So far, I'd rather work with ANYBODY else or install myself. Closed on a house in June, at which point the replacement window was purchased and paid for. The original appointment was July 18. Since then, Pella has not shown up twice. On the second appointment day, I called THREE TIMES to be certain they'd be coming and on time. "yes, yes, yes." Nope. Had to request the Pella rep call the service guy, who couldn't be reached, and then calls me an HOUR AFTER my appointment window to tell me (like it's not an issue at all): "yeah they sent me four hours away, so I'm not gonna be there til like... six." NO. Not when I took off work all day, because I never got a call with a 2-hr time frame as promised the day before, and YOUR TECHNICIAN IS NOW TELLING ME HE'S COMING TWO HOURS LATE. Please note: PELLA DID NOT CALL TO UPDATE/INFORM me about this. I had to call myself and get a runaround, so apparently nobody was planning to even tell me about THEIR OWN TECH being a no-show. At all. Great communication, Pella. Had to bug the company repeatedly for follow up scheduling. At one point, they couldn't even figure out where my already-purchased window glass was. It is now a month later, and I just got a TEXT from Jenny the scheduler (mind you, both time I was supposedly getting a call "tomorrow" to reschedule their screw ups, and was assured they would, she never called) to tell me she's not "canceling my appointment, but rescheduling it". Yeah -- three days before. So this means it's now the Monday before my Thursday appointment (my THIRD rescheduled appt), and I'm told they can't come until August 24. This is unacceptable and a disruption -- sure, I don't have work or any responsibility except waiting for you to show up to do work I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR -- I'm sorry, but my responsibilities are already planned for the week by Monday. Also, I took OFF WORK TO BE HERE -- and now I have to take off AGAIN. So three weeks in a row, I lose a whole day of pay! THANKS, PELLA, but don't worry about going out of the way to fix your own repeated mistakes. The customer will just suffer -- sure!! I live at altitude, also, which means that my window may now be broken into the season of snow for us up here at the mountain, at which point I'm sure they'll tell me they can't get here. Total garbage. Honestly, I'm not sure if Pella or CenturyLink service is worse at this point -- and that's saying something. I'm beyond pissed -- especially when all of these rescheduled appointments are not any fault of my own. Each time I am falsely promised something they don't deliver. I think their motto must be "Overpromise and don't ever deliver." Apparently the customer is never right, false promises and insincere apologies rule the Pella world of customer service, and you pay for things you HOPE to see come to fruition. Eight years ago, I called Pella to replace two sliding glass doors because they had a good reputation and a neighbor had recently had all their windows replaced by Pella. Their representative, Robert, came out and gave me a good song and dance. If I paid up front, I would get a discount. Naively, I went along. Many thousands of dollars later, the doors were installed. Since Robert didn't offer alternative options, I trustingly took the deal. Recently, I called to have them replace another sliding door. An honest representative came out. I found out that Robert had given me the high end sliding doors that were made for internal screens - which I emphatically said I did not want. Additionally, there are openings for detachable screens. I did not pay attention on the first set of doors because I trusted the company. When I contacted Pella after the recent installation ( which is fine) they said I was past the warranty on that set of windows and wouldn't even come out to check. I would assume that a company with a good reputation would be willing to take responsibility for their representatives even if it were 8 years ago. They said I would have to pay to have anyone come out to check the older windows. I guess they have learned not to address any problems but depend on naive new customers. read more

Pella is awful nothing but issues have a window from installation that is not installed correct. I need a screen door fixed that I have called about and a window cleaning bill that showed up today they were suppose to cover and yup that too they did not and I won't. Maybe it's time to lawyer up because I am about done. I have called and emailed and nothing has been done. Literally the worse company sure they will offer you any warranty you want because you can't get ahold of anyone to use it. Well, I am very picky when it comes to finding "the best" of everything, and after my initial free consultation sales appt. with the Pella sales rep., Jonathan, Carrero, I was completely blown away. He was extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and was able to answer every question I had in great detail. When he went in to explain the quality in the materials that would be used for the new front entry door of our home, I was even more impressed. It is hard to beat a Lifetime Warranty. Sorry Lowe's and Home Depot, but you cannot even come close to meeting this level of quality and customer service. Would definitely recommend Pella to anyone who is interested in having "the best of the best!!" I'm so excited about this smart investment decision we made. read more

I will keep this short and sweet.. Pella recently completed an install of 3 windows in my home. First, the bad.. which really isn't that bad. 1) The salesman was too garrulous. He could have said what he had to say in about half as many words, and half the time. 2) They are more expensive than Home Depot (who sells Pella Windows!) 3) It was about 8 weeks from initial payment to install. Now the good.. First, they did not require full payment up front. 50% to get the job started, as it should be done! (8 weeks later) When they came to my house, they were on time, and very courteous. They laid down tarps to protect my carpet, and in general, seemed to really care about doing a 100% job. They even went so far as to run and buy some paint to make my window sills look clean and new. They went the extra mile, and did more than I expected. When they left, everything from the carpet and furniture, to the window sills and my front door stoop, was cleaned. No mess, they left the place better than they found it. And the windows work and look great as well. If every contractor I had in my house did as well as Pella did, I wouldn't need Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised. +1. read more

I highly recommend you go ELSEWHERE when shopping for windows. My entire experience with them was awful and I would never recommend this company or their product to anyone. Their communication is horrid - you always have to leave a message when you try to contact their office, and they leave you messages confirming appointments (getting a quote, installation, etc. ) you never agreed to or scheduled. Truly unprofessional company and a nightmare to work with. I paid a premium for my windows to be installed by Pella, and after the fact I found out they sub-contract most installations out to other companies. Therefore, I was paying a premium for sub-par work. The window installers that came to my house were obviously inexperienced and not professional - they didn't even bother to clean the windows after installation and I had to spend my own time and labor removing the greasy marks they left all over the windows during the installation process. I have had the windows 6 months and already 1 screen has fallen off and the windows open / close mechanism does not work smoothly on several windows. Buyer beware - STAY AWAY! read more

I attempted to buy Pella windows from this Denver location, but it was unsuccessful. Derek Ansay was the first individual I tried to work with and got a quote. I tried to reach back out to Derek and had to actually call the office and was then passed on to Trevor Sinnard. Trevor helped me through a few changes, but then stopped responding to my questions. I only sent 3 emails. I think the amount was too low that they felt I was not as important. I guess $6k in windows was just a drop in the bucket for this office and it wasn't enough to keep the sale going. I am the type of customer that buys consistently with brand and would have bought windows, doors, garage doors, etc. With this bad experience I have decided not to buy Pella products. In the end I went with Milgard windows so they lost a potential lifetime customer. read more

Had a great Pella experience! Bought a house built in the 1940's and needed to replace all the windows in the house. The Pella team was extremely easy to work with and installed the windows while I was out of town, sending me daily update pictures or facetime videos to show progress. I was shocked to find how clean my house was when I returned home. Team really went above and beyond to ensure I was happy and super flexible to work with. My review is based on customer service, not the products. Their windows seem fine. A bit finicky as they are custom windows but they seem ok. We recently moved into a house that have Pella windows. With our purchase agreement on the house the previous owner was to fix one of the broken windows. To make this arrangement with Pella was not easy. First we scheduled the appointment and they brought the wrong window. They were extremely surly about the incident and we rescheduled the appointment. The the technician called us in error the night before our supposed appointment but he had the wrong date. We weren't even in the state at the time. So I called the technician back and he didn't answer the call. I then called Pella and confirmed our real appointment again with the surly guy on the phone. This basically went on and on like this. Totally annoying. Months later we finally got the right window but for custom windows they really need nicer customer service reps. I think I've had better treatment at McDonalds getting a $.99 value meal. read more

Hate to be giving out 1 star reviews but the Carson Street Location does not deserve your business. I have over 30 Pella windows in my house. I have two windows that had a seal issues and, and a sliding door that needed to be re-aligned. Since cold weather was coming I asked for a service technician to come out. I was told that there would be a $110 service call charge and that, if possible, the service technician could fix the windows at this time if he had parts on his truck. I was told that they had limited staff and that, if any additional work needed to be completed it would take about 4 weeks to have a repair person come with replacement parts. The service technician arrived, and inspected the windows, then said he did not do repairs. His sole job was to write up a report outlining the window issues and that the Pella office would then contact me with an estimate to repair the windows. Four weeks came and went. I called the service department and left a message. No response. Called again. No response. Called a third time and said I would wait on hold. Finally got a staff member to pick up and was told it would be another month or more for a quote. I asked about the $110 fee being applied to the cost of repair. I was told that this $110 fee would not be applied to the repair of the windows. Repair of the windows was a separate fee. It took three calls to Pella corporate and three additional calls to management at the Carson Street location to even get a quote on a window repair. The quotedidn't address the sliding door. (Nice attention to detail) . They suggested replacing the seal on the windows. I did not use Pella. I went with a local contractor who replaced the seals aligned the sliding door and told me that the windows needed hinge replacement, in addition to seal replacement to completely address the problem. Thanks Pella... glad I didn't use your services. Sorry I bought a house with 30 Pella windows. Hope to have them replaced with another manufacturer. read more

Contracted with Pella because my wife and I wanted a quality product with a no hassle installation. Installation took just shy of six months. First 2 doors installed were damaged, most likely from the factory. Window install fine, but inside trim was incorrect and damaged. Had to wait another 2 months to have that corrected and installed. Third door installed fine, but exterior trim molding damaged (dented) on install. Interior trim work not up to their claimed excellence. This required 2 additional visits over 3 months because replacement parts were either not ordered or wrong parts ordered. Third installer dented and scuffed interior wood floor around the new door. Never once received a call from management apologizing for the inconvenience and the incorrect or not ordered parts. I had to make all contact, except for the scheduling person. Pella windows of Colorado has some serious problems when it comes to customer service & quality. From the beginning, I had someone come out and do a bid. I never heard back from the salesperson because he quit. It should have tipped me off that they are seriously lacking in customer service. When it came to installation, 2 windows were the wrong size but the sad thing about it, they were 2 sets of matching windows & two were completely different sizes which meant that there was an 1 1/2 inch gap because the windows were too small. I had a window that was bowed and they figured out a little too late that they did not make a large enough window. The consequence of this, I was left with half the windows not installed for 3 plus months during the coldest part of the year. They screwed up and did not take into account the blinds I had, so I had to order new blinds on most of my windows. Jake was a joke as a installation manager. He did not want to do new trim in the Master bedroom & tried to pass completely different trim for one major window in my living room. I was fortunate that the installation crew put a stop to it. Las but not least, installation was started in November. Here it is April, and I am missing screens for windows. I get monthly bills but the work is not done. I have tried to reach out to get this resolved & no on returns a phone call. I will not use Pella windows again. With all the mistakes they did, the only compensation they say they can give me is when I order additional windows through them. Fat chance I will ever use them again & I will make sure to pass on what a crappy company they are. read more

From delivering the windows, to the install, and the finished product we are very Happy. I'm reviewing this product, because we just replace the big window above our front door and it is beautiful! Yelp should have a 0-star rating for Pella. I ordered a $1500 glass slider for a customer 12/20/2017, fast forward to 2/2/2018 the door has still not arrived. Our sales rep Nick has informed us that the door would be ready "next week" for the past month and a half. The first issues came up upon inspection of the door nearly a month ago when "The slider had been damaged at the warehouse" (+ 2 weeks to rebuild+delivery) Since then it has been a game of phone/email tag with our sales Rep as to the whereabouts of the door. We have had to move our installation crews around for 4 weeks now due to the fact that we keep being told "the door will absolutely be ready next week". After contacting the dispatch manager, and warehouse manager, we are still left without an answer as to the whereabouts of our door...Thanks Pella Team, you rock! I understand that accidents happen, that delivery gets postponed, etc. however after talking with the team at Pella it seems there is a serious break down of communication between branches of the company and no one really knows whats going on. We recently moved to a town house which has a Pella slider to a second story deck. The Pella slider has a terrible feature that allows it to lock automatically if the lock is accidentally set when open. Our family didn't know this and we got locked out of our house on a second story balcony. We could have been seriously injured if we had tried to go over the deck railing. We managed to get our neighbor's attention and were rescued by Police. What a terrible design. I checked the slider in our walk out basement which is made by Andersen and there is no way to accidentally lock yourself out with their design. I e-mailed Pella to ask if we could change the handleset to a different design so we couldn't accidentally lock ourselves out again, but I never heard back from them. RUN AWAY FROM PELLA! read more

Asked the local Denver team to send out a rep to quote our third and final project. They matched us up with Steve Renier.He stated he was promoted and transferred from Wisconsin. Based on his ability to sell and quote projects, he should of stayed in Wisconsin. He quoted the job, the smallest amount of Windows in our project list; and submitted a total that was greater than the total of the other jobs collectively. He was not confident in the sizes or availability of the windows that he measured. When I stated that we wanted the financing special, he stated that the price would increase to cover the potential that customers don't pay. Really! The up charges are amazing. Why are certain finishes double or triple the price? How long has satin nickle been available in the remodel business? Long enough that the uncharges are not necessary! To add insult to injury, I'm still waiting for the rep to call me back on the status of the order. Is two week to soon? Actually, I'm waiting for the rep to call me back so I tell him we will find another company to complete our job that is interested in selling windows not one that wants to screw a preferred customer. BTW, when you move here from out of state, you don't have the right to justify inflated pricing on the population growth here in Colorado!!! read more

We love our new windows! What a difference they made during these past few snow storms. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helped us select the best windows for our home and our budget. I had a hard time committing to a final style and the people at Pella were so patient with me. I am so happy with our selection. The new style changed our curb appeal so much. To say I have experienced better is an understatement. We had three windows and a patio door replaced by Pella and I would not recommend them to anyone. The patio door was supposed to be a flat threshold, I was assured by the sales person as well as the person who came with her to do the measuring that the threshold was flat. When it was installed there is about a four inch lip on the threshold. After calling the young lady that sold them to us a number of times she came to the house and filed a report with the manager in Colorado Springs. There has never been any follow up on this report, after numerous calls to his office the calls have never been returned. I am very unhappy with this door as I have a bad hip and knee and it is very difficult for me to enter or exit from the doorway. Have had two neighbors ask about the product and we have told them not to purchase Pella products. Also have had people from the church we attend ask how we like to product and we have suggested they not use Pella either. The young lady who was the sales person is no longer with the company and I can understand that, they also need to get rid of the manager in Colorado Springs. read more

So here I am again: service in 2018 was astonishingly incompetent (if George the bumbling salesman and project manager for our job was not fired immediately, I'd be amazed); at least one component (a sliding door) is surprisingly cheesy for a high-end outfit like Pella--poorly built and installed, a real disappointment; and the job is effectively unfinished, as one of the windows came without an important piece of installation and after months of waiting for it to be replaced I just bought some cheap insulation from Home Depot and fixed it myself. My Pella casement windows are terrible. When they are open, they flap back and forth, there is about 3-4 inches of play. when the wind hits them, the windows get momentum, then break. I have had them for less than 6 months, they have broken 2 times. The Pella representative, Jorge Varga told me that I can solve it by not leaving them open when i am sleeping. GREAT ANSWER. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Pella Windows and Doors. I would recommend them every single time over places like Home Depot that were so grossly unhelpful that it offended me, and that's pretty hard to do. Perry and his team at Pella were really good at communicating the good and the bad. The only "bad" thing was how good business is for Pella so I had to wait a few weeks longer than expected. The good was everything else -- great communication, friendly, hard-working installers, timely installation that took only a few hours. Only sloppy thing was installing a storm door with a missing part that prevented the sliding glass screen from locking in place so it slid down. I would have liked some minor concession in price for that sloppiness, but not a huge deal given the overall great quality. I think the negative reviews are largely due to these "little things" that Pella could do better to provide the best customer experience possible. I also think people could be more empathetic to how busy businesses like Pella in Denver are and be a bit more patient knowing the customer experience will be good, but not great. I would recommend working with Perry and his team so good luck with your door and window shopping! read more

Considering the reputation Pella has, I was shocked at how poor my experience was with them. I had a relatively simple (I thought) trapezoidal window replacement. I first contacted them in May 2019. The window was finally installed in June 2020. That's right - more than a year. They came out twice to measure the window, yet still came out two times with a window that didn't fit! This over a period of months. Months. During this time, I reached out multiple times to find out the status. They were so unresponsive I finally had to drive to their facility out near Commerce City to find out what was going on after repeated ignored phone calls and emails! Since I had paid in advance ($5,500), I had no choice but to hang on and hope they would eventually install the window. Eventually they did. But the compensation they offered to offset the major inconvenience (travel, days off work, 12 months of waiting for the install) was laughable. It basically amounted to the cost of money held for over a year. So, essentially, no compensation at all. Glad to have it behind me, and won't be doing business with them in the future. read more

Pella Windows and Doors seem to be quality products, but thats where it ends. customer service is non existent, I went to a Pella shop, in NM, to get some service for my existing Pella storm door, they could not help. they gave me a phone number for a local Pella Service Rep. I have left him numerous messages to no avail. I called a Pella service dept. in Colorado, They do not call back, I sent emails online to Pella Service and they don't answer. I've been able to find some replacement parts on Ebay, to do this job myself, because the Pella website for replacement parts is terrible. Moved into a new townhouse last June, two windows weren't working then. A new sash was ordered to be delivered to my house, but it never arrived. Ordered a new one someone came decided they needed two men in install. We are now into January the two men came took quite awhile they said all fixed. Now is May washing windows one could not be opened. Again called service waited another 6 weeks to come and guess what, this morning someone came and could not fix it. I don't know what is carried on those trucks, but it sure isn't parts - very basic parts!!! I always thought Pella was the best. In the house I left we have Marvin and I would tell anyone get them.
