I love the Pendry dining and drinking options. The Pool Bar is stunning. Light meals are well prepared, and the French fries are the best in town. The view, the breeze, watching a game on the tv while watching little sailboats racing or a big yacht with full sails up makes a perfect visit. The atrium has a Moët vending machine. What can I say about that? Indoor dining and drinks in an elegant setting are amazing. Go ahead, dress up for it on a date. Impress the parents, treat your pals. The whole experience is both stimulating and relaxing. Don't miss it. If you're local, you'll want to come back! read more

I went in on a Friday night with two friends for drinks and the hostess told us to either go to the bar or sit in the lounge. She said if we sat in the lounge there was a server that would come to us. We sat there for 30 minutes as a few servers passed our table and did not stop at our table, give us menus - nothing. We gave up and went back to the hostess and asked if we could just order from the bar and she said we could but did not have a server come to our table at all. The bar tender shoo-ed us away and told us a server should be in the lounge and something about another bar we had to order from. We did not see this "other bar". My friends and I just got up and left as we were really displeased with how everything turned out. Its really pretty inside and I was so excited to have a fun night with my friends there so it's a shame that this is how it turned out. read more

Wow. What a beautiful hotel! From the entrance way to the back area by the pool, overlooking the water- everything is spectacular! The ambiance is nice. The service is nice. Didn't get a chance to check out the actual rooms, but had some cocktails in the bar area and they were unique, fresh and perfectly portioned in ingredients and liquor. The best part is you see the bars across the street so it feels like you're out in the usual fells area, but in a classier setting. Heading back to check out the restaurant next. read more

Beautiful hotel set right on the water and the heart of fells point. Check in and check out went very smoothly and waters were offered by receptionists both times. 12 am checkout and usually can accommodate a late checkout. Hotel has a beautiful layout with cocktail bar, lounge, outdoor courtyard (with Moët Chandon vending machine) , pool. Stayed in the delux courtyard room which was spacious and had a quaint little balcony facing courtyard. Amazing shower and plenty of full length mirrors! Only downside was of the bed, not as comfortable as expected but there were macroons by your bed side at night! Major plus was the pool- set right on the waterfront. Chairs were 1st come 1st serve with towels provided and service started at 11am. Chill pool not filled with tons of children splashing or college kids being rowdy. Would certainly return to this establishment again! read more

My daughter and I checked into our room and there was already someone in our room. When we came back to tell the front desk they acted surprised and almost like we were liars. They did give us another room which was fine. When I went to check out and they asked me how the stay was I told them about my disappointment and the front clerk said she would have her manager call me to discuss and that the bill would not be processed until we chatted. I never got a call from anyone and the bill that went through was higher than expected due to ridiculous parking rates. NEVER NEVER NEVER stay at this place. Horrible management who does not care whatsoever about its guests. read more

Great hotel. Beautifully done inside and very nice rooms. Problem we had was it felt like we were on the set for TV Series Ballers. Crazy crowded. Knock on door at 4am. Party in hall at 2:30am. Great location. Really cool hotel. Just be ready for a party. read more

Expected more - Very Disappointed. Came for free swim night expecting to drink some cocktails and mingle with some girlfriends but arrived to disappointing service and lots of kids running around. It was clear that the bar was not prepared for this many people to show up and it took over an hour for a single underwhelming drink. They did not have glassware, they were not clearing dirty glasses, and there was no understood system for the beach chairs. If you're looking to relax and drink this is not the place to go. Too much screaming/fighting, too many young kids, and definitely not enough drinks flowing to keep the night going. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom. The hotel is beautiful, the service and experience did not live up to it. read more

The Pendry has a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful view of fells point. The front desk staff, parking valets and bartenders are wonderful and the drinks delicious. Unfortunately, that's where the magic ends. At their price point the the dinner service should be first rate. It was absolutely not. Our server was unresponsive and MIA most of the night. We literally had to chase him down for the check. The food we ordered was ok but nothing memorable or worth mentioning. It was basically "good hotel food." Bottom line, if you have the money to spend on high end dining in Baltimore, go elsewhere. read more

Definitely not worth the money. Beautiful hotel but pool/cabanas are not near to the standard that you would expect at such an expensive hotel. Room was over $1,000/night and did not even have a table. When we got room service, one of us had to eat from the bed. Advertised a special bar that we were anxious to visit but it was closed at least through the fall. Restaurant also had limited hours. Most all the People that worked there were all very nice but hotel manager did nothing when we expressed disappointment with the room (even though we also were paying for others that were joining us. We had a great meal at the Four Seasons and will stay there next time. read more

I recently stayed at the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore for a few nights only to realize that my room had bed bugs. I have 100+ bed bug bites covering my body and found bed bugs in my suitcase after I returned home.  I reported this to the hotel once I realized the bites were bed bugs, not mosquitos or ants, so they could take appropriate action to clean the room. The Pendry replied a few days later with a formulaic response informing me that a room inspection did not find any bed bugs and they had not received any other complaints. It's not possible for me to have gotten them anywhere else so I'm sharing on this platform to raise awareness in case others have had this experience recently and received a similar response from the hotel. read more

Sagamore Pendry is a good hotel. The rooms are nice and the location is good. However, there are two issues: 1) Pool - the pool is not exclusive to hotel guests. Some of the guests were loud, wasted, and taking up most of the pool. 2) Concierge - we asked to book a massage after a long haul international flight. The concierge never reached back out to us, even after placing two follow-up calls. Also, on that note, there is no in house spa. I understand the need to make money when the pool is underutilized during the summer, but the Pendry need to limit the number of guests here. If you can look past the pool and concierge, this hotel is a winner. read more

I love this spot every time I stop by! They were wildly accommodating to a walk-in group of 16 that trickled in and were only there for drinks. Nevertheless, we had great service and we were able to sit in the lounge and enjoy the chill atmosphere. I appreciate how you can walk out to the pool and see the incredible view of Baltimore and they just recently added a champagne vending machine that no one can get enough of! It's a charming blend of grit and glow that suits charm city and the inner harbor. read more

Stayed at this lovely Hotel last night for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The ambience of the Hotel is very beautiful and I loved the big comfy bed. We had guests in town staying at our place for our nuptials- so Mrs Miner and I opted to stay here Caveat - we're locals and walked to the hotel I didn't know if I had stayed at a nicer hotel - this one is near the top for me Dinner in restaurant was sublime If weather is good, you need to do some time on the pool deck. Moon was rising when we were out there and the moon was so close that it felt like we're halfway to it There's not much to complain about but, since guests are paying about $555, here are some minor ones: I like a good Light but there was no way to turn on light near console and coffee area without turning on overhead view light The music never stopped at the Sagamore. Tunes start promptly at 9:00 AM in courtyard- so if your room overlooks courtyard, you probably won't sleep through it TV is nice with a couch to view but, in our room, if you wanted to watch from bed, it was too small. We didn't come here to watch TV. So, minor issues aside, our stay at Sagamore helped us find the high gear of our soul read more

Stayed here (in a suite) for my friends 30th birthday. Service was 5 stars. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Whenever you called for any type of accommodation (extra pillows etc) they would come extremely quickly. The pool was very nice and the staff there were great too. So why only three stars? For an upscale place like this, I expect a certain level of comfort from the beds and the rooms in general. The bed in the suite was wonderful but the pull out couch was ATROCIOUS. I have stayed on pull out couches before - as recently as a few months ago in a Marriott and it was nowhere near as cheap and terrible as the one I stayed on last night. Furthermore, when you're paying over $600/night I also don't expect there to be random stains on the carpet. Again - I wouldn't think twice if it were a regular room or not as upscale of a place - but for some place that tries to pass itself off as upscale and super posh - the beds should be comfortable and the floor clean. Would definitely recommend visiting here - just don't think I'd stay here again. read more

The Pendry is a beautiful property, the room with the balcony was breathtaking, the pool was a delightful experience during fleet week. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and was impressed by the service; however, last night we went to their lounge to enjoy some drinks after dinner. I went to the restroom to see 6-7 teenage girls - smoking in the bathroom, two of them were sitting on top of the sink making out as I was trying to wash my hands. I ignored this and went and enjoyed another drink. The second time I went into the restroom I was faced with another group of teenagers who were clogging up every single sink with weed and there was water overflowing. I immediately went to tell the concierge, I was more disappointed in the lack of urgency when I shared this information. They also seemed to not be moved, which tells me that they are not surprised. I would recommend the Pendry change up their policies as this is not the reputation they want to have. This isn't assuring the safety of the hotel guests and as I understand that a hotel should be open to everyone; however when these behaviors occur there needs to be certain actions in place to minimize future events. I was going to leave today recommending this to our family and friends but I don't think I will after what I witnessed. read more

Took a trip to the highly anticipated Sagamore Pendry Hotel. We decided to pop in for a cocktail and wind down after a busy work event. We were given a tour of the breathtaking hotel by the incredible Aaron Luna (The Hotels Banquet Manager) before he led us to the gorgeous bar and lounge. We immediately fell in love with the carefully crafted cocktails that our knowledgeable bartender Matt Slivinski created for us. Although we worked our way around the menu... the GinBrusco was definitaly the fav! We decided to stay and admire the gorgeous scenery (the beautiful art and design that surrounded us) over some small bites. We wanted just about everything and asked Matt to describe almost every item. He did, in great detail, although he was not much help because he made everything sound amazing. We decided on the Beef Tartar, Ricotta with Crostini, Goat Cheese (that's right we ordered two cheeses) and the Wedgini salad (to off-set the fact that we ordered two cheeses). The food was beautifully plated, fresh and memorable. We even got a visit from Chef Conor Hanlon who was preparing the staff for dinner service. Although it was drizzling, we enjoyed a stroll in the courtyard and snapped a photo in front of the massive horse and beautifully lit fire pit. The ambiance and highly attentive staff were on point! We felt like we were in another world. We look forward to many more dinner dates, weekend get-aways and special events! #SagamorePendryHotel #Doingitright #WeloveKevinPlank read more

This place is *thoroughly* luxurious. It feels like storied magic and I would never want to stay anywhere else. For so long I fantasized about being here whenever I'd pass it by taking my son to school, and I cannot tell you how much it pleases me to be able to say: all aspects of my stay in the Sagamore Pendry were given to me beyond what I dreamed. Uncompromising masterminds had to have built this. The Pendry Suite, where I stayed, was appointed with the kind of quality consideration that makes me feel I'd rather be no where else. There's an industrial sturdiness evident all around that gave me this enjoyable, grounding and freeing sense of safety and comfort throughout the space. And at the same time, the finishes I was surrounded by were of such considerable quality ... I loved feeling part of this luxurious comfort. I didn't want to leave. I'll stay time after time. read more

Venue is beautiful. Food is amazing. Only issues is, server super slow at making drinks. We ordered food and desert. The desert came out first, then the food , then the drinks. I enjoy staying at this hotel when I am in Baltimore and have some free days between events. I decided to stay here with my family. Our experience this time was frankly horrible beyond the bellhop who was outstanding. Let me start with these simple points: 1) At the hotel swimming pool they wouldn't allow us to put items on our room, rather made us leave the pool, go to our room and get a credit card. I have never heard of a 5 star type resort doing this. What are we going to jump our tab? 2) Valet was fine. 3) In our room the bathroom door would not shut, hideaway sliding door, family of four in a two queen bay room, I called the first day, they never fixed it. Room was fine other than that expect telephone system to call the front desk was always on the fritz. 4) Next night there is a karaoke party that starts at 2:30am in the room next to us, every is awakened, we have to call downstairs, takes about 45 minutes for their security to resolve. 5) I spend every US Open watching it with my son as it is Father's day, well guess what, these hotel rooms do not carry NBC, and frankly, I did not feel like going to a bar with my son to watch it. You would imagine that a hotel of this level would at least have NBC. I know this sounds trivial but it is a family tradition. 6) We came in late in an attempt to get a desert and a coffee after dinner, at first they struggled to determine if a table was even open, after a long wait they finally sat us down and the waitress was great, but one of our tables literally was rocking like the room next to us the night before - she tried to fix it but I would imagine this hotel has the means to have steady tables. 7) I have stayed at Four Season Hotels, One and Only Resorts, Ritz Carlton's, and many five star hotels in NYC to SFO. This hotel is simply not at that par. 8) The guest services refunded our food chargers (maybe $150 dollars) for the all this. I didn't care about the $150 dollars, what I wanted was the type of stay I was used to at this hotel. 9) I called because they had not refunded the promised food charges from the food at the pool, I'm not much of a drinker, so I may have had one. I spoke to some bar manager who acted like he could care less and said he would look into it when he had time, asked the date we were there, and pretty much was as rude as he could have been. If you are planning a stay here please know that this has become a bit of a "party" hotel, and even through my AMX Signature Collection I didn't receive an upgrade. I would say this hotel needs to make some immediate improvements or it is going to see much less client retention. It would take quite a bit for me to stay there again and spend that type of cash again. Not too many options in Baltimore, but I think the Four Seasons just got a new client. The sad part is I am headed back to Baltimore, and love the property, but this experience made it very difficult to book there again. I will have to choose the Four Seasons. read more

I celebrated my Anniversary 11/14/20 here at Sagemore overall wonderful stay and great hospitality. Pricey. We stayed in Deluxe Harbor King. My husbands only two complaints was the rooms are small and didn't have desk or table for $485.00 per night but beautiful. Upscale design (see pictures below) with balcony. beautiful harbor views. Great customer service at reception desk and doormen at entrance were awesome. We order room service for breakfast. Food came quickly and hot. Food was delicious. Great experience would come again. read more

This review is for the pool bar restaurant. (The main restaurant is solid 4 stars but $$$) Awesome pool bar out back. Great vibe! But have some minor beef (get it!?) in 2 areas. 1) For some reason they stop selling food at 8 PM?? 8PM???? You've got people boozing and watching the sunset and then when they want some bar food to soak up the alcohol, the kitchen has "just closed." This happened to me twice already. No joke. If im willing to pay $18 dollars for a mediocre bar cheeseburger, the least they could do is serve it up outside of retirement community hours. C'mon this isn't Boca!! 2) Which brings me to: the cheeseburgers. Last year they had these amazing double thin patty cheeseburgers that were THE BOMB. But for some reason this year they've switched to single thick patties that cant help but be overdone. Mediocre at best. The fries are amazing though! Note to manager: If this place went back to double patty burgers and served them to at least 10pm the pendry pool would be our goto spot on a nice bmore night b/c the ambiance is incredible! read more

This place is goregous and beyond that the service is top notch. We arrived early and the hotel granted us early access with a free upgrade to beautiful harbor views from our room. The stay was perfect from start to finish. The staff is taking great care to maintain safety during the pandemic. Although we tried several times to get the hotel branded cloth masks that the staff were wearing and failed! lol. They supplied us with the standard surgical masks and other supplies in our room and at the front desk. We were hesitant to eat at the hotel because there are so many great eateries in the area but honestly, the best meal we had during our stay was the spicy crab pasta we ordered via room service. So, you can't go wrong staying in and ordering food from the hotel. The highlight of this visit for us was the pool. It was an awesome, chill vibe! We had small bites from the pool bar with our drinks and nice music playing in the background with mostly adults only. It was a nice diverse mix of people. With not too many outside guests - the staff does a good job at reserving the pool chairs and cabanas for guests of the hotel. Pool access is also 24 hours for guests - so we were able to get some time alone in the early hours. We booked via a promotion and were given a $100 credit towards incidentals. We were pleasantly surpised by how far that credit stretched to cover meals and drinks. Overall, I really enjoyed this mini getaway! I look forward to visitng another property under this brand. read more

The staff was welcoming from the moment we parked that car at valet and check in was a breeze. The vibe is a chic hotel and upscale. The details and hotel flow. We opted for the basic room which was pricey but we were impressed. The location was great on the water and so many food choices in walking distance. The 7 eleven down the street was great for small items needed. My only gripe is the bar closed what I would consider early and no dessert menu in the later evening hours. This review is associated specifically with the sales and management teams, and their lack of communications. BACKGROUND My fiancé and I decided to return to Baltimore, where we met, to have our engagement photos taken. We called the Pendry and asked if we would be able to take a few photos on property. The person who answered the phone said that it would be fine, provided that we were guests of the hotel. So, we made a reservation. LEAD UP Following the conversation, I attempted to reach the hotel several times through the web communication form as directed. None of these communications were returned. DAY BEFORE Nervous that I had not heard back from anyone at the hotel to validate locations, I called the hotel manager to understand why I had not heard back from anyone. It was at this point that the hotel manager informed me that she did not know who I talked to, but that the hotel does not allow any photos, of any kind, unless they are associated with a registered event. However she was willing to make an exception. For the nominal fee of $500, she would allow us up to 10 minutes to take a few photos in the hotels common areas, provided that there were no other guests in the vacinity. If there were, we would have to find another location. SUMMARY For a boutique hotel, there are several disappointing failures here: 1: Complete lack of communication. Who ignores emails from customers? 2: Lack of policy understanding. Your staff all needs to understand policies and communicate accordingly. 3: Policy inconsistency. The stated policy is inconsistent with the experience that I know others have had. 4: Lack of empathy. To be honest, I would be less upset if it had not been for the suggestion that a fee of $500, above the $500 /night rate for our reserved room, was any kind of a "favor." Are you kidding me? As a result, we are canceling our room reservation, dinner reservation, and will not be patrons of the hotel again. Additionally, we will make sure that everyone is aware of these experience so that they can make their plans and lodging decisions accordingly. It's sad to have such a negative experience hanging over what is supposed to be a fun day. This sort of thing would never have happened at the Four Seasons. Very, very disappointing. read more

Racially profiled. I have never been so uncomfortable and mistreated by a restaurant. Walked in with my dark complexion friend who has never been to Baltimore before. I asked to be placed on the waiting list. The hostess tries to convince me to go to another restaurant because there is a long wait. I told her that it was fine I don't mind waiting. She writes my name and number on the list and there is no one above my name. I never received a call or text... My light complexion boyfriend and I came here a couple weeks ago and had no problem before. All actions aside, the hostesses body language and tone of voice said it all. I may not have red bottom heels but my money is green. read more

I traveled here for a birthday getaway one month before COVID, and my stay was nothing short of amazing from beginning to end! The resort is modern and lovely, with attention to every detail. Really appreciated the complimentary cocktail when checking in. And the macaroons for turndown service were the best I've ever had, seriously, so fresh! Guests can also enjoy the gym, outdoor pool and picturesque courtyard. A great location for walking around Fells Point and the inner harbor. The atmosphere is hopping but if you are looking for a nice meal, don't be fooled by the ambiance, and keep going. We ordered crab cakes which came out raw - twice! Disappointed! read more

Hi! So I'll get to the point. I do come here frequently, mostly for drinks at both the poolside and the Cannon Room. I have eaten both at the main restaurant and the poolside. In terms of ambiance, they have done an incredible job of remodeling the space from what it used to be before. Its both spacious and comfortable. The Rec Pier Chop House- the main restaurant here, I wasn't too impressed when my wife and I came here. Service was not what you would expect for a classy hotel like this. The waiter seemed detached from his job, filled our water glass only once, and seem to me hiding in the back most of the time. Didn't even ask us how our meal was, and we had to launch a massive search party to try and pay. Overall, to be fair, we had the burgers, since we weren't feeling at all fancy. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The burgers are crappy. For $20 bucks, we expect better quality burgers, not something you could find at a tyke soccer team bbq outing. For burgers, go to Abbey's Bistro, Cooper's Tavern, or dare I say McDonalds. Since they've messed up our burgers multiple times, we are scared to taste other things on the menu. So, service by the poolside or the Cannon Room are a lot better. Friendly and attentive service is what you'll find here. In the Cannon Room specifically, you'll find a fantastic selection of whiskeys, and phenomenal mixed drinks. Bar tenders are approachable and really friendly. The Cannon Room is classy, with comfortable chairs, and a nice place to just lounge. The poolside bar is where we hang out a lot since its nice out now. Same kind of friendly and attentive service, with a nice bar overlooking the harbor. We come here on Fridays/weekends to enjoy a few drinks to top off a hard week. Hopefully, we can give the Rec Pier Chop House another go, but given our first impressions....well, first impressions are hard to change. Overall, as a local, the Cannon Room and the Poolside are awesome places to hang out. read more
