at 8:30 AM with two workers as requested and at 10:00 not only did she not show up or call but only one worker came yet again. When I called to find out what happened she had a story that she had just arrived into work from an emergency at the hospital. I understand that things happen but not even a phone call, and four days in a row. Don't depend on this company for anything. On day 3 the labor person left because he got a blister. Seriously this is what labor is all about!! Just saying... I wish there were still a few people out there that were willing to work and knew what true hard work was. Look elsewhere for help. read more

call a "target-rich environment". There are so many problems with this company, and one huge, glaring issue with this particular branch, that I'm at a loss for where to begin. DISHONEST, SKINFLINT, PENNY-PINCHING, allocating countless unnecessary hours to avoiding paying laborers way too little money for seriously heavy labor while smugly collecting THE SAME AMOUNT AS IS PAID THE WORKER just for sitting in the office making life difficult for people who desperately need the money, all while continuously exhibiting, with an ironic attitude of undeserved arrogance, gross incompetence and an obvious disregard for the truth...as if they're proud to be scum. Weird. That "huge glaring issue"? (This is a little mean of me, but he's earned it, so..) Huge and glaring are intended here LITERALLY to describe the appearance of the Dispatcher, so if you're unwise enough to enter their office you'll be able to identify who to avoid. Actually, though, obescity and bugeyes are his best qualities, so before you say I'm going below the belt here, please understand this is my best effort to say something positive about the rude, incompetent, insensitive, cruel and chronically dishonest Dispatcher who displays a lack of understanding so profound that to me his continued existence is a miracle. He also has a downside. But I don't have time to continue. As I write this, I am in my 6th hour of attempting to collect the wages I earned yesterday that were to be paid yesterday, the 7 gallons of gas I've burned in pursuit of my money running out because of the wild goose chase I'm running which was caused by a series of awful lies told to me by the shiny, rotund Grinch of a Dispatcher I mentioned earlier. I may resort to crafting a suit of doughnuts to bait this enormous vessel of hatred and lies called the Dispatcher. I dunno. Yeah, don't deal with this place. I've warned you. read more

Labor Ready, now People Ready...In my opinion, if you are seeking to work for this company, either as a temp or a direct hire, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. They do not act in a manner that is in line with their "core values" towards their own internal direct hire employees, so in my opinion, I would assume they won't with any temporary staffer either. I found them to be very prejudiced, cut throat, deceptive, manipulative, (dishonest in keeping their word in negotiation/settlement agreements), and was overall unwilling to help a new hire succeed. (And their supervisors will say whatever needs to be said in order to cover up their errors......to me that shows a LACK of accountability and honesty.) read more

I worked for this company for a long time and had a hard time working for him due to the fact that even though I had good work history and a hard worker they would only put me because of my tattoos I believe and my background on jobs that consisted of hard labor different jobs by taking the bus and then put me on a job where I had a hard time getting to the job but I still made it and then my son got sick and went to the hospital I had to miss a day of work but because of that the guy at the front desk when I called in hours in advance told me I need to get my stuff together and give him a call back when I do have it all together so 7 months later I'm calling them he's telling me that he can't put me to work because of a review that he put down saying I was a no-call no-show and that I cannot be put on jobs because they have a new app that rates you called jobstacks I asked him for a phone number to call for human resource or somebody to make a complaint or somebody that might be able to assist me with this his response was there's nothing he can do to help me this particular office or maybe it's just that particular gentleman has no understanding other real world I'm sure not one day he's been out there digging a trench or working hard cuz if so he would be more understanding of the work that we do out there we don't sit behind a desk and be little people so I'm sure after this review peopleready will probably not let me work form however it's not the whole people ready company in particular it's just that office so be careful what you get yourself into you might work one day and never work again for him the next day highly judgemental people read more

I'd like to update this as of the beginning of 2019 by judging of working with this branch. I affiliate from a different branch in Northern San Diego area of Peopleready. It is not that bad when going to the jobsites from this branch as a worker. Communication wise I like it. There can be occasion times of seeing other temps stopping by whenever I enter the office for my paychecks in person. After couple times or so from this branch and some communications by phone call, I like the niceness of the staff for now. The number one person who is the nicest in my opinion is [Janell]. She is sometimes the caller but always appear whenever I enter the office. Disregarding from other temps but focusing on my experience so far with this branch, I like this branch despite of occasion conversations between the staff and temps, but this is a review I'd like to focus based on my own experience. Another thing I like about this branch is that they message your phone as a bonus on communications. Other than that, Janell and her staff are doing well whenever I talk to them. read more
