Our room was very nice. I love that they don't have carpeting in the rooms. It smells much cleaner without them. The beds are not soft, but not too hard either. Good looking motel. Stylish decor with muted color scheme in shades of black and grey making it look quite upscale. Nice big lobby. Big room, with fridge and microwave. Quite comfortable. It's one of the better la Quinta's I've stayed. View of the highway. The fridge does make noises on and off which could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast room can get crowded around peak time at 8 especially with some guests staying on with their laptops even when finished eating. Hot food includes sausage patties cut up into squares, Pre-made omelets and fried eggs and potato cubes. Mini muffins and individual servings of cereal. read more

Very nice. Accomodations available for our dog, which was nice. However, the dog "area" was sparse and not really very good. That said, we had an incident with the dog, and they provided medications and bandaids. That was nice, and an urgent care situation the next day fixed it. We don't suggest they were at fault, but the dog area is adequate at best. The room? Well, we splurged, given our situation, and a king size bed and a whirlpool tub is always quite nice. read more

We stayed the night at La Quinta Inn while on a roadtrip to Idaho from Minnesota. The stay was pleasant and comfortable. We were able to appreciate cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. The first floor rooms are reserved for people with pets. The elevator is particularly slow and a staff member apologized for it being slow. There were 2 luggage carts that I saw and I was happy that they were available when we needed them. It was kinda freaky that as you took a shower, the pipes would scream quietly for about 90-seconds ... until later. The free breakfast was pretty darn AWESOME! There were pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy ... it was quite nice. There were no Pokestops at the hotel. read more

Stayed for one night, with a dog. The rooms were clean and modern. I loved all the different toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of cable stations. The front staff was very nice, had treats for the dog. The dog area was adequate, it was snowing so appreciated the rocks they had laid down. OK ... moving on to breakfast. One of the better breakfasts for a mid level hotel. The biscuits and gravy were quite good. They also had some type of omelette and pancakes. All the normal juices, coffees and dairy items. I have actually booked a night on my journey back because I enjoyed the visit so much. read more

We stayed one night on way out to Bigfork. The attendant at the front desk was friendly and got us checked in quickly. The rooms appeared to be recently renovated. They were clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was everything I would expect. The price was right too! So we're not La Quinta people. The last time we stayed in one was around 2009 when we stayed in the same La Quinta in Walla Walla featured in Mike Birbiglia's 'Sleepwalk With Me' story. (Mike jumped through the upper-floor window and landed on the ground whilst sleepwalking. Ouch.) But this one in Glendive was in the right place for our cross-country trip so we took a shot. Also, neither of us sleepwalks ... that we know of. Bottom line: We were surprised to find a newer, clean, quiet, well-run operation at a reasonable price. You can't say fairer than. Having lived in Western Montana for a number of years, we were also surprised to discover what a nice, tidy little community Glendive is. I mean, the name alone is a bit off-putting, right? As a bonus, we went for an after-dinner drive through the surrounding farm country on the Yellowstone River, and ended up snagging a life bird -- a Sharp-tailed Grouse! And when it turned out we were inadvertently trespassing on an unmarked farm road when we found the Grouse, the disgruntled farmer didn't even shoot at us once. Nice! The bad news: Really weak motel coffee (labeled "strong" on less!). I mean, if people want brown-tinted dishwater, they can cut their coffee with the hot water in the next dispenser. You can't really go the other direction. Oh yeah ... and pathetic shower water pressure. Still, not a bad stay overall. read more

This was a great place to stay. The owner was actually working the front counter that day because of being short handed. I had much more respect for the guy. The rooms were clean and dry and modern. We came in late and left early, so I can't speak to the entire facility, but the room was nice. The guy at the front desk was friendly and gave us dinner suggestions and the breakfast the next morning was satisfying. read more

Would definitely recommend this hotel!!! Clean rooms, VERY comfortable beds and nice people. I love this chain since they are pet friendly. This is the best one I've ever stayed in. I transport dogs so I'm on the road a lot. The breakfast was so good. Their biscuits are soft and tasty. The staff here was friendly and helpful. I left my keys in my room, which I was embarrassed by, and had more of an interaction with any hotel staff than I have in probably years. It was very positive, so I'm keeping this up at a 3-star review. The hotel itself seems to be pretty new, but it was very, very cheaply built. The blinds were stuck on the tracks and , the gap under the door was big enough to slide a small child through, the walls were super thin. The list could go on and on, but the general idea is that it's cheap. Oh, the breakfast wasn't good and missing some key components (out of biscuits to go with the gravy, for example). The location was about as good as can be expected and the price was acceptable for a small town in Montana, so it was fine as a stopover. I fear what will happen to this hotel as it ages, but for now it's fine for just one night. read more

We were taking a scenic drive across country (and through the badlands that day), and felt like a break from camping. Being as there's not much around we thought we might have to keep driving, but we happily found this place, which had the showers, comfy king bed, and filling breakfast we hoped for! Had a chance to stay here last night for the first time. The hotel was clean and with today's updated decor. The room was very clean and presentable. The only thing I can say is that there was a chemical smell in the restroom that kind of over powered. Maybe they can look into changing it. Never the less the stay was very good. I doubt if I'll be back in Montana but if your ever in the area this is a good place to stay. read more

Stayed at the La Quinta in Glendive again in December. Second stay was as great as the first. Highly recommend. Staff and management are all focused on customer service. Unfortunately COVID restrictions keep them from the normal breakfast but they provided a great takeout style breakfast. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

Moving cross country with a cat, dog & toddler has been challenging to say the least but La Quinta Inn in Glendive happily accommodated all of us after arriving at 1am exhausted. Staying here for a family funeral from Oregon, called last minute since I wasn't sure if I was able to make it, but they were very accommodating & gave me the bereavement rate. They were very helpful and when I checked in, I received a heartfelt condolence from the kind lady at the front desk. The rooms are great- very neat, clean & spacious. They offer a great breakfast in the morning... Eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, bagels and muffins, yogurts and fruit. And of course cereal &a juices. They even have a waffle station! Amazing...let's start there. My wife got a two bedroom room with our two dogs. The front desk girl was so kind and welcoming to our dogs. Thank you for the treats! Our dogs are normally saints but got nervous hearing other people and doors while we went out for dinner. The front desk was nice enough to call and let us know so we came back out of respect for rooms next to us. My wife apologized to front desk and they tried apologizing to us! Rooms are clean but every time the person stayed upstairs walk around the room, it felt like earthquake..... Pets are allowed in the hotel too, the hall smells sometimes. The breakfast has limited option. Great location, right off the highway. read more

We had a pet emergency in July on the way home from Seattle and the front desk ladies were so accommodating - helped us with directions to local Petsmart and the Walgreens, and also assisted with packing tape for mailing boxes back to St. Paul. The rooms are always clean (we've stayed a number of times) and the breakfasts are amazing! Love this place! Will be staying here again, for sure! read more

The two stars are for overall cleanliness. Our total experience at the hotel was poor. The room was not like the pictures. We were expecting a partially divided room which we specifically requested so we could put our baby in a separate space. This is how it appeared in the photo for the room and I confirmed when I called to reserve. But the room we got had the couch next to the bed with no division. They did not have any pack n plays pr cribs. Luckily we had one in the car just in case. The bed and pillows were especially uncomfortable making for a restless nights sleep. The front desk service was not especially friendly or helpful. The breakfast was subpar and the bar is fairly low for free hotel breakfast. They had oatmeal packets, yogurt, some cereal, and bland breakfast burritos. The juice seemed to be made with powder. Not drinkable. If you're looking for a hotel along the highway, I would drive a little further in hopes of finding a better place to stay. read more

We stayed in your motel last week. We normally stay at a different motel in Glendive but you advertised WYNDHAM rewards so we decided to stay at the LaQuinta. When I called and made the reservation I told the person I was speaking to (think it was a manager) we had Wyndham Rewards and started to give our number. He said just give it to us when you check in. I did that and after we were given our room key he said to make sure we checked our rewards tomorrow to make sure it went through. A few days later we checked and no points. Waited a couple more days & still no points. My husband called Wyndham Rewards and he was informed you weren't even on the program. It was on your ad at the time I made the reservation and why did you lead me on about the rewards if you weren't on the program. I feel we were lied to just to get a reservation. I do have to say your motel is very clean.The breakfast was a disappointment. We were in the dining area at 8AM and alot of the hot breakfast was already gone. I would have to say our stay was okay but being lied to has left us with a very bad feeling about ever staying with you again. read more
