Getting ready to tie it down.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! 1. You will want to line up early so you can get your pick of an awesome tree. It's my family's annual tradition to come to Peltzer Pines and pick the biggest trees we can find. Bring some cocoa, coffee, donuts to enjoy while you wait for them to open and enjoy the gorgeous Silverado canyon views. 2. After you park, you walk around the hills to find your favorite tree, grab the tree tag, take it to the front, pay, drive your car up to the tree cutters and they'll tell you where to meet them. You can cut down your own tree or they can do it for you. They will also load and tie it to your car. 3. Depending on how tall, bushy and large the trees price range from low to high. Average might be around $50-120 for something between 6-7ft. But no matter what, it's worth it. Because there's nothing like the smell of a fresh tree, that's cut when you pick it out, lasts longer, a photo op for each year during the holidays and an experience that will give your family memories to cherish forever. 5/5

Peltzer Pines is a Christmas tree farm about 20 minutes from Irvine. We came on opening day - November 18th - to choose our tree. It's a popular farm and there were a lot of people here in the morning. It was our first time so it was a lot of fun walking the farm with our dog and finding our tree. They sell two different varieties. The lowest price we saw was $39 for a 3-4 foot tree. The trees are individually priced based on height, fullness and imperfections. Since our tree's going in a corner, we focused on finding one that had one "good side" rather than being uniform all around. I'd highly recommend coming on opening day to choose your tree. You can cut it and take it home that day but we chose to pay for our tree and come back on December 1st to take it home. They cut the tree for you and tie it to your car securely. Remember to bring a tip for your tree cutter.

Being a long time customer of Peltzer Pines, I was so disappointed at what happened yesterday and how I was treated. Our tradition first started when my husband surprised me by taking me to the Brea location to pick out a tree to celebrate our first Christmas together. Every year after, we've been back to carry on the tradition, now bringing our daughter to Silverado (since Brea has been closed). We went opening day to pick out our tree and went back this past Sunday to pick it up, hoping to decorate it when we got home. That's when our nightmare started. We first noticed a small MOUSE in the bed of our truck. I didn't think much of it because I understand that we're picking up these trees from a farm. Come to find that as we were watering the tree down, we found another and then, as we kept searching, more and more kept popping up! Six mice and 3 hours later, we gave up and decided to leave the tree outside, as I was not comfortable bring the tree into the house. I called the next day and spoke with Beth and let me just say, this is my last time every going to Peltzer Pines. She and her team did offer to clean the tree out for me. However, I live an hour away from the farm and when I told her I would need to take time off work to bring the tree back, her response was "It sure doesn't seem like you were working today" (I work from home and at the same time, I don't think I need to explain my work schedule to anyone other than my boss). I expressed to her that if I drove back out there, I would be happy to return the tree in exchange for any other tree, just not this one since I'm a bit traumatized from my experience. That wasn't an option. A credit for a tree next year also wasn't an option. SIX MICE later (I also don't even know if there's more since we just gave up), I'm not sure who's comfortable bringing a tree into their home that has had that many mice living in there and the droppings that may still be in the tree. She made me feel like I was lying to her. She kept telling me that she hasn't had this same issue this year and that she couldn't believe that the mice were still in there through the tree cutting, transportation, etc. TRUST ME, I'M WONDERING THE SAME THING and that's why I don't feel comfortable with the tree in my house. My experience contradicts the positive reviews I've read about the manager on Yelp. It's been an utterly disappointing experience, especially for a business centered around spreading joy during the holiday season. I will not be back and I will be telling my family and friends about my negative experience - not just with the tree, but with her as well.

This place makes Christmas tree shopping a great hallmark experience for my kids and family . We all have fun walking around looking for our own tree . Which one called's out to us all . It's easy . White tag up for grabs red tag sold . The great thing about this place is that you don't have to take your tree right away . You call leave it and let it grow a bit till it gets closer to the big day for a better sent . Staff is nice and helpful . Trees cost a little more that your average homedepot trees but the extra is more for the experience .

So excited to take home our Peltzer Pine!

Wow, such a beautiful property with wonderful selection of fresh trees! We were greeted by their friendly staff and received excellent service (seriously the best)!! Wish we had come earlier in the season, but so thankful we found a gorgeous tree. The trees are reasonably priced for the excellent quality. I highly recommend coming here for your fresh Christmas trees. Look forward to coming back in the future!!

Great experience for the first time next year we will be sure to go back again A helpful thing to know is to go early when the open you can pick out your tree pay for it and come back for it later. They sell out fast so make sure to go the week they open.

    6,000 trees to choose from!

Christmas tree place where you get to stroll through aisles of trees (Monterey pine mostly), pick your tree, and get one home. There is no xmas magic though (no music, no hot cocoa, no decorations). It's literally a place where you come pick your tree, but don't expect any xmas activities for kids. Our 6 foot tree cost us around $80. Prices vary between trees as size, shape, and color differ. Make sure you bring cash or check as they do not take credit cards! There's an ATM onsite but it was down when we were there... We showed up on black friday and it was not insanely crowded. It's well organized as you arrive and you park. Then you walk 100 feet or so to the lots of trees and here is where the fun starts. Once you pick your tree, grab a tag found on the tree directly (will be red if already sold), go back to the parking lot where you can pay, hope back onto your car, and head to cut/pick your tree with staff who will do that for you. Plenty of staff on site to help and guide you. They do tie the tree onto your car for you. We brought a stroller and managed to go to some aisles. Though maybe easier with a carrier.

The ladies at the front desk watch you as you self check out. they're either gabbing with each other, or overly observing as if I'm going to forget to ring something up! When I return something most of the time, there's a line, perhaps this is to discourage people from making returns. Whenever I bring something in, it's really hit or miss, getting assistance. There are quite a few that will really know their stuff in the hardware department or paint department, or lighting, the gardening area has been a little bit lacking from my last two visits. They always refer me to somebody there that does the plant orders, to give me feedback if they're going to get that in. And by that time, I usually go down to the local nursery. I believe the last time I was there I made four key copies, and one of them didn't have because it was two-sided something like that, and they were not cheap. I feel like this review is complicated because I've been there perhaps five times, within the last five months, so everything's coming to mind right now. Hopefully this review helps.

He took the time to answer all of our questions and made the experience really enjoyable -- thank you, Kai! This place is usually my go-to spot, and I genuinely love the vibe here. That said, on this visit it was harder than usual to find help in the outdoor area. While several team members were available indoors, they were unwilling to answer questions and directed us to find someone outside instead. After some searching, we finally found Kai. I understand that roles can be divided, but this felt different from the level of customer service I've experienced here in the past. Overall, still a place I enjoy -- and Kai's help truly made a difference for us

As you know bringing them out could spread problems like citrus greening disease or even pests to other healthy trees...So be cautious! Im happy that they had the tree so no problem to keep it aside till the shopping is done. Citrus pricing was great for example: 7 Gal was $79.99 plus tax and 15 Gal was $249.99. So great bargain. Inside, also is therapy...Gorgeous decoration and they were so selective about every piece they sell so it was an enjoyable shopping experience. Also, i love their return policy they have 1 year exchange or store policy and i attached it for review. I ended up buying lot of cute things that i didnt have plans to buy but its ended up another great selection to my little garden. There is also a big parking lot so no worries to find a place and YES its crowded bit you can manage it easily.
