    Shrimp Lo Mein
    Christine M.

Ran into this little gem looking for another. I don't regret my decision to stop in at all. Cute little Chinese/Japanese restaurant. They have booth seats and tables available. We went during lunch time so we took advantage of the lunch specials. Win win. I got the Shrimp Lo Mein, it was good. Not filled with soy sauce like other places. My cousin got Bourbon Chicken, which was also good. Mediocre. Sauce was good. The lunch special came with a soup, we got Hot and Sour and Egg Drop, and it was delicious. I'm a big sucker for soup so when I ate the soup, I knew it was a hit. Very tasty. We also got a sushi roll for an appetizer. It was good. All in all, it's something good for something quick. If I was in the area I'd eat it but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Our wonton soups were missing from the order. The Honey Garlic Chicken had no garlic in the watered down honey. Egg rolls were really bad. Can't describe the taste.

This place used to be my go to because their food was so fresh and the owners are great ppl but recently their food has really gone down hill. I used to love to order steamed dumpling from here but every time I order it now I always find bone fragments in my dumpling and I'm afraid to hurt my teeth. I also keep finding plastic fragments in my food, like their beef and broccoli and their food has become super oily. I'm not so sure what has happened to their quality since COVID but I hope things get better.

My boyfriend and I frequent this place often, it's our favorite Chinese takeout. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They have pretty average pricing for take out. The general tso's chicken is my go to. It's soooo savory. They also have a cute little restaurant if you want to dine in. Give this place a try!

Crispy noodles packed separately so they don't get soggy.

We were craving some Chinese food and were really lazy to go anywhere far, so we ordered from here despite the bad reviews. Well we were glad we did!!! Very pleasantly surprised. The food was better than we expected. (Probably because we didn't have very high expectations.) The food was flavorful and fresh. And they have good portions for the price. The chow fun (flat rice noodles) was my favorite. They actually use the really really wide noodles and cook them just right so they don't all crumble apart when you try to pick them up. The general tso chicken and shrimp was good too. I was expecting the shrimp to be battered and fried like the chicken, but it wasn't. Threw me off a little, but I still ate it and was happy with it. Crispy pan fried noodles were the hubby's favorite. The sauce....yummmm!!!! And the egg rolls!!! Oh Em Gee the egg rolls!!! Get them, you won't regret it!

It was a very authentic and cozy feeling when you walk in. The service was spot on! We got our food quick and we were happy. We tried the pork bao bun. This was so full of flavor on the inside and the bun it's self was light and fluffy. Next we had the shrimp summer rolls. They were ok, not something I recommend. They had three shrimp and the sauce was not very flavor full. The last thing I had was banh mi, really it was a sandwich with chicken and vegetables. I wasn't impressed with it. I'd never had it before either. I also had a peach tea, which was the best thing of the whole meal. This was sweetened with real peach and had peach pieces at the bottom. All and all it was ok, I'd go back and try different stuff.

We were introduced to items we hadn't had ever. We decided to finally return. And we learned that 5 years ago, they got new owners. And the menu is now totally different than it was. The small restaurant is located in the back of a strip of stores on the western side of 441/SR 7. It's not the easiest to find. The menu consists of appetizers and different types of ramen. As it was a cooler than normal night, we were in the mood for soup and ramen was fine. I ordered the classic ramen. First you choose the "style", then you choose your broth base. The style determines what is in your soup and what level spice you get. I chose the soy broth. Other choices are miso, tonkatsu, or veggie miso. And I chose the regular egg noodles ramen. Other choices are kale or gluten free noodles. My classic had one piece of roast pork, a whole soft-boiled egg, one pretty colored fish cake, some bamboo shoots, and one piece of dried seaweed. Along with a lot of ramen noodles. My husband selected the Hot & Sour Ramen. It was noodle soup topped with "vegetables", but it didn't seem to have much more than some scallions and green beans. I gave him my egg, so he had some protein. He said his soup had a decent amount of heat. I'm glad we came here to try them again. Now we know.

We waited for menu which seemed ridiculous as we were literally the only people there. The server did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. I asked about the size of the TomKha soup and if they made their own tonkotsu broth. (He said no so ramen was off the table). They didn't have a big pot of TomKha which seems odd for a Thai restaurant. So then I asked about the curries. Which was his favorite. He really didn't have an answer. I asked about massaman curry and asked if it was yellow curry (traditional red, green and yellow curry can be found at most that restaurants). He said it was a little orange, yellow. But it had potato, which is generally a yellow curry, so I just ordered it. When the food came it was beautiful! Colors were vibrant and ingredients were fresh. I'm really picky when it comes to pad Thai, and this was excellent! The yellow curry was really good but would have liked to have been able to add a little spice to it when being prepared. Broccoli was a bit al dente but overall it was very good. We had to get up and request the bill and to go boxes. The server just disappeared. Again... There was one other couple that came in while we were there. Why are we waiting? Clearly we were done and ready for the next step. The service was just really bad! Anyway.. overall, the food is definitely good. We will be back to try the other curries and menu items. I just hope the service is better, because this time around it was really lacking!

We started by choosing our base. My husband had the tom yum (kha?) one and our granddaughter had the classic and I chose the chicken one. My base started out a bit salty, but after all the additions it was perfect -- no need to add extra soy or salt to the broth. For sauces I chose two standards -- hoisin sauce and a mix i made of some soy sauce and vinegar (which I used for the dumplings). At our leisure -- it's all you can eat -- we tried many of the offerings. We skipped most of the exotic ones -- except my husband who happens to like chicken feet. I went for the seafood first. And liked most of what I chose, especially the large prawns which were my favorite. And I also really liked the rounds of shrimp paste. The clams were tiny, but good. The blue crabs were small and awkward to eat when so hot. I'd skip them next time. I also tried some beef and pork, but found the seafood options more to my liking. Of the veggies, I had a mix just to try a number of things. The baby bok choy leaves, the cabbage, and the bean sprouts were good, but I fell in love with those tiny little enoki mushrooms. My least faves were the taro and the hard squash For dessert, they also have fresh fruit (cherries, etc.) and cake squares on the buffet. And a separate ice cream bar. I liked their green tea ice cream the best. We were so stuffed when we left. But happy campers. We felt the price of the AYCE was well worth it here. We'd definitely come again. I think it's more fun with a group.
