I've never had a restaurant with fries not have bbq sauce. I've traveled extensively. Asked for Honey Mustard with my steak fingers, seeing as they didn't have bbq. Was charged 50 cents for a tablespoon of dressing. Asked for a metal fork with my food. Was reluctantly given one, was told I was "lucky" they had them. It was flimsy and given to me in a rude manner. Upon asking for my bill was told I had to pay at the counter. Which is fine. But no one told me I had to do that. Then I get up there, there is a sign that their software doesn't print out a receipt with a line for a tip. I had to tell them in advance what I wanted to tip. And no itemized receipt possible. I tipped 20%. I always do. I will in the future patronize the other diners in town. If I have my way, I'll never cross the threshold of Airport Inn again. The other diners in town a) have better food; b) for better prices; c) don't charge extra for a tablespoon of sauce; d) have actual lemons upon request for water, not squeeze lemon (ick); e) bring the bill to the table; f) offer bbq sauce with fries; g) have actual silverware from the start; h) more polite staff. I get that the restaurant is a local institution but I found it unfriendly, nearly hostile, oh and they don't have a website. And an ancient register system. Get into the 21st century please.

What a great surprise. We were pulling over on a road trip for a quick bite and were ready to go…read morewith fast food until we saw this place and it got good reviews. Pleasant space, excellent food (not salty!) and a big staff, friendly and capable. And we spent less on lunch than we probably would have at Arby's or whatever anyways. Highly recommend.

Which, It did not. It isn't bad food. Just no where near worth the starting price of $19.50 per plate. They started by bringing out two different salsas. which I can really appreciate. One which looks like your average salsa which is ok, it's got enough heat that you can actually feel something. The second, has cabbage in it which I was super excited about, but literally tasted like cabbage water. Next To no flavor at all. The chicken mole enchiladas were by far the sweetest mole I've ever tasted and was able to be saved by pouring the normal salsa on top. Without the salsa on top I'd give it a 4 out of 10 The horchata was the best part but came in a normal drink cup with all ice and no re-fills for 3.75 wasn't worth it either. I do have to give them props on how fast they were thoough. I was able to walk in, be seated, order, eat, pay and leave all in under half an hour. Solid job on the service.

We were told the fryers were down, which wasn't a problem since we planned to order breakfast items anyway. Our server was friendly, but service felt disorganized from the start. She forgot to bring my coffee, and I had to ask for it while she was sitting at the desk computer. We also noticed our food was taking an unusually long time to arrive, despite us being the only customers in the restaurant. Eventually, we learned they had to turn on and heat up the flat-top grill after we placed our order. At lunchtime on a Wednesday, that was surprising. Had we known the grill wasn't already operating, we probably would have chosen somewhere else. We're traveling and were hoping for a quick meal, but it took nearly an hour from start to finish, with over 30 minutes passing before our food arrived. Unfortunately, the food itself was even more disappointing than the wait. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet but was served a bacon and cheese omelet instead, which is a pretty significant difference. The pancake was dense, dry, and almost flavorless -- it honestly tasted like it was made from little more than flour and water. The French toast was acceptable but nothing memorable. Overall, we took a few bites from everything but barely touched our food.  We've been traveling for a month and eating at restaurants all over the country, and this was easily the most disappointing meal we've had on the road. The staff was pleasant, but between the long wait, incorrect order, and poor food quality, we won't be returning next time we pass through.
