We interviewed several contractors for the complete demo and remodel of our master bathroom…read more Bancroft was by far the best communicator, the most reliable, and the most reasonably priced. Throughout the six week process of picking out materials, ordering them, and install, Gerald (manager) and Jimmy (owner) were fantastic! In fact, they were so hands on, that the owner even did the majority of install himself. But what really stuck out to us, was when they ran into more damage to the subfloor than anticipated, they did not take that as an opportunity to charge us more, and instead stuck to the original estimate, despite the extra labor. They also were flexible and happily agreed to a few minor cosmetic changes that I suggested during install. The project was done perfectly, and exactly on time. We will definitely use them again for our next project!

She was notified that the work was complete but when she arrived to look at it, there was building scraps and trash everywhere incluiding pieces of cut trim, stove wrapping, tools, etc. There was dirt everywhere and none of the new counters had even been wiped. They had failed to obtain the proper electrical permits to do the work. I paid $1600.00 for a custom built storage island which appeared to be pre-manufactured made from particle board --certainly not a custom built piece. They failed to install quarter round on the newly tiled floor leaving a visbable gap between the tiles and the baseboards. They installed a shelving unit but the wood did not quite fit to cover the area. When she asked habout this, she was told that they used scrap wood and that was all he had. When she notified Jim of her concerns, he cursed her and my brother out and said he was finished. She contracted with Jim in Match of 2017. He was contacted and requested to complete and finalize the job. She has not heard anything from him since May 2017. The work remains incomplete as of July 2017. I absolutely do NOT recommend using this company for any renovation or work. My mother was looking forward to moving back into her home after being away for several years. She is still unable to use the kitchen and move into her house. This company does not stand by their work; does not do a quality job; is not concerned with customer service or satisfaction.

They installed jacks, beams and sistered cracked joist. they also let us know that part of the problem was the high humidity in our Crawlspace so they encapsulated the entire Crawlspace and installed two dehumidifiers. They did great follow up and after a lot of work seem to have stopped the problems from getting worse, which is all we could ask. Every crew they sent was incredible - professional, friendly, hard working and efficient. All the crew leaders let us know exactly what they were doing and Adian even found and fixed issues with our HVAC ducts and registers that we didn't know about. it took a long time and, to be honest, was not cheap, but Bay does great work and follow up. we would use them again.

Please note that we went with Bay and the work they have done is excellent. I have been in my house for 10 years and I have never seen the pump work so good. Everyone gave us excellent customer services. The sales person was very thorough with his inspection and quote. The onsite manager and workers gave a timeline and was finished early. They also made sure that all areas where very clean. The office customer services made sure we where updated on scheduling. Ms. Amy in the accounting department is truly outstanding and gave us a wonderful experience thought  the whole process. Thank you Bay for all your hard work. Edward and Tangy Smith's

This is the first time I have shopped for myself (to get my home ready to sell). Yes, I was content with my Formica counter tops for all of these years! My home is a coastal one and my heart was set on Fantasy Brown hard marble/dolamite/quartzite and often referred to as granite. I wanted stone with gray green blue veining & two slabs not less than 117" in length. Not an easy task. Corine at Triton Stone Group stuck with me and text messaged photos of every stone they had that might work, then updated the texts along the way until a photo of slabs she sent was close to perfect so I trekked from Virginia Beach to Portsmouth to see the slabs in person. The slabs were just what I was after and finally my exhausting search was over! I cannot say enough about how wonderful and kind Corine was to me throughout this entire process. As a business woman who deals with a lot of different people in various businesses, I was blown away by how patient and persevering Corine was. In fact, I don't think I've ever dealt with anyone that accommodating. I learned that Triton has warehouses in Raleigh & Richmond that they can pull stones from to be shipped to Portsmouth. Corine connected me with one of the staff in Raleigh who was kind enough to text photos of slabs there that might be good matches for my goal. (Kudos to Ms. Yosra in Raleigh who wonderfully & patiently assisted Corine in helping find the perfect stone.) At a time when customer service seems to be lacking across all types of businesses, this excellent experience reminded me of the kind of customer service provided in the good ole days. I give Triton Stone the highest possible recommendation and especially Corine and her Raleigh associate, Ms. Yosra, for going above and beyond what I ever expected.

Roofing Recommendation for Neighbors…read more Just wanted to share a good experience in case anyone nearby is thinking about getting their roof checked. We recently had our roof replaced by Ventura Home Remodeling Inc., and they did a great job. Rafael Ventura (the owner) was personally involved the whole time along with his brothers, Jose S. and Jose E., which I really appreciated. It wasn't one of those jobs where the owner sells the project and disappears. What started as a normal shingle replacement turned into a little more once the old roof came off -- we found some water-damaged decking and even a squirrel entry point. Their crew handled everything professionally and made sure the roof structure was solid before installing the new shingles. Their pricing was very competitive, but they didn't cut corners. The crew worked hard, showed up on time, and cleaned everything up when they were finished. One thing I learned through this is that 20+ year old roofs can hide a lot of problems. Ours was worse than we thought. If you're wondering about your roof, it might be worth having Rafael take a look. He offers a free evaluation and gives you a straight answer.
