A couple of things that made my experience with Joby and Penn Auto Body special. I couldn't get any response about my claim from Progressive. It took nearly 3 weeks before I had a meaningful conversation with a person. Within an hour of connecting Joby with the insurance company rep, I had an answer. The best answer. He has built relationships in the industry that are valued and they trust him. Joby provided a high level of communication and service. The car wasn't just fixed it was beautiful... I fell back in love with my 13 year old Acura TL. 2 weeks after taking delivery of my car I ran the (fixed) front bumper into a high curb. He took care of it again and wouldn't even take a tip. My brand new truck got damaged by hail in the recent tornado. I was so upset. Penn Auto Body once again made the process so easy and my truck looks like nothing ever happened to it. They worked with Enterprise on the rental and even washed my truck on the outside and cleaned the whole inside. Joby is so nice and provides the best communication and customer service. Excellent work on my scratched up (finicky) BMW X5. There was modest damage from wear and tear and Penn Auto did a great job on the repair!! Would 100% recommend they do your work, as any future repairs that I need will be given to them. The only critique (VERY MINOR) was they missed an area requiring buffing that the owner personally came outside to rectify when I picked it up. This is a very minimal complaint, but the itemized bill included this at 1 hour labor and he took about 5 minutes to buff it (LOL). I didn't complain, its all good. They made it look new. Thompson BMW Auto body had done work on this vehicle in the past and this matched the quality hands-down. (The X5 gets beat up a lot.....) Lastly, again minor, but: They had 3 OEM wheels refinished at a secondary specialist and this work was EXEMPLARY!! I mean the wheels looked new and they were originally curb-rashed very badly. However, (and this is a very minor point; don't overthink it) but they scratched the lug areas up re-installing them, and then they torqued the lug nuts WAY PAST the manufacturer recommendation of 105 ft-lbs (142 N-m) of torque. When it was time to switch to winter wheels, I actually snapped a breaker bar loosening the lug nuts. For the uninitiated, over-torqued lug nuts can warp your $2500 rotors or damage alloy rims. No bueno, but no harm done, the rotors are good, the rims still like new. ANYWAY, When the winter set went on, I resolved that small matter. Given that I take the X5 to the mountains to ski, the shore to beach, and to work in snow, there is a VERY LIKELY chance PAB will see the X5 again for more work. read more

This might be the best small business of any kind, not just auto body repair, that I've ever brought work to. The workmanship was a solid A+ and the management was friendly and honest. The cost actually came in under the estimate, because they figured out how to fix one of the problems in a less expensive way. My back bumper had some damage that needed repair. Penn Auto Body helped me work with my insurance to fix my car in a timely manner with great communication throughout the process. Joby is the coolest guy. His dad owned this place before and he has the most amazing photo of Newtown in years past. Service is A1, and I should know, I think, at last count, that we have taken 3 or 4 cars there for repairs. ALWAYS done with a smile. Leaving Newtown now, so I am sorry to say we won't be going back, because we have moved, but if you ever have any body issues (auto body that is), take it right over to Joby. read more

Excellent service and honesty. I drove in expecting to have to leave my care and pay to have a mark on the side of my car fixed - I had tried to remove it myself at home with some compound. Instead, Joby took some paint thinner on a rag and removed for me within 30 seconds. No waiting and no fee. read more

Excellent! I had an issue with my bumper and didn't want to go through insurance. The guy gave me a very good estimate and the repair itself took about a day and a half. I got my car back and the bumper is perfect and new and the whole car had been washed and vacuumed. It felt like getting into a new car. A+, I will recommend them to everyone! read more
