    Chicken fried chicken

Perfect and unpretentious meal with stellar service. After a long day in the car, our hotel suggested we dine next door. I'm so glad we listened. The ribeye and baked potatoes were fantastic. I loved the chicken fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. Sometimes you just need home style comfort food. Don't let the small town and unpretentious exterior fool you. The details are not missed here. Cloth napkins, salt& paper on the table, two forks, extra butter are all provided without having to ask. I'm sad I just passed through and only ate here once.

We had prime rib southwest chicken and orange chicken. Every one enjoyed everything. The prime was flavorful and cooked to order. The SW chicken was spiced just right. And the orange chicken was crispy, chewy and orangy. Love it all. Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was busy but on point. Loved our dinner time here.

Had dinner here for our one night stay in Glendive. This is a restaurant attached to a motel. The dining room is quite nice with well spaced tables, the booth seats by the windows are very comfortable. We had a burger and nachos. Both ok although for the nachos I'd have preferred different kind of cheese - the American cheese they used was very runny - but the flavors were ok. For dessert had pecan pie a la mode. Not the best pie and the ice cream too starchy. Service was attentive and efficient. Reasonable prices. Overall an acceptable dining option.

Bleu cheese burger with fries. Very good choice

So, I was having extended work stay in Glendive and I ate here a few times. In fact twice during the week. Maybe a Tuesday and Wednesday. Then on a Friday. The Tuesday I got a hamburger and fries. Service was great, food came out fast and hot. It was really good. The Wednesday I ate at the bar section. I got a chicken sandwich with fries. That was pretty good too. Chicken was a little dry, but not like eating a cracker. Service was excellent both days. I ate here on a Friday at around 6pm. I took a seat, it's basically first come first serve. I sat in the dining area. I waited maybe 5 minutes for the waitress and she gave me my menu. I knew what I was going to eat, so I ordered a beer and water. Waitress came back and I placed my order. I got a 12oz sirloin with mixed vegetables. I also got the soup of the day, clam chowder. I thought clam chowder in Montana, this might be risky. Haha. Got my beer then clam chowder. It turned out ok. Then I proceeded to wait ~40 minutes to get my dinner. I almost left. I would have paid for the beer and chowder. I could hear a lot of chatter out of the kitchen and not good chatter. The kitchen was backing up and food was delayed. The kitchen was out of order. I felt bad for the waitress cause she was running all over the place. It wasn't her fault. When I went there during the week, the food was served in 10-15 minutes tops. Friday it was 40 minutes. Service was good. I did notice and hear some complaints amongst other guests. I remained cool, even though it had been a long two weeks. I did tip well cause I know the waitress was completely overwhelmed. My one option to this place is to hire a busboy to clean the plates up instead of the waitress doing it.

The food and service were good and most importantly open the 4th of July. Their wings were crisp so was the chicken on the salad. The waiter was nice and attentive even with how busy they were. I'd recommend it.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times and it's always great. Rooms are not fancy but they are clean and comfortable. It's very old school with actual keys for the room. One of the best parts is that there is a 24 hr diner as well as a bar and some video slots. The food is so good. They have a big variety of basic comfort food all done food. Several draft beer options and a full bar. They have daily specials. Last time I had the daily special of pork street tacos with beans and rice. Look this in Montana so not expecting great street tacos. Yes they were on flour tortillas but the pork was so tender and tasty. Plenty of cotija cheese and lots of pork. It came with guacamole. The beans and rice were maybe not 100% authentic but the rice was better than most rice in Texas Mexican places. The prices for the food, drinks, room are a great value. I will continue not stay here every trip this way. It's the total package. I need to try breakfast next time. Guest get a 10% discount. It's always busy so you know it's gotta be good

Food was good! Staff was friendly, place felt clean and inviting. Plenty of parking, didn't wait long for service and food to table.

We returned about 6pm and this time entered through the hotel and paused at the "Please wait to be seated" sign post for about 10 minutes. The restaurant was bustling and we thought nothing about being "ignored" but my wife insisted that we walk to the main entrance and get in line. We were shocked when the front end staff found no reservations under my wife's name. Thankfully, "Shaker" had noted our earlier visit with my wife's service animal and had made a handwritten to the affect that we had a dog. Whew, crisis averted thanks to "the man", Shaker and his attention to detail! Dinner was uneventful and the service by Franco was exceptional. We enjoyed the bourbon glazed Brussel sprouts before our entrees; she had the 8 oz tenderloin and I had the osso bucco. Everything was terrific and the pace, leisurely. Most of the seating is at the bar. The bar chairs are cushy, with backs and places for your feet. There is also a sitting area with couches. We both enjoyed our beverages and would've had another if we didn't have to hop on the road. I drank a rose from the Willamette River Valley, OR, while my hubby had a mule. For lunch, we ordered the yummy burrata with prosciutto and tomatoes as our appetizer. For our meal, we shared the chicken bacon ranch pizza. It was so good and very filling. We might have been able to eat it all if we hadn't gotten the app, but we can't resist a burrata. I recommend asking for a side of their ranch to dip your crust in. They also have a gift shop with excellent-smelling soy candles that I almost bought (but I'm on a candle freeze until I use more of what I already have) and t-shirts and coasters with fun quotes. They also have escape rooms in envelopes that I was tempted to buy, as I have never seen them.

The main guy working was alone behind the counter, with no customers when we arrived, and he didn't acknowledge us for several minutes. The cafe is also in western wear store and there are vacation rentals on top of the cafe. The building is a completely renovated old hotel. There are two units. A 1BR and a 2BR. They are far better than any hotel room you will find with kitchens and the bigger one has a back porch. On top of all of this, my mother left her credit card at the cafe and LeAnn and Gene went above and beyond what anyone has ever done to track us down and get us the card back. We are deeply appreciative of their kindness and we can never repay them for what they did. They saved the day and prevented us from having to cancel credit cards, etc. This speaks volumes as to the character of the owners and I hope their business is open for a very long time.

We were told the fryers were down, which wasn't a problem since we planned to order breakfast items anyway. Our server was friendly, but service felt disorganized from the start. She forgot to bring my coffee, and I had to ask for it while she was sitting at the desk computer. We also noticed our food was taking an unusually long time to arrive, despite us being the only customers in the restaurant. Eventually, we learned they had to turn on and heat up the flat-top grill after we placed our order. At lunchtime on a Wednesday, that was surprising. Had we known the grill wasn't already operating, we probably would have chosen somewhere else. We're traveling and were hoping for a quick meal, but it took nearly an hour from start to finish, with over 30 minutes passing before our food arrived. Unfortunately, the food itself was even more disappointing than the wait. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet but was served a bacon and cheese omelet instead, which is a pretty significant difference. The pancake was dense, dry, and almost flavorless -- it honestly tasted like it was made from little more than flour and water. The French toast was acceptable but nothing memorable. Overall, we took a few bites from everything but barely touched our food.  We've been traveling for a month and eating at restaurants all over the country, and this was easily the most disappointing meal we've had on the road. The staff was pleasant, but between the long wait, incorrect order, and poor food quality, we won't be returning next time we pass through.

They had started cleaning it and hadn't finished. I started cleaning it off, I didn't get very far before a very nice young lady took over. She gave us menus, took our drink order, then advised us the grill closed at 9pm, despite the check-in guy & menu at the hotel saying 10pm, only fried food available. I wanted a cobb salad, turns out those were available too. Portions were huge. I ate less than half. Fish and chips were rated as around 3 star by my husband. The salad was good: perfect avocado, crisp greens, big chunks of cheese, tho I could have skipped the chicken. The gal working was as nice as could be. Sje was tolerant, patient and understanding. She went out of her way to make sure that we were not only satisfied with the food, but comped for our expectations not being met. I NEVER ask for, or imply I deserve compensation.
