4-25-21 Another bench outside this most ecclectic shop allowed me to enter a world of fascinating objects and fragrances yesterday in St. Helena, Napa. While Doc & pup waited outside for me I went in intending to browse but ended up finding things that caught my eye to give to Doc for inviting us to celebrate sweet and good T's 4 th birthday celebration. The shop person welcomed me, asked where I was from and how long I was staying. He let me wander the entire rectangular shop's perimeter then zeroed in on the middle cases and tables of goods. As I passed one section of the shop a wonderful fragrance teased my nose- ooh what is it with so many bottles before me. I went toward the shop guy and had to ask. He let me smell 2 products. One I knew wasn't it. The infused pomegranate was $60 and the parfume was $120+ so I selected the artichoke looking or pomegranate little sculpture. They have the most unique cards and items that subtly gave myself a whimsy yes: get it or a chuckle. I needed to get them. Doc was correct and knows me like a book. She said Go in, you like that kind of stuff. Yes indeedy!!! I really enjoyed it in there and so glad I went in. read more

One of many stores I visit when I come to St. Helena. Lots of different collectibles and souvenirs to take home. I find their items unique and ordinary and always different each time I come in. Pennyweight has always been a joy to walk into every time I am in St. Helena. The store itself brings me so much nostalgia and the unique things it stocks are a feast for all the senses. The last time I went inside, a gorgeous ring caught my eye and I was overjoyed when I received it as a Xmas gift. The ring was too big so I wrote to the store. A sweet lady called me immediately to arrange resizing with the designer. I cannot say enough good things about this place. What a great staff. I recently moved to St. Helena and one of my first days here I was walking my puppy on Main Street and saw the store window. Intrigued by the muxed offerings, I popped my head in to ask if it was ok to bring the pup in the store. Not only was it ok, they had treats and are obviously dog lovers. Their items are beautiful and unusual. I bought amazing earrings for a friend, had stationary made, and have not been able to resist some gifts for myself. But the most important feature is the staff. Friendly , passionate about their offerings, no snobbery, really want people to enjoy their shopping experience and promote this lovely town. I thought this place was really interesting; full of quality and selection. If you're looking for a gift for someone, this is a great place to find something. What I thought was awesome was that they had portraits hanging on the wall and it wasn't until I observed closer that the designs were made of insects! Have one of the savvy and stylish employees show you around. This place has wonderful stuff, but just like everything else it St Helena it is way too pricey for the product you are actually getting. They have some very cute designer stationary like Kate Spade note cards for example, however, I have seen the exact same set of note cards in there for like the last 3 years and can't help but wonder if the same lonely pack has been sitting there the whole time due to it's 8 cards inside the box and it's 24 dollar price tag. That's on a PLAIN set. Now if you want some kind of design, god forbid, you are going to pay even more of a premium. They do have some wonderful pens in this place if you are in the market for a super fancy pen that you aren't planning on losing. And the ladies that work here are super nice too. If you have money to burn and feel like burning it on over priced birthday cards or stationary packs, come here. read more

Stumbled upon this store on a day trip to St. Helena with my husband. It's a very pretty store with interesting selections. They also carry a great selection of Konstantino jewelry for women, as well as the men's line of Konstantino. It was the best store we went into. St. Helena in general is very upscale, so none of the stores are geared to bargain hunters.
