Theodore Roosevelt National Park consists of two distinct, non-contiguous units roughly 80 miles apart, connected by US-85. I have not yet visited the South Unit although look forward to doing so in the future. You can drive the 28 mile round trip scenic drive or stop along the way and hike the many trails they have along this drive. There is plenty of parking and places to explore along the way. The center is filled with information about the park and cool souveniers such as bison socks. The person there was friendly and knowledgeable. They have very clean bathrooms as soon as you enter the North Unit, which was nice and convenient. I learned a lot about Theodore Rosevelt before coming here and learned that he was known as the "conservation president" and profoundly shaped American environmental policy by placing ~230 million acres of public land under federal protection. I'm grateful for this because so much natural beauty was preserved for all to enjoy. His life was interesting as well and after the loss of his wife and mother, hours apart, found solitude and healing in North Dakota. There is so much peace and beauty in this park and so much to explore and learn. Highly recommend checking out this visitor center and Theodore Rosevelt National Park.

I had no idea what the rate was supposed to be, but my mom had received verbal confirmation that it was a flat fee of $99 per night for the wedding, totaling about $198 + tax. What they don't tell you is that they charge per person in the room -- which is absolutely ridiculous, especially since the room sleeps six! When I brought this up, I was told, "No, that's right. We charge per head." I replied, "The room sleeps six. It should just be a flat rate across the board." The employee insisted that "all the rooms here and in Medora do it that way." I told her that was nonsense -- because no hotel or Airbnb charges hidden per-person fees like that -- and she got upset that I said "horseshit." Apparently, that was enough for her to tell me to leave and nearly take my receipt. This charge will be disputed, because you can't advertise a flat event rate and then secretly tack on extra "per head" charges after the fact. The food itself was decent, but even that experience wasn't great -- I was snapped at during the wedding dinner because my tray wasn't on the "bottom" of the conveyor when going through the line. There's no reason to yell at paying guests over something that small. As for the room, we were located near the campers. That wasn't the problem -- but waiting 30 minutes for hot water to reach the shower definitely was. The sink got hot instantly, so that made zero sense. Then we found a live worm in the bed my mom was sleeping in, and the door didn't seal properly, which probably explains the centipede we found inside too. Overall, the food was the only halfway decent part of the stay -- but between the surprise "per head" charges, rude staff, and bugs in the room, I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

He Didn't explain anything. So let me mention a few details about the room. The curtains including the curtain rod did not even extend to cover the window fully. There was used soap in the shower and there was only 1 towel for 2 people. According to my reservation confirmation and their website a continental breakfast is included but the only food in breakfast room was stale bread and cereal. After we checked in we never saw anyone that worked there again. Did run into a young couple who told me that they had to sleep outside in vehicle bc despite paying for a room online. They couldn't not raise anyone by shouting or using the phone at desk. My husband walked by the front desk several times in the morning and saw no body. He did see however that the laundry room was completely nonfunctional. Not that we needed it but others often wash clothes on an extended trip. There appeared to be several, like almost all the rooms on 2 nd floor unoccupied. In that case why not put us in a room that didn't face highway and hear all the highway noise? The girls were all so nice, but they are clearly not professional photographers. The photographer was "checking her lights" and took at least 2 photos that we were not ready for. We never saw the photos on the camera, so we couldn't adjust our poses to fit our liking. We trusted the photographer and the other girls who stood around watching, and they said it looked great. We never saw the pictures or were told to adjust our pose. When we finally saw the photos on the computer, we didn't like any of them. To take more, even though it was their fault, they would charge us more money. We were going to be charged a sitting fee no matter what. I felt like crying, and almost did. We found 2 different photos that we still didn't like, and they were able to photoshop them together, which they did great. We bought the photo and the most expensive frame, but each day we see this photo in our home, we dislike it more, and feel cheated. Instead of looking like an arm wrestling match, the photo just looks like we really don't like holding hands. It might be slower to show customers their poses on the camera, but it would do wonders for customer satisfaction. If you have extra money that you don't care about wasting, this place is fine. If you want a product you will love, wait for a different shop.

My husband and I came here, thinking it was a local hotel and not a chain, but it is a chain(albeit a dispersed one), specifically meant for railroad/construction employees (This website explains that: https://lodgingenterprises.com). The hotel rooms had a full kitchenette: full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a two-burner little induction stove top. There was a pot and a pan, a single bowl, a single plate, a single set of silverware (fork, knife, spoon), and a single coffee cup. The bed was set up for one person (two pillow, stacked on top of each other in the middle of the bed, and there were only two bath towels ( the THINNEST towels I've ever experienced in a hotel, but adequate). That being said, it was nice enough. The breakfast was made-to-order (You get vouchers for two eggs, any style, hash browns, choice of sausage, bacon or ham, and choice of toast or pancake, plus coffee or tea). It's definitely better than your average hotel breakfast. And the WiFi was free, and reliable--we watched the latest Game Of Thrones on our laptop, and it didn't buffer at all. The blackout curtains were the best blackout curtains I've ever had in a hotel room, too. The bathtub was deeper than average, which made for a nice soak after a week of camping. The mattress was firm but not uncomfortable (and I have a back injury, so I'm particularly sensitive to that). They do have a AAA rate, but be sure to ask for it at the beginning, or they'll have to redo your reservation completely :) All in all, this hotel was serviceable, but not the local gem we were expecting after reading the existing Yelp reviews.

Me and my family was robbed of money during our trip out West and our vehicle was blown up, these people are small town Angels if I have never seen one for myself. They helped us when we couldn't find any help with payment and kept us off the streets for quite a few days and they never treated us any different then any of the other guests. They fed us and took really good care of us and took care of my mom really well and when her oxygen machine was not working proper Debbie jumped in there and really helped us out making the call to make arrangements for it to be serviced at once . Forever I feel like I owe these people for they saved me and my family and for that alone I would rate this motel 5 out of 5 stars. Way to Go !!
