Hot and spicy chicken was very bad -- chicken was rubbery and tasted microwaved. Sushi was also not good. Just get fast food instead.

Terrible, greasy. Overcooked food. We threw most of our dishes out. This was our first time with Peking and we will not order again.

This past summer Dao Madison was strongly recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to finally…read morecheck it out. I was told that there are often long waits, so I chose an evening where it was raining with some pretty heavy winds, hoping this would help me and my gf get in quickly. Fortunately, I was right! Dao Madison is located in in the same space that was once Ossino's Market and before that Empire Szechuan. The business is surrounded by a U shaped set of parking spots, but it's tight so go slow and ease into the spots carefully. While the exterior is largely the same as before, it is clear the folks at Dao reworked the interior. It is beautiful with a high ceiling, reserved decor and bright colors. I went during the evening but I can imagine sunlight pouring into the space during the day. We were seated very quickly and there was a huge group at the front waiting for to go orders, so this place definitely has fans! Even on a stormy night almost every table was full. The service was absolutely top notch. Within a minute after being seated we had water, tea and crispy noodles with mustard and duck sauce deployed to the table at rapid speed. I *love* the crispy noodles with duck sauce to this was absolutely delightful. Our waiter was enthusiastic, helpful and full of energy - quite a feat when you're serving table after table. I also have to say, it's incredible how quickly my water was constantly refilled. I never had to ask once. There are a lot of much more expensive restaurants that could learn from these folks! Okay, here's what we had: Chicken Corn Soup One of my favorite soups, but it's hard to find a good version. This was definitely one such example. Smooth, but filled with chicken and egg it was tasty and satisfying. Pro-tip: if you like a bit of a kick, put a bit of the Chinese mustard in and mix it in or alternatively use white pepper (which is on the table). Szechuan Vegetable Dumplings These dumplings are kind of like wontons and served in a beautifully savory and spicy sauce. I would get these again in a heartbeat. Cold Sesame Noodles Almost every take out place around makes cold sesame noodles, but few places make it *well*. Dao knocks this out of the park. Mix it up well and the spicy and savory sauces all come together to form an amazingly delicious dish. Mala Dry Pot (Chicken) This dish is served with a *dramatic* presentation in a small wok in a wood serving tray. This dish has a wonderful mixture of vegetables and meat with a wonderful base sauce. I comes across as a stir fry but I think it may be at least party steamed. This dish was delicious with a big variety of items to enjoy. Also worth nothing, you have a choice between white and *purple* rice at Dao. In general, purple rice is healthier than white rice so it was great to have the option. I am so happy I finally tried Dao Madison and I can't wait for my next visit!

Dao came thru in the clutch for us for a quick good meal when we were in the area…read more The first thing we noticed was the tight parking spaces - narrow little spots. This place is packed! It died down a little bit after 730 but still it gets quite good business. The chips you get when you sit down were a little stale. I don't really eat that stuff anyway. On the bright side, the sweet and sour sauce it came with was very good and the wasabi mustard had a huge kick. The soup dumplings were legit. As good as you will find in Edison. $12.25 for 6. A little bit pricier than Edison but you pay for the fact that you can have it in this area. The filet mignon with spicy pepper sauce was pretty good. Portion size is in the middle. Not too generous nor skimpy. It wasn't spicy. It came with delicious mushrooms and baby bok choy. The black pepper sauce was delicious. Similarly the pepper steak with onions was also mid on portion size and amount of meat they give you. It came with delicious chopped peppers and onions as well. Good flavor. Both of these steak dishes came with a complimentary bowl of rice. The pot of tea was also complimentary. It was pretty good tea. The service was great. Very friendly staff and they changed our plates after the soup dumpling appetizer. Sprite was only $2 and a bottle of san pelligrino $3. Good place with a strong loyal customer base. We will be back!

We were delighted to find that there's no fee for Sunday parking, so we definitely scored big time! We waited only for a few minutes, and then we were quickly seated at an adorable round booth, making the atmosphere feel cozy and private. They only give those to parties of four or more. The other tables were open-feeling. We scanned the QR code for the menu and ordered the following: Premium Jasmine Green Tea - 5/5 stars. A must-get! Aromatic and perfect with all dishes. A pot of tea is $9. Pork Soup Dumplings - 4.5/5 stars. Delicate skin. Be very careful when picking them up. Have your spoons ready. My only wish is that they served julienned ginger alongside them. The dumplings and broth were so tasty, we forgo the dipping sauce. Homestyle Braised Pork Belly - 5/5 stars. Delicate and sublime with the perfect ratio between the fat and meat. Fish Slices & Green Peppercorn - 5/5 stars. They gave us a good amount of fresh fish, and don't be fooled into thinking this dish isn't spicy. It has fresh green peppercorn. After swallowing, that's when you will feel it. It's pleasant and not Mala spicy. If I could take it, you would be fine. Dry-fried Cauliflower - 4/5 stars. Cooked to perfection as it's not overly done, and it lightened up the lunch dishes. Our only comment was that the garlic was barely cooked. Ugh, we had garlic breath for the rest of the day. These dishes do not come with rice, so if you desire a bowl of rice, it is $4 per bowl. Everything was made fresh, and the restaurant, including the bathrooms, was clean. The waitstaff are friendly without hovering over you. If you need anything extra, they are there with their tablets in hand, ready to assist you. They do offer desserts, but we forwent them as we were headed elsewhere for dessert. Great location, easy to find parking, and fresh food. We'll definitely be back.

Ambiance: Sofun Noodle Bar has a clean, contemporary interior with a modern aesthetic. Even the restrooms were thoughtfully stocked with Aesop soap, which was a nice touch. It's refreshing to enjoy Chinese food in such a bright, stylish, and well-maintained space. Food: If you come here, definitely order one of their rice noodle dishes since that's what they're known for. The Signature Lu Fen was flavorful, comforting, and satisfying--I would happily order it again and would love to try another rice noodle dish on a future visit. The Spicy Fried Pork Intestines, however, were disappointing. They were extremely dry, almost as if they had been refried, and the dish contained far more dried red peppers than actual pork intestines. The balance was off, and I wouldn't order it again. The fried rice was a solid choice, and the other dishes we ordered were enjoyable. We finished the meal with the Sweet Tofu Soup, which is essentially warm douhua served with lightly sweetened syrup. It was light, comforting, and the perfect way to end a flavorful meal. They also bring complimentary gum with the check, which is a thoughtful finishing touch. Parking: There is plenty of street parking and nearby parking lots, and parking is free after 6 PM, making dinner visits especially convenient. Bring your friends and family and give Sofun Noodle Bar a try! Stick to their signature rice noodle dishes for the best experience. Yes. Prices always seem to be alot higher here though and that's probably just because it's located in Florham Park which is kinda a "hoity-toity" and "high falooting" sorta village Lol. It's biggest claim to fame is that the NY Jets facility is right down the street. No big deal right? Maybe those guys get takeout from here too who knows who cares. I'm sure they can afford it on their NFL salaries. If you ask me that is one overpaid football team right there. Anyway...  I guess that's just the way it is, like the old saying goes "location is everything" so empty your pockets Lol. Hey look at the bright side you might actually get lucky and score the winning lottery numbers out of one of their fortune cookies right? ~"Outlook Not So Good"~  LOL!! Come And Get Your Munch On!!
