Jeff at Pella Service Denver did an incredible job. He replaced the wheel assembly on my sliding Pella door and now I can slde the door with my little finger. Before I had to drag the door. Horrible warranty Waited over a week for replacement parts all whilst living in the city with a door that didn't lock. You think they'd overnight the part but they refused. Once parts arrived i paid my handy man several hours pay only to figure out they sent wrong part should've just bought Schlage would have saved lots of money time and headache. Instead in a panic to have a locking exterior door I was forced to pay pella $200 for technician to bring new locking mechanism. I expected better quality from pella. read more

After 2 hours, measurements, basically taking me way too far through the process such as picking colors etc. as if I had already decided to make the purchase, he quoted me $300,000 (over 70% the initial cost of our house) . The customer service department is absolutely abysmal. I sent an inquiry regarding a simple repair in early June as to whether they could fix what I needed to have done. I think we had OVER 10 email exchanges over the course of a month with my questions not being answered and the representative not doing what they said they were going to do (look up my previous order), and/or not getting back to me. And I am truly simplifying the frustration-level of the situation here... I'm sparing you the details. But reading comprehension and follow-through are not strong suits. You would've thought I was asking for instructions on how to launch a space shuttle. Anyway, finally I just said, please just schedule the service (never mind that after all this time, I never got an actual quote, since the rep couldn't seem to stay on topic and understand what my original problem/request was). Then they ASSIGN me a date/time, which didn't work for me. So I had to request another date/time, that they assigned, with a window of SIX AM - 11 am. Uhhhh... ok. Finally, the serviceperson came within the promised window, thankfully, not at 6 AM. NO MASK. Um, if you're going to come to someone's house during a pandemic, that might be a basic consideration. Thankfully, the work that was done was competent. All in all, this whole ordeal was WAY more complicated and frustrating than it needed to be. If you have other options, SEEK THEM. read more

I've waited a year to write this review, but am still so unhappy I thought I should share my experience. First... a compliment! The quality and finish on all 5 of the windows is top notch. Pella knows how to manufacture incredible replacement windows for an old home built in 1900. Unfortunately... The installation team could not have been worse. They pounded so hard on the original window frames that they pushed inward and damaged the plaster walls. (see photos) There was no mention of this to me. In fact they tried to repair one area with caulk! We had the plaster walls repaired for $1,075 which Pella paid for. The other issue involved the type of caulk the installers used. It did not dry for almost a year. They applied it in a messy way and now all the caulk has turned black with dirt which stands out against the white exterior of the windows. (see photo) I would love for Pella to come out and fix the caulk, but am so afraid of them messing up the actual windows, that I will have to pay someone I trust to fix the problem. read more

Buyer beware!!! Buy your windows elsewhere! We had windows installed 6 months ago and no one came to complete the project. Every step of this project with you has been a nightmare. We had to initiate every portion of the install. We've called and called and emailed for help with no assistance. Now today I was bullied by the manager for payment. I want someone at corporate to contact us to negotiate our final bill. I'm in fear of speaking to anyone at the local Colorado branch and now we've received a letter from a lawyer demanding payment. This is indicative of a $100k Pella project with 41 new windows. Our painter refused to paint over this smearing of caulk.. Letters to Pella's CEO and to Pella's Retail Project Coordinator have given NO replies. Cost of re-dos on this job are in excess of $3200.00 now. Sell you the works and then claim "out of warranty". What good is a lifetime warranty on a window if they tell you the reason it's raining indoors is poor installation? And your installation is out of warranty, it's been 5 years and it doesn't matter they're the guys that installed it. Run from these guys. read more

Terrible backstabbing, passive-aggressive culture at this branch that results in an 80+% annual turn-over rate for 2019, and with good reason. This speaks volumes of how employees, and customers are treated. Do your research and ask good questions before opening yourself up to disappointment and unnecessary stress, as an employee or consumer. Your positive expectations will most likely not be realized. It's a damn shame that a company with the past reputation that Pella has achieved is now expired, and simply good for nothing. Most of the windows are manufactured correctly, but there are many issues with damage, wrong sizes, etc. Insider reports are that more than half the jobs have issues from the manufacturing facility. The product is amazing. Everything else was awful! The first salesperson just up and quit so the company knew nothing about the quote. The second time, they missed several rooms. The third quote finally was able to make it back to the office to order windows. The installers were nice, but somehow they mis-measured five of our windows. Some were up six inches too small. Although this was eventually fixed, it took dozens of phone calls before they fixed it while mean while our windows had these huge gaps in the middle of winter. And did I mention it took them over six months to get it fixed? My recommendation? If you chose Pella Windows, don't go with their installers. read more

Terrible customer service and business. I had pella come out and give me a quote for replacing windows in my condo, everything looked good so I signed a contract with them. They had some additional person come and do a more detailed look into replacing my windows. That additional person told me it would be a lot more money that we initially agreed upon in the contract. Pella told me that since the second amount was a lot more, they would not honor the original contract. Didn't care at all that we already had a contract or how it would make them look. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say, went with a completely different company that cared about their customers. read more

Dustin, Dave, Tyler and Max just left after a two-day installation at our new house in Denver (big replacement windows and sliders). They were prompt. Neat!!! (The trash was picked up every day and the yard was "picked clean!") Thorough. Finished ahead of time. And the job looks great. We watched while they worked (not all of the time, but we took periodic "peeks") and they worked together so well, we were sure the finished product would be perfect. We are delighted with their work. And delighted with the windows. Perhaps there will be glitches down the road - but we trust that they will be dealt with when, and if, they arise. read more

I purchased and had 3 windows installed by Pella. The windows seemed ok. I started to see leaks around one of the windows. I called customer service and wouldn't you know the warranty had expired after 2 years. A technician came to look at the window from Pella. I was told it was an installation issue and the technician made some repairs. After 2 weeks I noticed the window still leaks. The requested the technician come back out and the next open appointment is almost 2 months out. Terrible customer service. I would have been better staying with the old windows instead of Pella windows at least my old windows didn't leak. Go to another company besides Pella. The product and installers will leave you dissatisfied in your purchase. Now I have to repair and repaint the trim and window sill because of terrible installation. read more

My review is based on customer service, not the products. I reached out to Pella Windows to address leaking windows in the master bathroom. I come to find out they decided to only look at one window (when there are two right next to one another) and wanted to charge me another $110 to come out and look at the adjacent window. After the technician came out the second time he advised both windows needed to be repalced, and said we we were all set and someone would be in touch with me when my replacement windows were in. I reached out to Pella almost a month later and was informed that my windows were not going to be ordered until they had a labor quote signed off on. Why I was't informed of this is beyond me. From there its another month until the windows come in, and almost another month from when they can get you on the schedule. I told them that this is a serious issue and every time it rains, the bathroom leaks. They were not able to make any accommodations for this. When I called in to express my frustrations, I spoke with an extremely rude representative named Samantha. I asked to speak with the general manager on Sept. 13th to share my experience. It has been 51 days since I put in the request and still have not received a phone call back. It really sucks that you can receive such awful service from a company that manufactures quality windows. read more

This company is so incredibly dishonest. They have the worst customer service. I purchased a beautiful entry door with all the bells and whistles from them because I wanted the best. I have had non-stop issues with the door not closing properly and their Insynctive devices are garbage. They do not work well and despite being very expensive and exclusive to Pella nobody at the company is able to support them. They refuse to address the limitations and will not provide a refund when you patiently explain over and over how their products do not work as promised. All sales are final - beware! read more

A couple issues with Pella. My first sales rep did a good job helping me replace half my house windows. I did have a couple problems with glue in between the double pane and chips. They replaced the windows. I had another issue with the same window the screen not fitting snug enough. Those two issues were resolved. I had the second set of windows installed. On the contract all I look for is to make sure they had all the rooms complete. Well there's an issue. I have three joined Windows all the same size. I had custom blinds made. When my windows came they were of different dimensions. Instead of having three equal size windows I have a great window and two smaller windows on the side. This does not match up my custom blinds. Pella says it's my mistake because I didn't catch it in the contract. I was looking to make sure all the rooms remaining to get new windows was on the contract. Since I did not measure the window I assume they were all measured correctly by their employee who comes to measure prior to the order. Well the end result is they're telling me it's my fault. I'm hoping they will change their mind. I really wish I could post a photo but there is no option to do so. read more

Do not use Pella, the customer experience is horrible. After an initial install date of 10-5-2018 our install was reschedule to today, 11-12-2018. No one showed up, and after a couple of phone calls forwarding to voicemail we were able to get a hold of a person that let us know that our window has not yet been made and that they'd have to reschedule again. After burning time off from work to take care of everything, we still have no idea when they will be able to install our window. Edit to address the response: There has been no communication, and no update to our scheduled appointment (today). Delays are one thing, not notifying your customers is a completely different issue. It has nothing to do with supply chain but lack of customer service. Edit #2: Today, 12/11/18, the contractor came out to install our window. The window was too large to install due to Pella inaccurately measuring the window. We are now going to have to wait again as the window will have to be constructed. read more

Yes she literally didn't want to get up early enough for our appointment. At that point I was done with Pella. I had been obtaining bids for egress windows - and had other companies push their high end vinyl at me... I wasn't thrilled with the price for the quality of the windows by these other companies. I was referred by a friend to Sam with Pella. Sam was an absolute delight to work with. He came to the house, listened to the experience I'd had with the other window companies- and offered up solutions from Pella. It was clear Pella was by far the superior option for my egress windows- and Sam took care of everything for me. He made the process pain free and easy. We will be back! read more

Avoid Pella Windows. The windows are actually good quality, but the service is terrible. I ordered a window replacement in August of 2018, and it was installed in December. Labor charges are typically over $100/hour. To get the status of your order, you get a run around and no satisfaction. The entire service/repair part of Pella is dysfunctional. read more

Recently we discovered we needed to replace 10 windows and our triple wide sliding glass door, as they were starting to fail on us. We reached out to Pella of Denver and had an amazing experience with David O'Berto. He arrived promptly, was always professional, walked us through the entire process, and even showed us why our previous windows failed. Through the whole process David was honest, a quality that is hard to find these days, as most sales people are pushy and dishonest to make their sales. Having to buy new windows is not an overly glamorous or exciting experience, but with David's help it was as easy and painless as possible. Going with Pella windows in our new home was the worst decision we ever made. We spent over 50k on windows, and have been waiting over 6 months for them to complete the hardware installation. They showed up twice with no hardware, and then just left. We live in colorado and can not fully close our windows because we have no hardware. The house next door just had a fire and now we have a lot of unnecessary smoke damage because our windows aren't closed properly. They are happy to take the money, finishing the job has been an absolute nightmare with no end in sight....The third attempt to come out was just cancelled. Order placed Oct 1 2020 via Lowes for install of two sliding glass doors. Nearly a year later, 3 different shipments and 4 appointments for install which means we have to move most of our furniture, window coverings in our condo and from our patio to get ready. Every time, incomplete or incorrect parts are shipped. The latest was they did not ship one of the fixed glass panels on one of the sliding glass doors. How the hell do you miss that, its an 8' sliding glass door. In a few days we hit 365 days for two sliding glass doors. A year of frustration, delays, incompetency. We evidently are not the only ones. Covid excuses aside, other excuses for delay were painting booth problems, then breakage in the plant, but shipping incomplete orders THREE times... WTF. And from Pella, just excuse after excuse. Useless. read more
