Worst buffet experience of my life. Walked in with a group on a Sunday afternoon and checked the sign at the door for the price. The sign (handwritten mind you) said the lunch price was $9.45. Our group walked in and had a seat to enjoy some food. The food looked like it had been sitting out for a good long while. The teriyaki chicken was dry as a bone, the COLD lo-mein had an extremely questionable flavor, and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like reheated chicken nuggets from the freezer. Because of the questionable food options, our group had leftover food sitting on the table. When one of the employees came up to clear some of our plates, suddenly our group was verbally assaulted as the female employee started screaming that we shouldn't have taken so much food and wasted it. Rather than harp on the quality of the food, we decided to just leave the establishment. However, when we got our check, the total per person was $11.25 (the dinner price) rather than the posted price of $9.45. Everyone in the group had gotten a water so, despite having previously been attacked, when we went up to pay we kindly asked if they had mistakenly charged us for a soda rather than water which would make the price higher. However, the employee AGAIN started screaming across the entire restaurant about how it was ridiculous we would assume they would mischarge us and that $11.25 had been the price for years. We calmly explained that we didn't know the price as it was our first visit and that the sign on the door said a different number. The employee continued screaming and marched us to the door to look at the posted sign which, surprise, said the price was $9.45. The employee was livid that we would pay attention to the posted sign on the door explaining the prices and proceeded to march us back inside and show us a singular, paper menu to which she had obviously just crossed out with a pen and wrote in $11.25. We calmly explained to the employee that she did not need to yell and that we were just asking a question, however, instead of any kind of apology, the manager walked out from the back and started screaming as well about how we needed to pay! I have never been so insulted when we were just asking harmless questions about the price. I can't imagine what would have happened had we commented on the disgusting food or atmosphere! It is clear that this establishment is just making up prices on a whim and anyone that dares to dine here should be ready for a screaming match if they so much as ask for a napkin. read more
