The team mentioned that the special seating was because we had booked so far ahead, which I really appreciated. It was a thoughtful touch that made the night feel even more special. The service was also amazing! My drink was not what I expected and they were willing to comp and give me a new drink, which was very nice. Sheeeesh. This place doesn't mess around. Food and drinks are incredible. The place looks small, but they can pack people in there and there's another room on the side of the restaurant. It's a "nicer" restaurant. Most people were dressed pretty nicely, which fits the ambiance - definitely a little more upscale. Most recently, we walked in at 6:30pm on a Saturday and sat down at the bar. For food, We got the bread with butter and the wagyu beef. For the price to portion ratio, I was slightly disappointed with the wagyu. The strips were already sliced and cooked on each side, which I thought was strange. I was expecting to pick a temperature and cut into it myself. The bread was super super super good! Can't go wrong here. Lastly, the cocktails. AMAZING. Highly recommend the pork belly and the margonada, but the rest of the food we tried was underwhelming. Everything was cooked/prepared and plated well, but nothing wowed us with flavor like we expected. The ribeye was good but seemed like something we could get at any steakhouse. The linguine was too bitter from the arugula and didn't pair well with the earthy mushrooms. The brisket was just okay. I was hopeful that the artichokes were going to be a hit but the sourness of the pickling on them contrasted too much with the fair-food style fry-breading (a smoked artichoke would fit much better). Overview: I would say this is probably my favorite restaurant to eat at while I'm in Steamboat and I always try to at least come once. The food is amazing, the staff are super friendly, and the ambiance is wonderful. The main dining area is nice and where I prefer to be seated. They also use the restaurant next door for additional seating. The food here is super good. There isn't a thing I've gotten, that I didn't love. Overall, this is a must go to place if you visit steamboat. Stopped in on a Friday night with two girlfriends around 7pm - luckily we arrived before the dinner rush and were able to get seats at the bar because the standard tables were completely booked for the night. The place is very classy, not on the Main Street so has a little more of an intimate feel. Loved the brick accent walls that add an authentic feel, this place is 100 years old and used to be an actual laundry. The same restaurant group also owns the breakfast/brunch place next-door, which is also adorable and has patio seating by the creek. Our bartender Ryan was very down to earth and great conversation, recommended some yummy cocktails and chatted us up the whole time, giving us background on the restaurant and insights about the city as it was our first time in steamboat. The menu is tapas style, with everything intended to be shared, even the entrée style menu options that might seem like bigger plates. We decided to start with the carpaccio, the meat was good quality, and fresh, I loved the cheese and light refreshing arugula. Not a big fan of capers, so I avoided those. The crackers it came with were light and airy, not too filling. We also opted for the lamb meatballs, crispy truffle potatoes, and the salmon de oro special. I'm glad we overheard Ryan telling another group that the salmon is basically raw, as it influence our decision somewhat. The salmon was good, the crispy rice was a little over fried, and the ratio of salmon to rice could have been better, but the dish was tasty and not too heavy either. The lamb meatballs were delicious, I loved the sauce that they came with, I wish it came with more than three. The truffle potatoes were also a hit, perfectly crispy, served with a yummy creamy sauce and seasoned to perfection My friends had the fiery margarita, which was such an interesting green color that I don't often see, and they infuse their spirits in house - you can see them on the shelf, soaking in jars. The jalapeño infused tequila was perfectly spicy and made for a very yummy drink. We also tried Ellie's cocktail which also had a spicy cake, but more of a fruity flavor and served with a tajin rim. I don't recall seeing any desserts on the menu, maybe it was separate, but we were honestly so full that we wouldn't have been able to have any anyway. My husband and I had a wonderful meal during our recent ski trip to Steamboat, just around New Year's Eve. I love the atmosphere, rustic with a contemporary touch, elegant yet relaxed. It's interesting to learn that the building served as the town's laundromat for 30 years, and you can still see its history displayed on the walls with antique washer boards. The menu offers mostly small plates, and we decided to share a few, all of them tasty and well presented. Laundry was one of my favorite dinners ever. The location used to be a laundromat - and they have murals and photos to look at inside. You can also see all the infusions they are working on for the drink menu - including a daily rotating drink. Our server Jordan was incredible - his recommendations were all amazing. He truly made our experience better. The carpaccio, pork belly and crispy potatoes were all 10/10. I'm still thinking about the carpaccio. I'm so glad I went there as the service and food was exceptional. First I showed up without reservations which I highly DO NOT recommend as they turned many people away because they were packed. They were gracious enough to let me sit at a table that was reserved to later since I was alone and promised to be done by the time the other party arrived. My waiter Aidan came by and quickly made some recommendations which were amazing. The bison carpaccio spectacular and she shrimp delicious. Wish I got the guys name. Had glasses, thin build. He was awesome. Knew his stuff and was very attentive. Cons - Ribeye was underwhelming. It wasn't as tender as I expected rib eye to be and it wasn't bursting with flavor like our other dishes , even with drowning each bite in the chimchurri (sauce was good though). At $59 we expected more. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars and I feel bad about it because everything else was perfect. The food runners were also knowledgeable. My husband and I got 4 small plates. The first was a beef in lettuce wrap and was great! After that they went downhill. I was pretty disappointed given the hype I'd heard about this place. The artichoke was a fried ball, that's all I can remember. The hash was pretty dry, it really needed more melted goat cheese. Really enjoyed an early dinner with the parents to celebrate milestone birthdays. The waitstaff were happy to seat us creekside and the view was amazing - as was the food. Staff were incredibly attentive but not so much that we felt it. My only reservation was pricing. We've eaten in many amazing places and have always been happy to pay accordingly. I feel like portions with Laundry weren't on par with pricing. We had two small plates and two large plates for a party of four. Large plates were right at $70. We left wanting more but decided we'd grab dessert elsewhere. Maybe it's being in Steamboat? Our home base is Denver and comparable dining options in felt a little less pricy. We had the shrimp that is a house speciality and wish we would have tried the pimento instead. Shrimp was great but really not a good companion to the fried chicken. Go with your first thought! Fried chicken was juicy and delicious and crispy. Brussel sprouts were tasty but there was more topping than sprout. Usually a plus but I found myself wanting a little more sprout. The only catch is you have to out down $25 per person to make a reservation and if you have someone in your group who is too laid back, it might cause you to have acid in your stomach if they take their sweet time getting ready to go there. We go to Laundry every year for a birthday and this year was sub par unfortunately. Waiter was nice guy but very inattentive with poor service he forgot a drink order, forgot the birthday that we had discussed with him when seated. He never came to check on us, our plates after every dish was eaten sat in front of us for a very long time before someone came to clear the plates. The food was not as good as it usually is, the panzanella salad lacked dressing and cheese, the pow pow shrimp seemed a bit under cooked. We were there for 2.5 hours plus due to the service being so slow. We sat out on the patio which was nice but we noticed other people with empty dirty plates sitting in front of them as well. Come on Laundry you can do better we have experienced much better service at your establishment. read more

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Service was amazing. Our server was Jordan, knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. One of my daughter's is Ciliac and the other vegetarian. They actually deconstructed menu items to suit their dietary needs. We ordered pork belly biscuits and fried chicken. My daughter's had local pork chop and pasta. I could go into each dish but I'm totally satisfied and tired from skiing all day. There is a reason why they are #1 on yelp. The food is incredible. Four persons, 7 cocktails. The bill was around $400 before tip. Totally reasonable for fine dining in a resort ski town, highly recommend!
