DON'T TRUST YOUR VEHICLE TO THE VALET!! The valet driver returning my brand new vehicle hit a motocycle driver turning into the front entrance. It has been over 1.5 months since the accident and the Valet company (Towne Park) is still arguing estimates from their own preferred body shop. The hotel has done next to nothing to help out, either, in spite of their promises on the day and days after the accident. Since you have to use the Valet to park your vehicle at this hotel, think twice. read more

Wonderful spot to grab drinks and catch up with friends. This is a gorgeous hotel and bar, with ample seating and intimate vibes. The Honeycomb drink was my favorite and very strong, however it did feel like our group was being ignored in the beginning (although we were definitely the youngest there since this is a pretty upscale place). Definitely take your drinks and explore the hotel by the pool which has a gorgeous view of the harbor (and another bar!) as well as a cozy jungle-like path on the way there that has cute benches you can chill on. read more

So, day 2-3. Still no progress on items that were missing despite polite promises they would be attended to. Decor is great, pool lovely, but you knew that. Sagamore- please up your service game! read more

Celebrated a 70th birthday party here in the restaurant and got him a room in the hotel. I must say that this is one gorgeous/sexy/sophisticated hotel and restaurant that I have ever seen smack dab in the city! Looking at the menu of the restaurant, one might be hesitant to go with the prices, BUT the food is worth it depending on what you order. The Tomahawk cut for $125 is enough for 2-3 people and can be reasonable, however the Caesar salad which is made right at your table on a salad cart at $16 per plate/person is NOT worth it. The service is pretty good between the wait staff, runners, managers and busboys all working together. However, when new staff is introduced they don't really spend a lot of time teaching them the small things that make a good restaurant a great restaurant. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful restaurant and hotel and well worth a visit just to see what is the draw of this awesome place. The rooms have had a lot of attention given to them, no expense spared with heated tiles in the bathroom, sofas at the end of the bed in front of a large flat screen tv, awesome views of the harbor, an infinity pool with gorgeous views and privacy to the utmost. Access to the rooms are secured by the front desk just to enter the hotel portion. Would have loved to stay, but it wasn't my birthday! read more

During my stay at the Sagamore Pendry,  I couldn't help feeling like this hotel reminded me of someone. And then it hit me - an awful boyfriend! Sagamore Pendry is absolutely gorgeous. Harbor views, a trickling pool, deep bronzes and woods. There's a lovely outdoor garden with a chubby horse sculpture and an indoor bar that looks like a speakeasy. The decor is top notch. And yet, if you asked me if the Sagamore Pendry has the deeper things that make a relationship succeed - trust, honesty , attentiveness- I'd say absolutely not! I was stuck in the hotel waiting for an hour for someone to clear out the mini fridge with their expensive snacks so we could use it for our actual food. I called twice and each time they told me what I wanted to hear "yes we'll come right away." They did in fact not come. No one came this whole weekend. And then, friends and I gathered in the luxurious garden area for drinks and once we arrived we'd found leftover drinks and bottles from another party. Of course, the front desk whispered sweet nothings in our ear and told us that they'd come clear the garden so we could enjoy. And they never did. The one time they did show up was when we asked for extra towels - but they arrived with floor towels. Not to mention, our room was full of ants. I would only recommend the Sagamore Pendry if you're sure what you're looking for. Sometimes it's nice to go out into something pretty and ogle at it. Sometimes you need a place you can trust and that looks out for you. In that case you might want to stay single rather than hooking up with the Sagamore Pendry. read more

Wonderful stay in August! Fabulous place. The customer service from the moment you pull up was A+. The place is big so no one knew me by name. But nice just the same. Suite spacious and bathroom and tub excellent. Harbor view nice and pool and bar area fabulous. Had breakfast poolside/water front. Loved the fire pits at and places to lounge. I will return. read more

Beautiful hotel. I was visiting my friend in Baltimore, we walked around the harbor and had drinks here. Froze was the most basic drink ever for $12. It was strong, a little too strong. I didnt get any sweetness. The view was spectacular. Come around sunset so you can see. This hotel is quite big, there are several areas for drinks. There is also an indoor bar near the big horse/ botanical area. There is also another cocktail area with more seatings. read more

(Review is solely based on pool area, not entire hotel) Recent review: I have unfortunately had to adjust my rating of the Pendry from 5-stars to 3-stars as a result of both this and last week. I attended originally for their "Tuesdays by the pool" special, which was free entry. This is something I truly enjoyed as someone who lives in Baltimore but can't necessarily afford to see places like the Pendry. However the following Tuesday, my party and I were turned away due to a reservation policy that was not made aware to patrons prior to arrival. No one was informed via social media or their website. This was disappointing as I showed up in a party of 4. My party and so many others left feeling annoyed. Regardless, this week I made a reservation under the circumstances they requested (3pm the Monday beforehand). My reservation was for 7:30pm. By 7pm they conveniently closed the pool due to rain, that which stopped before my reservation was set to have started. I also found out that this was their last Tuesday open for the entire year. I tried to call but there is nobody who answers the telephone at this hotel. The phone line leads to a voicemail box that is full. I'm shocked that a luxury hotel of this caliber runs their business by the seat of their pants. I would like to come back one day, but the Pendry clearly isn't the most welcoming place. Disappointing... Previous review: I visited the Pendry's outdoor pool that overlooks the Baltimore harbor and I can't even begin to describe how lovely this experience was. The Pendry boasts a great poolside bar, a relaxing courtyard with plenty of greenery, and a temperate pool that sits above the harbor water in view of the Domino's Sugar factory. My friend and I stopped here on one of their free-entry Tuesdays and enjoyed a Passionfruit Margarita and Espresso Martini, both served frozen. My drink was delicious, however it was popular; so when I went to order my second, I was told the machine needed 15 minutes to make more (c'est la vie). There were quite a few people there so seating became scarce, but it was not too overwhelming. I definitely enjoyed myself and recommend coming on a Tuesday for a free entry while their promotion still lasts! Will be back soon. read more

For my money, would recommend staying pretty much anywhere else. They charge as much as or more than the Four Seasons with a worse pool and none of the amenities. read more

Rooms: This is a high end hotel so I understand the room pricing. Especially in relation to what's currently around it and the quality of active restaurants and shops that are within walking distance. My issue is how the rooms are advertised. Rooms that are harbor view really just have a look into a small inlet and a view shops. Bit those are more expensive than courtyard rooms and the courtyard is beautiful and much more extravagant in comparison. To be clear I'm not speaking of rooms that have views of the Actual harbor with boats and what not. Service: It was fantastic. The employees all seemed to be filled with joy when you walk into the front entrance and the front desk. Room service wasn't bad. There were no delays and the food was just as it was If dined in. Your car is valet parked a few blocks down the street and I'm not too sure where. I believe ots a parking ramp shared by another building but there was no assurance that your vehicle was safe or covered by the hotel. I would absolutely go back and I plan too. I recommend anyone looked for a nice place to crash and enjoy themselves to give it a try. I do feel for those that have been and didnt have as good of a time as us. Perhaps give another wack. Food: We had breakfast twice and dinner once.both were prepared very well. My only issue was my Well Done steak came our rare. That was easily corrected with a minute extra on the grill. Surrounding Area: if you like walking there are plenty of bars shops and boat rides you can catch to go to various locations around the bay area. read more

Sagamore Pendry, along with the Four Seasons, is probably the most luxurious hotel in Baltimore. The hotel is decorated with beautiful art, has free wi-fi, a scenic infinity pool overlooking the city, and a garden patio with a champagne vending machine. The hotel occupies the Recreation Pier, a landmark building in Fell's Point, that was left empty for nearly two decades before reopening as the Pendry, thanks in part to a big investment from Under Armour's Kevin Plank. Sagamore is helping to rewrite the narrative of Baltimore. read more

Randomly came here as I was eating dinner on the other side of the street and noticed a really cool building that looked very inviting. Ended up coming and am so glad I did! This place is an absolute must go if you are in Baltimore. Grab a drink, walk around and enjoy the beautiful architecture and garden! Do keep in mind that this is a hotel, so be sure to be polite, but most of it is open to guests that eat and drink there. Ambiance/Service: The service staff is awesome and they will make you any drink you are looking for. They were extremely accommodating and made amazing cocktails! They allowed us to walk the premise, sit down at benches inside the hotel atrium and just enjoy the surroundings. Food/Drinks: Did not eat here, but the cocktails were very well made and not super expensive. Had the highest quality rye in my old fashion and it was still well priced. Absolutely recommend going to this place if you are in Baltimore. You will not be disappointed. read more

My partner and I stayed at the Pendry for nearly a month while visiting for work. We stayed in both a ground level patio King room and an upper level Studio with balcony and bath tub. I've stayed in many nice hotels and the Pendry stands up against the best of them. It is a beautiful building with views of the water, a private garden patio, and artfully designed spaces. The staff is attentive, friendly, and deserving of the 5 star rating. We were greeted by name and every request and question was quickly answered. The ground floor rooms are great because they are easy to access and many boast a private patio, which is a really nice bonus for any hotel. If you are sensitive to sound, I recommend you choose a different room, though, as the patios share the larger public garden space and sometimes are busy/loud (especially on the weekends, with weddings and private parties). The upper level Studio room was fantastic, and well worth the upgrade. We had a balcony looking over the water, huge bath tub, 1.5 bathrooms, living room, and multiple tv's. It was super quiet and private. Room service is from the Rec Pier restaurant and is very good, though a little limited if you don't like steak or pasta. Breakfast is great but again, limited menu. The only minor downside is parking and access. Valet is offered but is pricey and sometimes is a long wait to get your car. The area is historic and roads are small and congested especially on the weekend. But it is also an area full of restaurants, a Whole Foods, 7-Eleven, coffee shops, etc. We will definitely stay at the Pendry again. read more

We just hosted my husbands 40th at the Pendry and had all of our guests stay at the hotel. When we were looking for a place to show off Baltimore to our friends from out of town the first place on our list was the Sagamore Pendry. The rooms and the entire hotel are drop dead gorgeous, the service was impeccable and we felt so well taken care of the entire time. Particularly would love to thank Napheissa for getting the event organized for us and Patrick on the day of making every detail perfect. Also thanks to Irfan at the pool! As a professional event planner who has not only held events and weddings for clients here but now an event for myself I can't recommend the property enough. read more

We had an amazing, relaxing long weekend here to celebrate our anniversary. This was our first getaway since the pandemic started and felt very safe and comfortable. There were various measures taken to ensure safety around the hotel. The room was very nice with a harbor view, and we didn't have a problem spending much of our time in the room. Though there are plenty of great restaurants in the surrounding area, we also had great meals on site. My favorite meal of the stay was the crab pasta (Linguine Finni?) I had for dinner while sitting in the pool area. It was so rich and delicious. My husband ordered a steak and fries and we left stuffed and satisfied. There are also plenty photo ops if you like to take flicks especially in the courtyard which is full of greenery and a Moet vending machine. Overall, I think what we enjoyed the most was the friendliness and hospitality shared by the staff. We were always greeted and/or offered amenities throughout our stay. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again in the near future. read more

This is just an all around great hotel. The location as well as the service was great! I spent my birthday here, and they were nice enough to upgrade me to a water view. The room was clean & spacious, with a nice bathroom & shower. The view was also nice. The hotel provides it's guest with robes & slippers as well. They also provided hand sanitizer and a mask. I left my room to go to the pool & when I returned I had a cupcake & a birthday card from the hotel. That was a nice touch! This is supposed to be one of the best hotels/resturant in Fells Point, but if you can't make an Old Fashioned the right way you must be the boss's girlfriend brother with the bartending experience of a rickshaw driver. I'm writing because I was extremely disappointed with the event this evening. My friend arrived and there was immediate confusion with the reservation. The 6 of us were seated on a sofa though there were open tables around us. We waited for our server for 20 mins then I went and tracked her down. The champagne was warm and not iced. We ordered meals and had to hovered around the small sofa table. Our food was good but when we went to get the bill it took an hour to wrap things up. I know this because I called my husband at 8:52pm to pick us up and we paid the bill at almost 10pm. My friend Cindy who made the reservation was charged twice on her card. The waitress over charged us. The manager tried to fix the bill and after an hour came back to the table and the bill came down $40 or so. I thought the fiasco was over but this morning I was doing my Bill's and saw the Pendry charge only to discover I was over charged $300 for my bill. Overall the worst experience at the Pendry. I doubt we will continue to patronize the Pendry, since this wasn't the first bad experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PENDRY. read more

I have had the worst experience at this establishment I've been going to the pendry over years for luncheons private dinner etc. I was at the pool a few weeks ago and I was treat awful. We stayed there for 2 nights, in one of the suites with balcony & the harbor view - it was a gift from a family member for our wedding. The room was spacious and beautiful. But in the morning of check-out, I noticed a tick on my belly. I took a bath night before (it wasn't there), and I showered early in the morning and after drying with the towel, I noticed it was there. So it had to come from either the bed or the towel. I called the hotel multiple times after checking out (I had to go back to work early that day so didn't have time to report in person), I was put on hold for over 12 mins only to be disconnected. I emailed them to let them know of the incidence, and there have been no response, and it's been over a week. I expected better customer service from a hotel like this. Also, another friend ordered a bottle for us, and somehow it took them an entire day to deliver it to our room. If we didn't know about it, we probably never got the bottle. I don't know if it's just short staffed, or the management itself, but they really need to step up with their customer service - it's not living up to the architecture, decor, and the pricing. I thought about booking it for next year, for our first anniversary, but with this level of customer service, I probably won't - you get far better service at The Ivy. PS - poolside service was better. The duck was swimming in the pool and it was amusing. read more

Nothing but praise. I grew up in Baltimore and knew the Rec Pier as an empty building, except when it served as the site of the set for the Police HQ in "Homicide: Life on the Streets." Coming back for a visit after a long time away, I booked the 128 room Pendry and was impressed from my first contact. Saved a bit of money by booking a non-refundable rate more than 14 days in advance. I receive an email shortly before the stay from the hotel concierge, introducing her serves in advance of our visit. From the greetings of the doormen to the front desk, nothing but attentive, friendly service. There was apple cider at check-in that could be spiked in the bar as a welcome drink. Ginger snap cookies, freshly baked and a guitar for use by any guest who wants to plunk out some tunes - as one guest did on a Sunday morning. We stayed in Room 227 - which was perfect for a sitcom-obsessed TV watcher - along no sighting of Jackée. The artwork is amazing, from the Star-Spangled Banner that greets you to the 3,500 pound Botero "Horse with Bridle." Fully equipped gym and a breathtaking infinity pool. The Patrick Sutton designed room was gorgeous and fully equipped with two closets (which light up when you open the door). We stayed on a courtyard room - with floor to ceiling steel-cast windows looking down on the interior courtyard (with its Moet champagne vending machine). King-sized beds Flat screen TV with instructions on how to cast your favorite apps from your phone. One of the best showers ever (being used to low flow showers here in Seattle, the shower was a real treat) with a fully stock of fancy soaps/shampoo. The location is perfect - we spent the weekend exploring the cobble-stoned Fells Point on a 65 degree day in Baltimore and brunched on a crab cake at the Chop House restaurant and had martinis at the whiskey bar. Truly one of the best hotel experiences ever - and to think, I had to come home to Baltimore to find it. read more

The ambiance is amazing. It is just about the best thing that has happened to Baltimore in awhile. Just being in the hotel, you feel like you are in a different world. The pool area and green room are so beautiful. A friend and I decided to try out their restaurant "The Rec Pier restaurant" during mid week, around happy hour. The truffle fries we got were amazingggg. So flavorful, and cut so thin. They were fun to eat. The reason why I can't give it 5 stars is just because of our entrees. We didn't love our entrees. I got the linguini Fini- comes with spicy Maryland blue crab. I was expecting a "wow" and didn't really get it. My friend got the Spaghetti and also felt kind of the same way. I'll have to come back and try a different entree. read more

This hotel has to one of the best hotels I've ever been fortunate enough to stay in. The customer service from the time I arrived until I left was amazing! The valet was very nice, Terence, the gentleman that helped me with my luggage and walked me into the hotel to the front desk was super nice. Christian checked me in and Luke took my luggage up to my room. The hotel decor was amazing! I loved the suite! It was roomy and beautiful! We had wonderful view of the harbor, and it was great weather this weekend, so to see so many people out walking, a couple taking their engagement photos, and a wedding party taking photos. It was just a comfortable and relaxing stay! I most definitely return to this hotel whenever I'm in Baltimore. I'm completely smitten with this hotel. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable, however I really wish they would do some work on their customer service. The cancellation policy is inconvenient and not well disclosed so beware. There also seems to be some poor communication and training amongst the staff which can cause misunderstandings and logistical headaches. The staff is hit or miss. Some seem to genuinely care and want to be helpful but I noticed some weird attitude from a couple and also observing their interactions with other guests. The woman who checked us into the pool was kind of unpleasant to everyone. I don't mind the bar prices because it's pretty much what I'm used to paying in most midtown NYC bars. Naturally, hotel bars are usually a little more expensive. But please, if you were going to charge $12 for a glass of rose at least make it a decent pour. When my glass of wine came out, it was basically a thimbleful in the bottom of the glass. There's also no table service at the bar which seems kind of lame considering that it's supposed to be a high-end property. The property itself is stunning and the views are amazing. We appreciated the upgrade to a superior room overlooking the harbor. The bathroom was bigger and more comfortable than most other hotels I've stayed in. However, the water pressure was pretty poor. The beds, linens, and other finishes are superb and you can tell that they did put a lot of thought into that though The pool and courtyard are attractions onto themselves and I absolutely loved the architecture and interior design. I wish my home could look like that. Overall, this is a nice property and worth it for a night or two if you happen to be in Baltimore. However, I feel like they rest on their laurels a bit as one of the only luxury hotels in town. Artifice is fine and good but don't forget that customer service is what makes repeat guests. read more

Not worth the ever-increasing price. While the exterior and interior design is nice, the standards of the hotel are rotting. We arrived late one night (11pm) and asked front desk for a room service menu. No room service. Instead we received a lazily photocopied menu of what's in the minibar (which the clerk described as "late-night menu"). I'm sorry but you can't pretend to be a luxury hotel and not feed your guests. Or act like M&Ms are a culinary offering. Management needs to rethink this policy and offer a minimum of kitchen prepared grab and go. If the hotel needs to save money they can let go any of the three "greeters" who asked our name outside and pretended to mouth it into their walkie-talkies only to find a befuddled desk clerk asking who we were moments later. Start there. The Fell's Point neighborhood is quaint and full of history, crackheads, and drunks. This is well-known. Less well-known is that while beer flows like vomit into a trash can, the food stops. Literally nothing in the vicinity of the hotel serves food past 11pm. At least the Pendry is consistent with that low standard. read more

I was here last night to finalize and make reservations for my Birthday Shenanigans. This place is amazing. Everyone is so nice. Down to the door men and the hosts everyone is so helpful. When I went to the pool side I met a guy named Nicholas and he explained to me the pricing of the cabana's and how everything works. They don't take reservations so I just hope that I can get a good space. The Cabana's are $500 to rent and I cannot get into the pool unless I have hotel reservations. Beautiful space. Check in was a little off, had early check in,which doesn't always work out, understandably. My issue is a telephone call would've been helpful. I live up the street, and was celebrating a wedding anniversary, I could've had brunch, etc while waiting. For the price point, small things go a long way. Room was great, bed, bath, etc. Another issue is I unfortunately left a vanity mirror & a expensive face wash, once I realized it, less than 24 hours, nope, not there. Again it's the small things. It wasn't the holiday inn express off of route 40. Game needs to be stepped up. As you have responded, they are all canned acknowledgements. Furthermore, I am a restaurant owner, and by chance a customer left very expensive sunglasses, of course they were there two days later. Disingenuous response which somehow has made me more irritated. read more
