The place was small and quaint and I really didn't think we were going to be able to be seated for dinner. All of the tables were taken, besides the table we were able to get. The menu was pretty straightforward with the choices that they offer. For our table we had two orders of spaghetti and meatballs, a salami panini, a meatball sandwich, and a caprese salad that was big enough to share. All of the food was made to order and they all came out hot. The food was all really good, and the caprese was a hit with us. We shared tiramisu that was also delicious. Being that the dessert was so good, I ordered the chocolate banana cake to go and some cheesecake. Outside of having good food, the owners were very friendly, and they personally asked everyone if they were satisfied with their meals. This is a place you come for a sit down meal where you can talk with friends and family and enjoy the chill vibe. I will be coming back to the grumpy Italian for sure. read more

A true hidden gem. Great Italian food made from scratch (even the pepperoni is made in-house). The owners are warm and friendly, and the restaurant has a great vibe. Pizza prices are a bit high, but worth it when you think about the work that goes into each one, plus they are pretty big. As soon as you step in the door and the delicious smells hit you, you know you are in for a treat. The walls are covered in pictures of all the people who have eaten before you. Chances are the owners son is doing homework on an empty table while one of owners (husband/wife) greet you. The owner truly makes it all. If you come in early in the day you'll see him in back making dough, sauce, or slicing salami. You can't really go wrong with what you order. The paninis are great, as is the meatball sandwich. It's a classic made in homemade, soft bread with a massive portion of mozzarella cheese melting on top. However, the New York style pizza is what gets the most attention. The huge pizzas come out with a chewy, foldable crust. The sauce is flavorful, toppings are generously added, and the cheese is great. My son and I stopped to eat after visiting the hot springs. Amazing food! We're from California, and honestly one of the better pizza's I've had in a long time. This was a pleasant surprise! We had been mountain biking the Pole Mountains, body sliding in the snowy range, and then down to the hot Springs (there in Saratoga). Even table distractions with vintage games such as rock'em sock'em robots, Jenga, cards, and others. We actually did not eat their pizza, but looking at other patrons--and smelling at--they were clearly as good as the food we did order.
