What bothered me most was how a 30-year-old man with a disability was treated. He was made to feel like he was using a fake ID, which was insulting and embarrassing. There is a respectful way to verify someone's identification, and accusing or insinuating that someone is doing something wrong without handling the situation respectfully is unacceptable. On top of that, there was swearing going on around children, which made the environment even more uncomfortable. The staff should understand that basic respect, professionalism, and common courtesy matter, regardless of who walks through the door. Nobody should be made to feel humiliated or disrespected, especially someone with a disability who deserves the same dignity and consideration as anyone else. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Stockman's Bar to anyone looking for a welcoming, respectful environment. Management needs to take a serious look at how its staff treat people and the kind of atmosphere they allow in their establishment.

I left with almost 15-20 bug bites after just one day there. Definitely need to put in some bug safeguards like lavender or citronella plants. The bites lasted for weeks and tainted the experience. Getting a craft beer pint reminds me of where I live now where defaulted beer that everyone associates with beer drinking isn't the norm. It's been a while since I have had an evening meal here but I recently have had their breakfast buffet which is very nice. The food is nice and fresh and flavorful! Last year my father passed away and we did a private catering event in the dining room which was very nice. They got us in on very short notice and the event went quite smoothly. The organizer was extremely helpful and organized and laid out all the options for the event we were needing to do after the funeral. So that went quite smoothly. I am not sure when my next visit back will be but if it's a trip of a recreational and casual nature I will definitely stop by the bar for a pint of beer!
