I have seen a ton of bad reviews here but my experience was decent and I do not have many complaints. Took only a few minutes to get seated and the waiter was nice. Took a while to place an order but I was in no rush. I got the chorizo burrito and two nutella crepes. I only ordered one crepe and was charged for one crepe. That was a win! We stopped here after a long drive and road conditions were too hazardous to keep driving. We decided to have a snack at Denny's before they closed. We were greeted by friendly faces and were quickly sat. I believe the manager stopped by and got our drink order right away. Shortly after our server, Nannette came by our table and made sure drinks were on the way. We ordered shortly after and the food came out fresh and hot, much better than expected. The restaurant was well kept and very clean. Even though they were extremely busy due to the severe weather, service was amazing and the food was great. The service was absolutely dreadful. I waited five minutes for a greeting from anyone, then waited for another ten for my order to be taken for drinks. The waitresses were obviously not getting along with the kitchen and they were audibly yelling back and forth. I ordered the Moons over My Hammy omelette... it was missing the white cheddar and instead had like 15 diced ham squares and two barely melted Kraft single slices of American on it. Inside of the egg was burnt brown and tasted so.... the hashbrowns were cooked on a surface that hasn't been cleaned in a while and the oil was stale. They were burnt on the outside and raw in the middle which means the cook wasn't trained well and has the flat top on way too high. The toast and my water came out ten minutes after the meal and the toast was ice Cold and buttered with some sort of vegetable spread that tasted nothing like butter and everything like Pam spray. The coffee was miserably burnt and the dingy atmosphere was only complimented more by the lack of service. There were at least two servers and only eleven tables when I left and four when I entered. I worked service for two decades and I could easily handle 12 tables during prix fixe lunch in Manhattan so I'm not sure why the lackluster attitude and sheer reluctance to take tables and make more money ... I still tipped 18 percent because I'm not a jerk but seriously ... step it up a notch and for gods sakes use fresh food and clean your kitchen ... it's gross. read more

First off... this is a Denny's.... so don't expect anything more than a Denny's. We stopped in for lunch on the homeward leg of our Great Northern Idaho Road Trip and Family Bonding Experience. The Wife checked Yelp! and said the place appeared decent enough. Overall, she was correct. Part of me wants to give this place 2 stars, but the fairer, more impartial part of me is settling on 3 stars. Because as I stated, it's a Denny's. You can't eat here expecting it to be anything other than a Denny's. The Kid had spagetti and meatballs. The Wife had pot roast I had the Prime Rib Philly steak sandwich and some kind of fries. The Kid doesn't do meatballs, so I got them. I was very surprised that these were three huge, light and flavorful meatballs. I assume the spaghetti was good because The Kid nearly licked the plate. The Wife's pot roast was solid and flavorful. The mashed potatos were obviously instant, but the beef gave every indication of been cooked fresh and not from a packet. Overall, a decent take on pot roast. My Prime Rib Philly steak sandwich was at first a misfire. I specifically asked for it sans mushrooms. What I got had mushrooms. Now you're probably telling yourself 'Hey... didn't he LOVE the mushroom soup at that other place?" And yes I did. But I do not like them on a philly. So I pointed out the oversight to our server who quickly apologized and took ownership of the oversight. In just a few minutes, I had the proper version on the table, complete with a new order of fries, to make sure everything was hot. As philly sandwiches go, it was okay. I'm a huge philly fan and make them at home fairly often. It could have been a bit bigger for the price, and it could have been more flavorful. Again, this is Denny's, so keep the bar centered and you'll be okay. The place was fairly clean for what is essentially a truckstop, the staff were friendly and the service quick. On my way home , I stopped by Denny's @ the Flying J Truck Stop for a bite to eat. I had to wait a few minutes before being seated. So, I decided to hit the counter area. Once there , my server Amy took my order. She was polite, smiling and put me in a good mood with her attitude. I ordered the nacho salad and seasoned fries. One of the nicer places to go in Rawlins. I know it's a Denys but this one is really new and the wait staff are nice. They also serve gluten free English muffins which is a huge bonus for the area. The prices are good for what you get and I have never had an empty drink. There is lots of parking and the place is warm and cozy not über bright and noisy. Hubby and I paid 16$ for breakfast that included gluten free English muffins and Orange juice as opposed to penny's diner where I paid 36$ for breakfast with no bread at all. The bathrooms are in the gas station though so u will have to walk across the store to go kinda inconvenient if you have little ones but all in all the best value and nice atmosphere they serve a full menu all day too so you can get what your craving! read more

This evening, my girlfriend and I tried to go to this Denny's. Today is my birthday and we've been driving ALL day down the I-80- I just wanted my birthday grand slam for dinner since I couldn't have my birthday dinner with my family this year. First, this Denny's isn't open 24 hours which is shocking considering it's located in a truck stop. When I approached the restaurant and a man who looked like the manager I asked if they were open, the manager informed me that they close at 10:30, even though the time was 10:15. (Yelp says they close at 10, so I don't know what to believe) The restaurant wasn't even closed yet and they had their big metal gate pulled half way down. I know they were about to close but there would have been a nice tip for the waitress and staff for serving us right before closing. Actually I've never heard of a restaurant turning away customers because it was 15 mins before closing. Won't be coming back anytime soon since I'm not local, but this Denny's could be the last one on earth before I tried to eat here again. read more
