Cute little 50s diner. Everyone was very nice and friendly. The food was good and so was the milkshake.

Wow! This was the most redeeming quality of having to stay in Rawlins, WY for the night after car troubles. I didn't have the highest hopes because our hotel check-in had been in Penny's Diner, and it seemed it would not be open to the public until 6pm; it seemed to only serve workers prior to this time. The decor was super-charming with the swinging hips Elvis clock, old records including Barbra Streisand, and the retro print tabletops. My son and husband got hand-spun mint chocolate chip shakes and they brought the overflow in a metal cup- plenty for everyone. I ordered the Ruben, and was shocked by the delicious crispness of the sandwich and tater tots. Only gripe was they are short-staffed, as the signs indicate. Cody was working overtime to get everyone's order made swiftly before our very eyes in their open kitchen. Definitely a spot to check out if you find yourself in Rawlins, WY.

I would give zero stars if I could. We stayed at the hotel behind the diner. They give you a menu when you check in and they have cards in the hotel rooms with QR codes telling you to order online. Don't do this! It's a trap. We ordered online and when we went to pick up the order they told us they had been trying to call us because they didn't have the shakes we ordered or the mashed potatoes and gravy. This was no big deal although they shouldn't advertise things they don't have. The real issue is that the person said even though they couldn't give us our order, they were unable to refund any money!! What??!! How is that possible? Open the register and give me the money back! But they did not. Why would they advertise to order online knowing they don't have half the menu items and if they know they can't refund online orders (which makes no sense) why are they letting customers order online??! They gave us a few cookies instead of our money back. They gave us the rest of the order, but instead of fries they gave us tater tots. They are disorganized and the food was mediocre at best! Trust the other bad reviews and steer clear! The only thing this place has going for it is that it's a cute place. Totally not worth the money or the hassle. Terrible customer service!

Our "party" looking for a roadside lunch.

We were excited to stop at this super cute diner. As we walked in, we were greeted at the door by the...we assumed..manager who asked how many were in our "party". We had 6. He refused us service. Said he only had two workers and they couldn't accommodate us. We told them we were in no hurry, there were other diners there, but he said no. So we can't attest to the food , but the service was kind of stinky.

Food was great! Highly recommend the western burger. Service was friendly and fast, Leroy was very friendly. The ambiance of the old diner feel really was a classic (the only thing was to add some variety to the music)!! Great place in Rawlins

Don't bother they won't serve regular customers.

The 24 hour diner was closing when we arrived around 1pm in the afternoon. They ran out of food.

We opted to sit in the restaurant, since there was no one else in there. While we were there, several people came in and went back to the bar. We wondered if we should have sat in there instead since it was favored by the locals. We ordered appetizer to share between the two of us, and I ordered a cup of their chicken rice soup of the day. The soup was the star of my meal. I wish I'd gotten a bowl instead, since it had good flavor, and hit the spot. The appetizer, on the other hand, was underwhelming. I tried the deep fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, and buffalo chicken strips. The mushrooms were the best of this grouping. The cheese sticks had a funky, freezer-burnt flavor that I didn't care for. The buffalo sauce was way too spicy for my palate and the chicken strips were doused in it, so I couldn't even scrape it off to eat the chicken. My husband said the jalapeno poppers were pretty flavorless. I'm not sure how much longer this restaurant will be able to survive with little to no patrons, and lack luster food. I'm not planning to return.

So we did not see many options to eat in Rawling. When we got there there were a lot of cars in the…read moreparking lot. True some were junk cars but it looked ok. The reviews were a little harsh but we decided to give it a try. I had to laugh at the comments that the place should be called Crappies. I ordered the hamburger steak with salad and mashed potatoes. It was actually pretty good. It wasn't just a small hamburger patty but a good sized piece of meat. It was well seasoned but the mashed potatoes were from a box. If you are driving through and are desperate give this a chance.
