We've eaten many meals out around the world. Not generally at the fanciest of spots but considering the number of high quality dining establishments we have in Vancouver and my experience and training in French cuisine, I'm very comfortable in saying that this restaurant fits in my top 5 dining experiences in my life. We arrived without a reservation, and were afraid we'd be turned away but the owner found us a seat in the front entrance way, which was great because it was by the door and there was a lovely breeze blowing in on a scorching hot evening. Service was great, and the food was amazing. We had the Spanish mussels to start and shared a pitcher of white sangria. My wife had the Pork Tenderloin, and I had the Seafood Rice, both couldn't have been better. We Finished up with Cappuccinos Chocolate Mousse. Great meal generous portions and fantastic flavours. Go, you won't regret it, park like you are Portuguese and you'll be fine...

This is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to in the world. We stayed in Colares for 5 nights and came here every day, except for Monday because they were closed. The menu is simple, but deep with flavor. The most beautiful part was that an opulent three course meal for two with wine was about 24 euros. Try getting that anywhere else. I love octopus, but my girlfriend was completely turned off to the thought of consuming the tentacled sea creature. This restaurant's fried octopus converted her, I couldn't get enough for myself. Lest you think that this is only for portagese food, one night we ordered the filet and it came with truffle sauce for 13 euros. Truffle sauce and a perfect filet for 13 euros. Do yourself a favor and come to this restaurant. Just don't take my table.

Stayed at an Airbnb within walking distance of this place and came here everyday just to try more things on the menu. The service was excellent and ambience great but the star has to be the incredible food for such good prices. Most of the items on the menu are Italian and everything was cooked to perfection. Dare I say I did not have such amazing food even in Italy? I echo the other reviewers - this definitely one of the best meals I've had.

Great restaurant by Praia da Adraga. Chill vibe inside. Nice casual place to get lunch.

The best restaurant…read more We were heading to Sintra for the day and found this restaurant online and are so glad we did. It's the best hidden gem. It's about 10-15 minutes from Sintra, in the small village of Colares. Unlike Sintra, there aren't any tourists and it's truly locals only. We both got the steak and fries and it was the best steak ever. After we got done, the owner came over and chatted with us about the area and the restaurant. She's lovely and very proud of the restaurant. We asked her to pick out a dessert for us and she brought us cookie cake and it was SO good. When we were having lunch, a delivery came with fresh produce, so you know the food is fresh. The restaurant was authentic Portuguese food and worth the trip. If you're going to Sintra, I highly recommend coming here on your way! If I was a local, I'd eat here every meal. The best food and the best people. Truly felt like they welcomed me into their home. Note, it is cash only, so make sure to have cash!

I had a great dinner with the soup and the grilled octopus (served with baked potatoes and wilted…read moregreens) on a Thursday night. The chocolate mousse was also delicious.. a welcome change to all the pastries I have been eating. No fado, yet had great service. Ended up chatting with locals in neighboring tables and learning about the region. Even outside, they have a cute decor, a cute cat that comes by to say hello, and tables that are well separated for COVID-19 precautions. I would come back.
