Glendive, Montana…read more September 2026 1 o'clock and we are the only people in the restaurant. Very cute, warm place. We walk in and order off the menu that is written in chalk above the register. There are no prices on anything. I find that very odd. I asked her how much the sandwiches were and she said between $15 and $16 each. I opted for the turkey Swiss with a side of chips. I did remove the sprouts from the sandwich and asked for ciabatta instead of multigrain. I was given an option for a side of chips, coleslaw, or carrots. They had a few bakery items. I looked at the scones which look like ciabatta bread. They were very small and cut like a triangle. The brownies that were in the refrigerated case were rock hard. So I ordered neither. The sandwich was fine. Way too much lettuce. Not enough turkey. Bread was more of a roll than a ciabatta. Soft and dry. Love the atmosphere. Bored with food. Annoyed by lack of personality and kindness from the tattooed girl at counter. Only mentioned tattoos as other two ladies in restaurant did not show any. I give this place 3 stars.

We did not have to wait long for our waitress to take our order or for our food to arrive. Great tasting food. The chicken was amazing. Had a great smoke flavor. Great portions. My daughter and I shared the half chicken plate with a side of loaded mashed potatoes and an extra side of the honey brussel sprouts. To die for by the way. My husband had the sample platter. So much food we had to take some home with us. Plenty of parking and the food was very fresh, especially since we arrived there at 8:30 and it closes at 9:00. We also had their new shrimp wrapped with wontons and chili sauce appetizer. It was also amazing. The only sad thing is our waitress did not tell us her name so I can't give her a shout out. Easy access on and off the freeway. Highly recommend if you're ever in Miles City.

They had specials posted on the board behind the counter which sounded really good. Will have to go back. It appeared like a lot of locals were eating there. Parking was not bad, street parking in front of the building. Moderately priced. Menu was very large too!! Lots of options. Will return soon.

I always get the biscuits and gravy and add something else like eggs and hash browns. I noticed today they have the Biscuit Barge which includes biscuits and gravy, hash browns, a sausage patty and two scrambled eggs and was perfect! The gravy is creamy and savory and the hash browns just the right amount of crisp. Combined with two scrambled eggs and fresh biscuits and you got yourself a meal. The ambiance is what you would expect from a small town diner, including warm hospitality and a slew of regulars filling the room with tales of the simple life, clanging dishes, and laughter. Final comments include the excellent service received. Three servers worked the room, like they were working, a cattle drive or something, each covering the other, anticipating the need for coffee refresh, and while doing this clearly having a good time. Highly recommend Sonny's and look forward to coming back, and perhaps branching off of my standard biscuits and gravy and venturing into one of the delicious looking omelettes or one of the Mexican breakfast offerings.
