Several days later, another employee came and digitally measured all of the doors that were going to be replaced. The big door was going to be 96" across, which was for our den storage closet. He explained the process for this door and what to expect. Five weeks later, our doors were received and installed. The team of two came prepared and installed all the doors within three hours. Talk about professionalism! The doors finish was outstanding, and the black enhanced the white doors. The storage closet, which was 96 inches across, was awesome. One of our neighbors was looking at the work and wanted their phone number, which I gladly gave to them. Living in a retirement community, we do a lot of word-of-mouth referrals for our neighbors. The first step was to have Kale, our sales rep, come to our house to measure doors and give a rough estimate. It was right in line with what we had anticipated so we scheduled the next appointment to meet at the showroom. At the showroom we selected the doors and went ahead with the order. We put 50% down and knew it would be a wait with COVID delays. About three months later, we got our doors which was perfect timing to let us budget the cost. I own a local small business myself and do not take leaving a poor review lightly, whatsoever. Our initial experience working with the owner and visiting the showroom was great. Doors were about 3 weeks later than originally quoted- no big deal- but what I do take issue with is entrusting this company to bring trustworthy, vetted workers into my home where I live with my 3 small children. So you can imagine my disgust and surprise when my husband and I caught one of the employees rummaging through my kitchen cabinets on my indoor video cameras. When I brought this issue to the owner of the company, I was met with nothing but asinine excuses as to attempt to explain why his employee was rummaging through my personal property. We gave him every opportunity to do the right thing and were met with disappointment at every turn. While well within my rights as a consumer to do so, I did not file trespassing nor criminal mischief charges against his employee. But what I will not do is be silenced into not leaving an honest review, because I legitimately worry about the quality of individuals this company sees fit to allow into your personal home to do work. Doors are beautiful which is the reason I am leaving 2 stars; the ethics of this company and the workers who install them- might want to think twice. read more

I used DD&C to produce and install new doors everywhere in the house, including a pocket door, closet doors and a fire door. I am very happy with the look of the doors, the finish of the doors (wash with soap and water only!) and the fact they have stood by their product. One door is warped (from the factory) and they are probably going to be replacing it. Will was great to work with, the install group is great. We changed out closet and entry doors for four bedrooms and two bathrooms and although the doors and hardware are pretty solid, the paint color did not come close to what we were sold and expected. Looks like primer instead of a "factory finish" paint job. No point in ordering prepainted doors if they dont come close to the existing trim and base. The sales team was nice to talk to, but I'm regretting paying thousands for what we got. Going to need to spend a ton more now to prep and paint my factory painted doors. Installation was pretty painless, but there are still some scrapes and scratches from the team leaning doors against various walls and surfaces. Close, but not quite worth the experience. read more

A few weeks later all 16 doors were installed in a morning, they all fit great, look great, and it couldn't have been easier. My one day door installation took several days over a five month period. The installers and business owners were polite and accommodating but the final product is disappointing. Most of the doors were warped on delivery and therefore will rattle when closed. The "reveal" (gap on bottom of door) on several of the doors exceeded one inch. This was corrected on some of the doors, but at an additional cost of a few hundred dollars. read more

Not exactly "custom" because we used existing door jambs, but we had 6 six-panel doors and a bi-fold closet door measured, and once delivered they were installed in less than 2 hours! We were given paint specifications for us to paint the jambs and it matched perfectly. We had crappy, hollow, builder's stock doors that were either falling apart or had already been removed for falling off their tracks. We responded to a mailer ad to look into Denver Doors and Closets and were impressed with the quality of the product and the attentive service. The process for measuring the doors was both elaborate and effective, resulting in perfect fitting doors. The finish on the doors is really nice and seems to be durable as well (we have little kids, so that's a necessity). Installation was quick and efficient, installers were on time and polite. My wife and I recently finished a house renovation demo'ing everything, leaving only the load bearing walls. We had DD&C replace 12 old brown slab doors for new white shaker style and the whole process was amazing. The owners were very nice and accommodating, the product is beautiful and priced well, the installers were nice and fast. Installation took 4 hours and now my house instantly looks 40 years newer ;). Highly recommend DD&C. Don't waste your time and money trying to do it yourself or getting a handyman, it will probably cost more and look worse. We ended up hanging 1 specialty door ourselves and it was not worth the effort. read more

This concept seemed almost too good to be true but it actually is true! Will came to the house and did a digital measurement of all of our doors, then a few weeks later the new doors arrived and in about 3 hours; all 15 were installed. The finish on these doors is amazing as they are factory painted and oven baked which means the finish is smooth and gorgeous. You can pick from several styles just in the basic doors collection as well as many handles and rosettes (the plate behind the handle) so you can personalize your look. As far as working with Will and Kathleen, it was just such a positive experience. Something that is really important to me are the people that actually work in your home and their crew was amazing. They were professional, friendly and very efficient. We priced this against Home Depot and while they were a little more expensive, to us it was so worth it! The doors are ready to install so there isn't anyone in the garage cutting the doors which means there was almost no mess.
